Flying Dutchman is actually just the patties and cheese. You got yours wrapped in grilled onions, which is the newest wave. They definitely screwed up not giving you your sauce for the 4x4. I’d actually recommend doing 3x3, 4 patties is just too much meat to bun ratio. Anyway, cool to see you give a fair review, not like that other food reviewer clown who’s in LA visiting right now.
3x3 solves the one major issue with in n out for me - not enough beef. Been going to my local one (within walking distance) since it opened in July 1994. Constantly fresh. I even like the fries, which many people don't.
what im saying I went to Arizona a few weeks ago to try in and out and whattaburger and in and out was great thee shake and the burger butt the fries my gosh, I got them animal style and they still fell short like worse fries I have ever had soggy and chalky and just unedible. Tasted like if you grabbed those packaged breadsticks with the cheese dib and put on a outside of a fry on it and then poured water on it. DONT get the FRIES!
You gotta ask for the spread they wont just give you packets unless you ask. Next time get a 3x2 animal style, whole grilled onions with chopped chilis and ask for spread packets
