What is Ecrew? When I had to uproot and move to Indiana, there was a car community called Bcrew (B for Bloomington, Indiana). These guys became my family. Instead of partying on the weekends, I was working on cars- and I loved it. Since starting youtube, I have started what I call Ecrew. It's not supposed to be some childish "Logang squad." It's a community where you get to take 10min out of your day and be involved in a build, but more importantly it's a family.

its so cool seeing how your editing skills develop as time goes on. the cuts, the background music, fade in and fade out, makes it a much more pleasurable video to watch. nice work!
I love how positive and happy Emelia is about everything....
Congratulations on the duno run and the new parts with the power it puts out. Work hard play hard have fun
"Five minutes into this dyno night we are not off to a great start..."
Doesn't that describe all cars?? 😂
They cross at 5250 because you get hp from tq so torque * RPM/5252 so 500ft lbs * 5000/5252 = 476HP
The sound is freaking amazing. Rockin it Emelia!
For what it’s worth, it took several passes on the engine dyno for my LS1 to stop smoking. I ran a decent sized gap for boost. It made 497 on stock heads that I ported myself with a .612/.612 cam. I wouldn’t worry about the smoking. Put some miles on it first.
In case you were wondering... the HP/TQ lines will always cross at 5252RPM - Thats because HP is a mathematical derivative of Torque. HP = (TQ * RPM)/5252.
I am still trying to work out who gets most excited Rob or Emilia. I am going with Rob when everyone is having a Laugh, Emilia just seems happy / excited by nature.
ECREWWOUTHERE in the building. The car sound amazing...you, rob, shawn did some of the best work on this build. Once you find out what the prob with the smoke on decel...take that monster"hulk" to the track.
Buff that LS sounds crazy, the power is not as crazy as a lot of drag LS but anyway is a lot of power for a production LS1 with few modifications, keep up the good videos coming as always, E-crew, bye.
Teen spirit rob nailed it . You bought it as a teen, spirit at points is all we have in a project and life at times. Fits Emilia's life and her car.
For an NA car with a stock bottom end those are good numbers.
Emelia, your car sounds so good. That thing is a screamer, damn! I'm glad that you're getting it dialed in and can't wait for some track action. Ecrew we out here and Rob is the man!
Smoke on deceleration. First thing check valve seals. Common problem and easiest thing to check. With the cylinder on TDC (on compression) for that cylinder, remove the valve spring and remove the seal. With a dial indicator you'll also be able to check the valve guides for excess play. Use a spark plug adapter to connect air from a compressor to hold the valves in place during this procedure.
Valve seals on a set of new ketech head??
You should change your name to yeller hot rod ,and pay attention next time .
@@mattpamp8204 - Not new heads. The $499 deal is CNC porting only.
The cam really woke that engine up. It's a very good start. Don't name it Roxy, because that's already taken.
Smoke on deceleration? Crank-case vacuum blowby?
edit: Might be worth it to try doing compression-testing with the oil filler-cap off, or for that matter the dipstick.. if you notice differences in idle etc then, or for that matter compression irregularities, possible piston-rings jacked up or simply badly gapped?
I figured rings too. But she's right, it didn't affect it too much. She is a screamer
It seems logical that it would be rings for a few reasons, but rings with a too large gap is a pretty obvious sign that the engine has had boost before (most likely supercharger) and that might be why it was "built" before but it had been taken off long before she got it. Because when you put boost on those you need a bigger gap on the rings, but once you remove the boost the extra gap leads to more blowby upon deceleration as vacuum will suck up oil into the cylinders where there would previously have been supercharger-boost still at decel preventing it "sucking up" through the ring-gaps
@@Doogleraia I never thought of that. Speaking with my father (he has had several small blocks, all built by him), we never thought of a previous supercharger. Good call on that. But I think she said it never had that. This is food for thought
As the previous owner told her it was a "built motor" and it was indeed not, who knows what's been on or in that thing up to the point she got it and before she put the new stuff onto it.
