- Interested in picking up a leather MagSafe case? Well in this review, I’ll be going over 6 different iPhone Leather MagSafe cases to see which one is the best. However, that is for you to really decide. Throughout this whole review, I’ll go over the design and features of each case as well as talk about their fit and then test them out with several MagSafe accessories to see if the magnets on them are just as good as their leather. Then I’ll measure the strength of the magnets with a gaussmeter to show you the readings of each of these cases to see which one has the best MagSafe.

Could you do a video on the best silicone case preferably MagSafe. I have spigen it’s great, I’m looking at torras, apples, caseolegy. I’ve been using the silicone at home for comfort.

been rocking the Mous leather case for my 13 Pro Max for abotu a year now and it's held up better than any case I've had before.

Got myself the Apple Leather Case for iPhone 14 Pro - needed leather all the way around and not just the back - didn’t wanted to hold anything plastic or any other material than leather even on the side..

I love apple cases especially the leather. I just purchased the wisteria and the dark cherry colors for my 13 pro max. In my opinion, they fit better.
I have two Apple leather cases for my 13 pro max. Midnight and golden brown. It might be slippery when it’s new. After a week or two weeks of usage it has great grip. The feel, fit and grip of these cases are something else. I love them. I’m actually thinking about buying the sequoia green leather case too.
Nice! Yeah with wear and use I can definitely see that. Gotta see how the Lonli case turns out with its grip in the long run!

@@dfc2851 depends on the case but yes overtime you can see the color of the leather slightly change from use since you’ll be wearing in the case more, but it will certainly take some time.

The casetify cases have always seemed very solid, but that branding around the camera on all their cases is so hideous. I get it’s kind of a status thing with them, but it’s tacky.
Yeah I agree. I kinda don’t like the branding around the camera lip either. 😂

After trying multiple genuine leather cases for the iphone 14, The brand Lonli is the most protective for your phone and have the strongest magnet! I highly recommend it! 💯💯💯
The Apple leather case is a little slippery but the huge cameras on the 14 pro kinda makes it so your index finger rests on the case where the cameras are that basically offers grip. After a few weeks, the case will gain more grip while retaining quality.
i like the original apple leather case and the nomad leather case this two brand are my favorites

I don't know why Lonli doesn't get alot of reviews ..it's the best magnets with less than half the price of all the cases!
I’m a big fan of the Apple leather cases. I have one for my 14 Pro max and had one for my 12 Pro Max. The only real negative for me is the lack of protection. Be prepared to have some backup screen protectors if you drop your phone with the case on. The fit of the case seems to get better with age. I noticed the corners didn’t pop out much on my 12 Pro Max after having it for a year. If I were to buy a new leather case. I would get the Nomad one for protection. I know Mous is “better” for protection but I just can’t stand how it looks.

No worry. If you buy Andar cases for your iphone 14 pro, the bottom got full cover now.

I’ve been using the MOUS case for years. However, it failed to stop the glass back of my IPhone 12 Pro Max. I dropped it from just 2 feet while I was bending over to pick something up of the floor by my car. It fell flat with a loud slap sound. So to be honest, I really am at a loss as to what could now protect it from this. It was perfect on my iPhone 10 for 2 years even though I dropped it many times. Are there any recommendations to fully protect glass backed iPhones?
I don’t know see how any other cases has better buttons than the Apple case because they’re amazing already.
You should give the Decoded leather case a try. Really nice, and much grippier leather than other brands.

I currently have the 13 pro max and an unboxing video of it on my channel, I have it in white. I think ima sit this one out and upgrade next year and I want the black one!

