One of the best adverts I've seen in some time Thanks for that guys. There's nothing worse than an advert that shouts at you with zero entertainment. Great video too, just thought I'd comment on the particularly good advert. 👌🏼
I think it's very interesting to see how these cars compare. It seems when you do the big upgrades spending 5k or more extra than a standard kit you have drastically diminishing returns. Which makes sense your trying to squeeze out just a little bit more and it takes alot to do so. All the high car kits are impressive and probably will last much longer than low car parts due to build quality. But it seems in the end if you don't have a huge budget and you want a nice car setup you can get it without breaking the bank. Myself I like fancy parts but low car is very impressive.
You can insure those parts on your own insurance. It's just costs a little more. But the person that causes the wreck, their insurance is the one that has to cover it. And as long as they have insurance, they will pay for the parts they damaged. It doesn't matter if It's aftermarket. They damaged your property.
I think the 1500$ set-up is for new to drifting, and the 8000$ set-up is for those ones who devoted to drifting and want some sick mad drifts, 1500$ is enough to get those sick drifts... but if you want an upgrade, then just buy transmission upgrades to get high speed
6:38 if Mr. Humpty did that on the cheap car, he would receive a pat on the back, and cheered for adding some character to it... =D Hooray for K&N (a cheer to Ken Johnson and Norm Mcdonald for creating and growing their business since the 60's), back in 03 i had an Opel Astra with that DOHC 2.0 16v engine, with a K&N conical filter, a garage made cold air intake and venturi to the throttle body, a cat erase and 2.5" exhaust the Astra went from 128hp to 145hp, after ECU tuning, 168 wheel HP with 12% more torque. =D
I think Aaron might have just been out when they shot this ep. He’s on a new Motortrend show, and since this season is all about drifting having him around for the whole thing would almost be cheating lol.
What we learn today and more people need to know about: A good suspension kit can give you better performance, better times and make your car look good asf, go expensive on a suspension kit and don’t spend a lot in power, that could improve by a lot your car.

Low car all day every day! Impossible not to root for Nolan, he himself is rooting for team hi-car because he’s just such a nice guy. Sweetheart all around
James cutting the hole in the car was really funny. I love that guy.
I love that they show their mistakes. It's a real honest representation of how these jobs can go. And it's hilarious.
@@RyanRiopel Totally agree. Keeps me interested, and dammit if I don’t feel like I learn something every time I watch. Definitely wish I had their budget for high car! Hahaha
Love the longer episodes, quality quantity of content. More is better in this sense for sure.
Hi-Low is eventually the best serie ever written by Donut Media. It combines all the stuff & expertise from the other series like Up To Speed, Bumper 2 Bumper, Wheelhouse and Money Pit.
Glad to see everyone working together on the project but what I like the most are the other team members who rarely have screen time pop up here and there in the video.
Hands down. Much effort has been invested in the project and the video montage.
i've been tuning in to this series and it was always worth the wait i dont think my youtube exp. will be as fun as it is if it wasnt for donut there's no day of the week that i dont check if theres a new video in this chanel keep up the good work guys much love from the philippines
Great series guys! I have really been enjoying these.
I hope you'll be able to maybe continue them on the future with more sponsors. It's not just entertaining, but informative.
Cheers!
I love this season! I think having the first season of both the Z's and Taco's being long format was awesome but this upgrade series is awesome in the short format. Great job as always Donut!
Love the “now THATS a lot of damage” at the hi-car suspension receipt
I was scared that last week’s episode was going to be the only one this season
This is a pleasant surprise
I'm in the market for a 350/370z right now and I am so glad this series exists! Love the team and the show! You guys are making the best car content I have seen on any platform.
loving the series my guys, keep em rolling baby!
I absolutely love the sound of lo-car! It absolutely sounds like a beast!
2:24 I see you whoever is editing for Donut. You're a Melee fan. Shout out to Bizzaro Flame.
I like how theres less ego and competition this time around and they are both psyched for eachother
This show has genuinely got me into cars. Thanks Fellas, love your work!
These series are just so fun to watch, not only i enjoy them but i have learnt so much about cars along the way! Bravo!
I love this show so much! I hope that when they eventually finish it they try the next season with an easy to tune classic like a VW Bug or something.
They did season 2 with some tacomas, that'd be cool to come next
You gotta go watch season 1 and 2 first! This is season 3. Definitely watch the other two just as good
baja buggies would be sick!
Really nice job on this one. I loved the selection where low car was significantly less costly, but still used quality parts, not some no name ebay parts.
2:24 I can tell the editor is a Smash fan with that Bizzarro Flame
You guys are such cool fun guys that work so well together. These shows are extremely entertaining to watch and extremely funny. Thank you for the great content and editing
I keep waiting for them to let Aaron in one of these to truly break them in!😆
Donut is the reason why I understand almost 80% of automotive stuff. They teach better than schools.
I love how when James makes a mistake, it's not a big deal. You just fix it. That's how you're suppose to do it. If you fuck up, just fix it. Part of it.