@@Doogleraia I know, it's so hard to figure out what has or hasn't been done. I have searched that particular motor and it looks like just "stock" it's still pretty strong. I have seen 1 variation in a Trans Am "stock" it was pushing 330 hp and a the Corvette variation pushing 385 hp. Now that is strong (not sure if it was at the flywheel or rear tires) but still pretty strong. And the new iterations are pushing 410-445 hp. But considering what she did (heads, lifters, cam, and rockers) she added a good deal of power and torque. I just hope rings are going to hold up. It would be sad if she lost a cylinder due to bad rings when she had the motor out and they could have just done it all. But I understand her point that she was told it was "built" and she had a solid plan to just change a few things. But damn...that just sounded so freaking sweet under full load...oh boy I love the sound of a small block Chevy V-8
Cool we got here. Great job. Plenty of power for goofing off on a stock bottom end. Great numbers. Keep it up girl your always getting it and that is great. You've also got so many great friends, and helpers. Much love to all of you guys thanks for the fun content.
How did you get 510 at crank from 412 at the wheels? That’s seems like an optimistic drivetrain loss calculation..
hmm...i had an LS3 with 421 wheel hp and 459hp at the crank...?
wow great numbers, so happy to see both cars coming to completion
Ecrew we out here!! Nice numbers. NA power is diff for sure , probably a blast
That laugh when you drove the car after the dyno run says it all. Love the vids keep up the awesome work.
Green Goddess? That’s what we used to call our Air Force fire trucks! Think yours is a bit quicker lol. Whatever I love green cars!!! Ecrew we absolutely out here! ❤️
Usally valve seals will do the same, but since the heads are new i would doubt it. Ring gap would be the next area to look at, but if your going to possibly add a little boost later on a little more ring gap is a good thing, like .023 to ..025 for the compression ring.
That full stomach laugh when you got on the throttle was absolutely heartwarming! Glad to see it running. You should also stick with screamer because it lowkey sounds like a fart box....
Congrats. Put the jug on for drag race assistance an do a Big Whipple charger for the Boost.
that torque at that rpm will come in very handy in those transitions and readily available, so you may not have to clutch kick as much
Emelia! Name the S14 Ellie after the video game character Ellie from the last of us! Or another good rule of thumb is to name your vehicles after the person you bought it from! If I go off that basis my m35x name is Troy, Nissan Titan is Wes, R32 GTR is Ryan and ‘74 Ford F-250 is Louis 😆 btw been watching your videos for a couple months now, love your content!
412 to the wheels is legit that's enough to have alot of fun
Eric is Frieburger's tuner at Westec. Roadkill uses these guys, Great choice.
and those cars always run so well. LOL. jk. I know its no fault of the tuner. Usually whatever he gets his hands on is incomplete, or chewed up and spit out.
no wrong show boys, it's not Frieburger at Roadkill. it's Engine Masters series and they usually build some awesome power, then see what it will take to make it fail. the unbelievable one was the 305 Chevy making almost 600 horse and taking it until the pit a bigger shot of nitrous to it . LOL
@@kennethlaw5216 I used Roadkill because I imagine a lot more people are familiar with it. And he is in both shows. Mostly when they go to Westec on Engine Masters its almost always Steve they work with. I'm pretty sure Roadkill has been to Westec at least a couple of times. I remember Finnegan taking one of the cars there and Eric tuned it for him. Anyway details aside, Westec is a cool place and Eric is a very good tuner.
Can’t wait for you to start doing vids for DDE my favorite channels together. Amazing keep up the good work
What are your running exhaust wise?
Longtubes? Straight Pipes? Size?
Car sounds Rowdy as hell!
LS goes well with everything, good cheap power.
If you have questions are you need tuning if you're up north you should see boostedboiz if you're done around Florida you should see Jeremy from fasterproms
Best place to go for tuning hands down!
Predictions on times after slicks and skinnies are shod? 10.17s @ 133mph, backed up with 10.09s @ 132mph
Congratulations Emelia; your LS1 is making more power than my 2JZGTE right now (307whp, 272lbft) - which I tuned myself for the first time. 😔
HP is mathematically derived from torque @ rpm - 5250 is the calculation point.
