Love the comparison of these different job descriptions. I did not know all this. I will definitely get a planner when I have an event of any kind. I do not like to plan things myself. I rather put that level of work to someone else.

Event coordinator is the way to go because I am a leader! I am able to get the job done! I am good at allocating tasks and people to get them done. I like the day of planning instead of month long planning.

Question, I'm not a decorator(I guess event designer) but I've just hired one for the 1st time. When you decorate a event do you stay for the duration of the party or do you return at the end to pickup your items?
Thanks for breaking this down. I was just researching the difference. I'm more into the small intricate designs and details, versus being responsible for calling the vendors and setting everything up. I tip my hat to coordinators and planners. Together it all makes a great team!
