    The standard PWM idle control valve has a failsafe position: when not powered or not receiving any PWM signal from the ECU it will stay slightly open. This is the reason why your idle is at 1500 rpm.
    At the time you will configure it's map, keep in mind that the valve will be completely shut with a duty cicle of approximately 20%, so start with 50-60% when cold, and lower the duty cycle as the engine gets warm, but don't set it at 0% when fully warm. You will need to let the valve always on with the correct duty cicle for the idle speed you require

    Epic one mate. My mum used to have an R-reg K11 3-door. I found out from its MOT that it actually had its last MOT in 2017!
    Enjoyed seeing some Speeduino stuff. You have plenty of room for a front mount intercooler. 😅

    There's some more relaxing and enjoyable watching channels like these and videos. Not instantly spamming £10k towards a vehicle, building it up bit by bit. Trial and error, having fun building

      @@the_mintiest_micra same but it tends to resonate more with the diy builders since most people aren't in the top 1% so it's about building up the money first or doing it a bit at a time

    Nice! I've been toying with the idea of doing a K12 Micra turbo build, so I'll be eagerly following this build 😸👍
    Hopefully that will be the last time the car exploded 🤞😂

    I read somewhere a long time ago that injectors run at less than 12v and caution should be used when testing them outside of the engine as you can burn them out if using 12v for extended periods. Great video, love the way you speak with interesting dialogue and smart explanations, you should consider going into presenting as you have the capacity to engage the audience. Great camera work too. Interesting build. Subscribed.

      Thank you, I did hear something similar about injectors, so I was a bit careful testing them. Everyone i asked said they should be on an IGN 12v wire. My best guess is I messed up some of the wiring back when I moved the battery.

      Thanks mate, I did check tps and everything else is working fine, I'm guessing I messed up some wires when I moved the battery, will look into it👍

    I have been waiting for that first start :D congratz! That is always so satysfying! My only advice is connect your Wideband controller to a switched 12V supply that is not disconnected during cranking ;) some of them begin the new heating cycle every time they are powered off, so anytime your car dies during tuning you will have to wait a bit to get readings. Makes it really frustrating!

      Cheers mate, as far as I remember, the gauge is connected to the ignition live, so it should stay on at all times unless i turn off ignition 👍

    • @matiganek
      @matiganek 9 месяцев назад

      On the clip it looks like it is powering off during crank. Or is it the boost gauge or sth?

      The base map I'm currently using is one that
      someone (MegaMicra on YT) made for his 1.4l K11 Micra. I haven't touched the ignition map yet, only the VE table to get the AFRs right, but I'm still working on it.
      Here's the 1.4l base map for now. I'll try get a link for my current tune asap.👍

      @@the_mintiest_micra Legend! Thanks for that, I'm running a full haltech system in mine, we only got cg13's in Aus. There's very little tuning information on these setups online and the car is basically a learning tool for me to get into efi tuning. It's great to have something to compare against to validate my results! I don't have any knock detection installed so final tune will be done by one of the local dynos when they finally have time to slot me in. Just saw you've got a new upload too, I'll check it out now :)

    • @the_mintiest_micra
      @the_mintiest_micra  9 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks, it's a KP35 Turbo from a 2014 1.4l Diesel Ford Fiesta. I can't say if it was the right choice yet as I haven't completed the setup. I know some people go for bigger turbos for more power, but they spool up later in the rpms.

    How did you put mesh in the front bonnet vents

    • @the_mintiest_micra
      @the_mintiest_micra  6 месяцев назад +1

      I cut out the middle part of the original grilles and used body filler to fill all the holes in the vent part. I then painted it black and glued some mesh wire on the inside part of the grille. Hope I explained that well enough👍

      It's a KP35 turbo off a 1.4l 2014 Fiesta, some say it's too small to make a lot of power, but guess I'll have to wait and see.👍