SCREAMER hahahahah i just split my side open it fits perfectly LMAO.. you guys rock oh and Emelia you are stunning..
Call your s14 “Valkyrie” also *R.I.P Headphones users* 😂😂
All LS smoke on deceleration. It’s just a thing. And the power is about right. My LS1 with heads/cam has 420hp to the wheels on a Mustang dyno.
I was wondering why you didn't roll in new rods and mains also. It's very common for racers to do. Hell on our big trucks I roll bearings in around 300k miles regardless of oil pressure. And we are putting 750rwhp with 2450lb torque....and on 3rd rebuild with same rods.
Stock LS bottom ends are good to 500hp. More if it's iron block.
Naming a car is always difficult you want the name to sound cool and really represent the overall feel of the car without sounding like a grandma named it 😂good luck!
#ecrewweouthere
10:13 SURE, I BELIEVE YOU! 😂😂😂
802 Garage I bet so cause I mean this ls is no joke it will rip off that asscrack if not ready for it. Cause spinning all of the gears will most certainly rip something off or make me shit my pants 😂😂
802 Garage it’s not even turboed and I’m afraid of it that saids a lot about how well this thing is willing to kick my ass😂😂😂
Power is torque x rev’s , 5250 is the technical sweet spot, depends on crank throw and bore width.more revs and torque actually drops.or plateaues,
11:08 - She torquey now cause been doing them squats. All that thicc low end!
Speaking of tuning I think you should tune the Subaru because maybe it is running rich or maybe even lean because isn’t the Subaru your new daily and a name for your 240 sx Roxy would be a perfect name for the car
Emilia!!! I was like wft isn’t the bigining of your video!! Good one lol
Hey, new subscriber here. Just wanted to drop a comment and say what's up. 2019 quote of the year "all you need is guerilla glue and jesus right?" Excited to see where this build goes and of course
E Crew, we out here
I wonder if you’re going to try to drift it now. I sure hope you do! Jeez she IS a screamer. Can’t wait to see you showing off on hoonigan. That new law about loud cars came a little too soon...thanx for posting!
Green Bean orrr Screamin' Green Bean. Whatever it is, n/a sound sooooo gooooood
Great to see you finally got that camshaft put in in the motor put back together now if you want more power as long as you got forged internals you can put a turbo on it for even more power
Nice over 300 I’m excited for the track build
Nighttime + Private Road + No Headlights = SEND IT!!!!!
Duct tape FTW!!
Glad to see you so excited in the seat
Another awesome vlog and thank you very much for the my channel shout out on the last mail time
I love they way she sounds! She definitely needs a name now. Awesome video as always Emelia! #ECREWWEOUTHERE #ECREW #WithLove
Name your car Kirsty, because... ya know, She probably thirsty
I love the opening of this video - chill music, chill girl. 😉
That cam is hitting LS sounds good
Chevy Small Block. Wow,510 to the crank and 412 to the wheels!?!? Niiiiiiiiiice. Awesome
David Dangelo pretty typical for a heads/cam LS1. Mine has 420hp to the wheels.
@@mycorvettelife That is Fantastic!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Now, do you still have the 10.2 to 1 compression? How wild did you have to go with the cam? I know those LS motors already get like 300 to the wheel. But if you're hammering 420 that is AWESOME!!!! Bravo good sir. I can imagine how seriously AWESOME it sounds
@@daviddangelo1616 You can hear it on my channel. Its not even the most extreme cam you can get.
