Hi Lisa, Jo here from Queensland in Australia 😊 Love this idea of putting the petals in the lye to extract the colour. Do you think this would work with blue corn flowers petals to get a blue/purple colour? Just curious -and I would love your opinion or anyone else ??
Never seen the Calendula petals in the lye ... but does it effect the good stuff in calendula cause of the lye and the heat ? Lovely Soap as always 😍 i hope you will do a Shampoobar Video at some time .. :) Greetings from Switzerland
Lovely bar! I've seen others blend calendula petals into their soap, so I imagine if one did that they wouldn't have to be concerned about not having enough lye solution for the batch ... right?
So glad you stuck with just two colours LIsa… I fear if you’d gone for three you would have ended up with soap on a stick not in a mould. I truly love the subtlety of this bar. Thank you.

Hey Lisa am from India was wondering if I could do the same infusion with rose or Indian marigold petals
Beautiful Lisa, did you end up using a little extra lye water? Thanks for the tip x
Just curious -- what happens if you don't cut the salt bars after a couple of hours?
Can I ask what type of salt do you use
I love making salt bars! Especially since im so impatient and want to see my designs quicker 😁. These are lovely!
Great, glad you liked them.
Really lovely bar of soap! Love the use of infusions. Thanks so much for sharing. 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
The colors look wonderful, and the essential oil blend sounds so good.
I think I need to make something similar, its so beautiful
Go on, give it a go!

What an interesting idea to infuse botanicals in the lye. Never thought about that. Do you know if you can add salt to M&P soap?