I always find myself going back to the Apple of the case due to a few things the 1st is the aluminum buttons which is just something that you don't find on any other cases. The 2nd is how slim it is and how Grippy it is and the 3rd being the options of colors that they offer. Considering all this with the price, you can't really beat it.
Nomad have metal buttons.
Heard Nomad has quality control issue’s with the fit of the case being loose
i had Nomad for my 11 and it started to bubble up couple weeks later

never used magsafe stuff, but are the cases themselves magnetic? Or just the thing you stick it to?
MagSafe cases have magnets in them which increase the strength of the magnets in the iPhone.
You do realise a magnet needs another magnetic surface to stick stick right?....they both have magnets

It’s been great. It still has a nice and new look to it. I think in a few months from now it’ll start to wear in 👍

Does a leather case actually protect from significant drops though? I’m clumsy af, and have always had to use “armor” type cases
They definitely provide protection but nothing close to armor/rugged types of cases for significant drops. Those types of cases usually pack more shock absorption features and thicker edges/frames so it can really protect your phone. I’d probably just stick to rugged cases 👍. Btw after big drops with a full leather case the marks that are left are way more noticeable than on rugged cases in my opinion.
What about a Sandman pro case?
I think Mouse and Castify are not real leather. I tried it felt pretty fake to the touch. I love Apple the best because I upgraded to new iphone every year on Sept and only Apple leather case available. Also it has apple logo which beats ever other caes.
However, there is a downside with Apple leather case is the coating on the case since 12 pro max is so thick that after using it for a year, only the side of the case shows changes in color (patina) and the back is basically brand new except the logo area because that’s where my finger press against as grip. It doesn’t patina as good as 11 or any previous version with smoother round edge.
Also it’s weird that Apple leather case got a complaint about a “magsafe ring” mark on their cases for the 12 pro max but after the 13 pro max and 14 pro max, I don’t see those mark anymore and im using leather since day one and magsafe charge it everyday. Now seems Nomad having it.
The way I know if it real leather or not it using an 70% alcohol wipe to wipe out. If there is color coming the case and the case begins to soak wet. It’s a real leather.
The white lettering on the Casetify case is really ugly in my view. I certainly wouldn’t buy one like that. I might tolerate the lettering in black. Just. An embossed, discrete logo would be much better.

Hi, I need your help. I'm searching for a leather case with strong magnets. Can you assist me? Currently, I use Magbak, and I don't really need the option for it to stick to the wall. However, I need something powerful so I don't have to worry about my power bank and wallet, both of which use MagSafe. Thank you so much; I hope you can help me. I've been struggling to find a good leather one with robust magnets. Something with 100 mT* would be perfect. THX. What about SandMarc? How powerful are they, or maybe Bandwerk? So out of all the magnetic iPhone leather cases I’ve tested the Moshi Napa slim case was the one that had the strongest magnets on them. However it seems like they didn’t make any cases for the iPhone 15 series. Pretty much all the other leather cases I’ve tested hover over or slightly under 50 mT. So a majority of them don’t get anywhere over 70 mT unlike Moshi’s napa slim case. I have yet to find a leather case that is close to 100 mT in magnetic strength. I’m planning on doing another leather case review down the road and maybe I’ll uncover some with better magnetic strength.

Maybe it’s just me but I hate the super sensitive buttons. All the reviews act like that’s a great thing but I like them to not be too sensitive. With super easy “clicky” or “tactile” buttons I find they get accidentally pressed way too often. I prefer a more deliberate press to make it activate.

So the Andar case in this review had the strongest smelling leather and the thickest but I wouldn’t say plushiest leather case was the lonli classic. Hope that helps 👍

So I had it for my iPhone 13 and enjoyed it. Magnets were pretty good and better than the Apple leather case.

The Mous and Casetify have artificially pebbled leather.
Andar and Nomad are using true full grain, aniline dyed leather.
Apple is using cheap genuine leather with a pigmented/painted finish.
I’ve had a look and it seems that Apple’s leather iPhone cases are made by Ecco in Europe. Ecco make cases for other manufacturers which are described as premium, full-grain leather. Are you suggesting that they use an inferior leather to make Apple iPhone cases? I find that highly unlikely. Perhaps you could provide a source for your information? TIA.

The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max Leather Midnight package I’m holding in my hand oddly says “genuine” (not full grain) leather and MADE IN CHINA as does the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max Golden Brown leather case I’m holding in my *other* hand.