@@mycorvettelife I will absolutely be checking it out. As I have said, I just absolutely LOVE the sound of a built Small Block Chevy getting put through a run. Growing up I was around so many nice cars. My Pops had a '63 Stingray. 327 fuel injected small block. I "helped" tear it down and bring it back. 12 to 1 compression, wild cam, solid lifters, the aluminum heads were redone (I forgot what he said was done) but I do know they were 2.02 intake, headers, and of course the mechanical fuel injection. The motor was 360hp at the flywheel factory, but after all was said and done we were all confident that it was at least 420hp (conservative estimate). I help a family friend replace his '72 LT1 High compression 350 (370hp) in the late '80's. The original wasn't really a 370hp from what I'm told, so he got a crate motor and away he went with that one. He now has the 650hp version now (2015) so, I'm a Vette guy. I have also seen an all original Bubble Top Impala 409 completely restored from the frame up all numbers match. I'm sorry, I don't want to sound boasting, I really didn't do any of it except help. You are way more awesome because you did it yourself. I bow to you good sir. I love Chevy people and I will subscribe to your RUclips this evening
Generally smoke on deceleration means it's pulling oil in under vacuum so Valve seals or PCV system not sure if you have a air oil seperator/catch can setup?
Zamn love to see that run on track .
Hey just curious, what do you think of the new exhaust law in Cali? Are you going to make any changes to the cars or you just gonna hope you don't get pulled over?
E-CREW WE OUT HERE ! :D Damn this thing is loud !
That's awesome glad to see you doing drag just be careful the car can get away from you
Definitely in good hands at Westtech. And I love how it sounds now!❤
Emelia, should name her ''Beastie''. My black 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek is called Blackie. I had a pink 1995 Toyota Tercel before her and her name was Rosie. Great video btw.
E crew we out here!
It sounds so good.awesome job ! Just started viewing your videos it's nice to see a lady that's into car's I don't see that here on the other side of the U.S. I look forward to seeing more
Has a nice tone for sure.
Did you put sealer on the rocker bolts? They go into the port on the majority of ported ls heads and can suck oil if you forget the put sealer on the threads.
You look how I feel when I hear/see/experience a car I'm ecstatic about.
May I suggest Jamie Lee as a name? Maybe Jamie LS Curtis?
That's the scream queen I think of from Halloween and also the daughter of Janet Leigh who has some very memorable scenes from Psycho but (spoiler alert) she dies in that film.
Franca Potente had a good scream in Run Lola Run and it's a movie with a good frenetic pace so Lola might be fitting too.
Absolute Legend 😀👍
The 1992 U.S. Olympic Ice Scatting Team jacket is hot there Tanya!
That nasty first start! Liked.
Crank HP is usually not mentioned as it doesn't really matter.
When you got behind the wheel and opened it up, you looked like a little kid who just got what she wanted for Christmas.
GREAMER.... green-dreamer screamer-grim reaper. Congrats on the build
She sounds like a proper race car now! #ecrew #weouthere
S14 is sounding boss!
Dam to bad your on opposite coat, your car would make rudnicks ls2 look like a Hyundai, bad ass, i am not o.g e crew but been watching last 4 kr 5 months your living life to the fullest and having fun keep it up and congrats
Gorilla glue and Jesus LMFAO!! I'm 💀
It's interesting your "private road" has street lamp. "wink" "wink". lol. Good video.
I love your videos you make my day the way you laugh and giggle. I’d call her Christine she’s one bad Bit... lol 😳😳❤️❤️
She's a beast. Let's see how it does in the light!
3:08 HOLY SHIET....A BEAST! 😯
That some good power. All the brand new part u put in the motor made the 500 hp. Do you have list last vid parts you bought
LOL its funny how many people want to criticize and assume that something was not done because it was not on the VLOG.. HAHAHA I like your videos
Freaked me out there @01:01 for a brief moment :)
Ecrew We Out Here!!!!
U stoped my hart 💘 when u hit 2nd gear and i fell in love with u when u went on a rant about your car🤓
Call it Blair in the memory of Linda Blair who was an actress that is known as a scream queen. This makes sense because you want to be an actress, the exhaust is blaring loud and it is a scream queen.
E crew we out here
Instead of LS Swapping the prius (since everybody either ls swaps or 2jz swaps) why not use the new CTR crate motor?
It's an LS all you got to do is put ARP studs in the bottom end and the top end you can go thousand horsepower no problem
E-Crew we out here
0:56 you looked like an 90s raver from the Netherlands 😆 love it 👍🏻