The builds donut media makes are so fire🔥 keep up the great work guys
Agreed Hi/Low is the best series ever!!! Never stop making these.
Now THIS is the episode I have been waiting for. Whenever you say "suspension", everyone instantly thinks of coilovers, but for me the real meat and potatoes is in the control arms and subframes. Lovely work, fellas.
Yes! This!
Man everyone on the channel is amazing as shit bro took me from a car enthusiast to wanting to be a mechanic and build my own car I have a 2003 Mitsubishi v6 3.0 with race brakes and a mitsimoto intercooler with dual fans that's all I've done so far only has a 100k miles on it but keep up the good work guys y'all are freaking awesome
Go for it what’s stopping you Outside of yourself I believe in you now believe in yourself
Hilow is by far my favorite show on youtube, ur spirit guys is just amazing, just love the show
I want to give some credit to the editors, you guys/gals are killing it!
2:35 As soon as I saw free stickers as the box was opened I was 100% convinced that they're worth the $8k.
Pretty cool seeing your videos hitting the top 50 trending on the reg. Keep it up, Donut Holes
Such a great show, I love the chemistry and the work you put in these cars, I just wish the episodes were a bit more detailed and longer... Lovely stuff!!
I wonder why the newest host isn't involved in these. Nolan really blended with the group when he came in.
Glad everyone was ok after the accident! I was genuinely worried for a minute about if it meant this would be the last episode this season lol
One of the best adverts I've seen in some time
Thanks for that guys.
Love how it’s all hands on deck when it comes to these builds.
I love that James is not afraid to look like the rookiest of everyone on his own car show, shows he's honest and that the show is too.
I'd be embarrassed lol and my mechanical aptitude isn't even bad to begin with.
Oh man, I’ve been on both sides of this spectrum. Started running megan inner tie rods on a cut knuckle, now we are full on wisefab 😂
Love the new addition to the series but why is Aaron missing?
Nolan laughing when he’s absolutely struggling is my experience working on cars. Laugh so I don’t cry. 😂
I love this series so much!
Hell yeah this is nice to watch for afterwork. Let's see some nice drifts.
All the new hilow episodes are so happy and cheerful, its so so fun to watch
Bro this would’ve been devastating to a car enthusiast without the budget that Donut has. Insurance wouldn’t have covered that expensive suspension
insurance in your country sucks
You can insure those parts on your own insurance. It's just costs a little more. But the person that causes the wreck, their insurance is the one that has to cover it. And as long as they have insurance, they will pay for the parts they damaged. It doesn't matter if It's aftermarket. They damaged your property.
@@ArchieStiglitz if you don’t pay extra for the expensive mods in your car, why would they replace it ?
@@NG-VQ37VHR yeah but I most car enthusiast don’t do that
I literally set my alarm for 8:00 this morning to watch this love the series guys!!
I have to get up at 7...
(Really hoping someone else chimes in and complains about 6 so we have the whole country (time-zone-wise)
@@jackryan4313 The entire world has timezones, not just one country.
@@CookedOnions he was talking about the fact that the us has multiple time zones
@@jackryan4313 I got up at 7, but the video released an hour ago.
We need more K&N level of sponsorships. They quality of video and parts are amazing.
love the hi low series keep it comming!
Love the channel but gotta be honest hi low is the best series ❤️ loads of love and support (especially for the low team) from India and
I think the 1500$ set-up is for new to drifting, and the 8000$ set-up is for those ones who devoted to drifting and want some sick mad drifts, 1500$ is enough to get those sick drifts... but if you want an upgrade, then just buy transmission upgrades to get high speed
HI / LO is easily my favorite car series ever.
14:16 “Lesson learned, don’t strap your car down by the wheels” 14:28 “car arrives via trail, strapped down by the wheels”.. 😂
I am not surprised by these results. More money isn't always better.
Does anyone know if Aaron is coming back? This seems like the perfect series to have him around with drifting mods and explanations and testing
yeah, i noticed he's been missing recently. maybe he moved on from donut? idk
That's probably why he isn't there--he's probably got some races to do.
Thats exactly what I was thinking while watching the vid too
Maybe he is doing hyperdive again somehow. Heard they are filming another season
I think Aaron might have just been out when they shot this ep. He’s on a new Motortrend show, and since this season is all about drifting having him around for the whole thing would almost be cheating lol.
What we learn today and more people need to know about:
A good suspension kit can give you better performance, better times and make your car look good asf, go expensive on a suspension kit and don’t spend a lot in power, that could improve by a lot your car.
14:40 "nothing you can do about it" ... accept using good throttle management
New Hi-Low, baby, let's gooooooo! 🤩🔥
I'd have probably lost my shit at the rear-ending, especially with all the work that was put in, but I really admire that you guys were able to continue and push on despite that setback 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi-low is the best series in this channel, keep it coming! I absolutely love them
I love when you guys make James work on high car lol
2:49 "basically its a lot of sticks" had me laughing out loud 😂
