At 71, I don't always understand or have a need for some of the new electronics but watch them because I might learn something that is moto related. Like you said, if at the thumnail, if the toppic is not for you than just don't watch. The world has changed 😢 with so much disrespect. Let's all take a step back, take a breath, and move forward. Knowledge is king. 👍👍

A computer / laptop these days should be fairly affordable that can handle almost anything you do with it. It's not the olden days where it would be a problem.
Morning Dave. We do the product/bike reviews every now and then, to add a bit of variation/interest to our channels (and as in your case try and make a couple of quid, though I haven’t been approached yet 😉), and it’s up to us how we run them. If muppets are too blinkered about what “they” think our channels should be about, then they need to do one. I now follow the advice you gave me, and block the negative/insulting idiots 😉. I agree about the revenue from our vids, and to be quite honest, it’s laughable how little we get 🙄😂. As for the computer, when looking, video editing pc set ups were crazy money, but the hard/software required by gamers is not too far off the mark, which is the way I went. I couldn’t tell you how many cores etc, but Davinci Resolve 18 works really well on it. I bought from a chap, who puts them together at his home, cost me less than £800 about 3 years ago. Although it does have two 1TB storage drives, I always save completed vids to external hard drives, firstly to ensure the pc continues to run smoothly, and secondly so I have the content saved in case RUclips has a “moment” and loses it all. Keep up the good work 😊
Cheers Ian yes gaming computers come pretty close. It wasn’t until I looked at the spec of mine that I realised how poor it was (apart from the RAM). I considered going Mac Mini Pro but I’d have to remortgage! New “mini” PC it is 😎
@@thebingleywheelertbh, it all goes way over my head. I just know to keep it clean and junk free, to make it run ok. My old (and knackered) laptop runs i5, and it is so painfully slow. I only use it when we are away on holiday, but what would take 5 hours on my pc, takes a whole day (at least) on the laptop.
Keep on reviewing Dave , it's always interesting to see different bikes or products occasionally, and if it helps your channel all the better, and it's much appreciated all the time and effort you and other vloggers put in , just so we can sit here with a leisurely brew and watch the result! Keep calm and carry on. For me your channel is a primary source of good biking info. Love the bike reviews, the ride outs and the product reviews. A variation on a theme keeps the channel fresh and it's all relative to biking. Keep it up Dave.

I appreciate all vloggers efforts, I certainly couldn't find the time to it. I think product reviews are entirely normal, there's got to be some payback for a person's time & effort.
I like both the ride and the review videos. How's this for an idea? You ride around Yorkshire sampling and reviewing pork pies so we can follow in your footsteps? I do like a good pork pie!
I recall seeing a bike product review , can’t remember who, but they stated that they had agreement with the supplier in which they managed to agree that all the info good and bad would be covered and reported. I guess this shows confidence by the manufacturer etc and it seemed like a good safety valve to avoid litigation etc, ie it was a contract allowing criticism. I suppose that with this risk of being sued growing it may be worth tubers exploring simple contracts like that before they review. It seems an important part of marketing now days so perhaps the providers will go for it thus relieving some of that risk. Your candour is appreciated by all of us and good luck to all the utubers. It might work if all of you got together and made this a consistent requirement .
I for one, totally agree with you. I completely support your making product reviews as I personally find them very informative and useful. Personally, I’d give my left bollock to be sent products to review on my tiny channel! 😂 Keep on going and continue to give us balanced reviews on products.

Keep doing the content you want ,your channel is your business... as for the PC,if don't want those expenses, first of all check the heating issue ,the dust on cooler ribs and paste under cooler...
Keep doing your stuff . I haveriden for a year because of an accident so l enjoy it. People can cause a lot of problems being brave hidden, but reviews help people us bikers. Its great to see the great Yorkshire areas .

If I could fly to Britain and rent a bike, I’d gladly pay just to follow you around that lovely countryside. And then have the opportunity to sit around after and enjoy a drink and a bit of conversation, well, that would be heaven. There is so much stuff out there aimed at motorcyclists, some of it useful and very good, some of it rubbish, so I find it very useful when somebody I trust does a review and gives an honest opinion. If this also entails a discount code, then all the better! TBW is one of my main channels that I look forward to any new videos being released.
There will always be people out there for no other reason other than they can and will give you a hard time. It's easy because they are anonymous and there's zero comeback. Rise above it mate. Your channel is a goodun and very informative.
Keep doing what you enjoy Dave, ignore the trolls they just want an excuse to be a keyboard warrior, very brave when they're not face to face with you. Simply don't watch stuff if it's not your thing.

It's amazing how certain bike channels who are so far in the pocket of certain manufacturers and bike dealers and no one seems to have a problem with that yet a couple of product reviews are suddenly a problem 🙄
Forget product reviews. As you say, Folks can decide for themselves if they want to see it. Occasionally, I'll see something interesting... I'd love to see a Pork Pie ride : Dales vs. Moors! My faves are near Whitby... what about it? All on a bike, of course! ❤ ...plus you may have to overnight somewhere to digest them!
It never ceases to amaze me how many small minded, bitter little people there are out there, always ready to stir up a nice dollop of ill will at any opportunity. Keep doing what you're doing mate, most of us are very grateful for your efforts. Hit that 'block' button, shun the naysayers, and bugger the iceberg; full steam ahead.
Its unlikely if an office PC has a dedicated graphics card (usually onboard or integrated into the chip) Use CPUZ or similar to identify your motherboard and the see if a CPU upgrade is possible.
I bought an Aoocci C5 as a result of your review video, and I absolutely love it. I've spent 3 times what that cost just buying a satnav in the past. The 18% discount was the icing on the cake. Like my mate Doubleboost says about his cooking videos: "If you don't like them, don't watch them". It's the same with your reviews. If you don't like them, don't watch!
I’ve never understood why someone who watches the content a “RUclipsr “ puts out for free, feels they have the right to give out crap to them for them maybe making a few quid. I have no issue with anyone putting out a review as long as it’s clear that’s what it is. I think it’s also important that the RUclipsr does actually like the product for their integrity, the audience will soon see through it. There was a very popular motorcycle content creator who integrated a product into their videos making out it was something they always used. So obvious it wasn’t and it feels like you’re being conned. Not good. What you do by making it clear it is a review is exactly the way to go. 👍🏻

Reviews explaining the cons as well as the pros are fine, particularly if they are dealing with "normally" priced gear, ie. low to middle price range that most of us would buy. What I personally cannot stand is the gushing reviews of "super premium" (hate that word!) products, telling us what fantastic value the £1500 riding jacket or similar is.
Keep up the good work! Nothing wrong with an honest product review, even when you've received the product as a "free" gift. Considering the cost and time to make a review video, it's not really lucrative for a small channel. I'm not doing them right now, but I totally understand why you would.

You provide a brilliant and interesting channel that over time has given people hours of interesting and enjoyable viewing that's free of charge. Been a biker myself these product reviews are of interest to me and loads of other proper bikers so keep doing exactly what ya doing Dave take no notice of idiots that more than likely don't even ride motorcycles making stupid comments.

Just keep doing what you need to do to keep your channel going. Everyone has a choice if they don’t like the review they don’t have to watch it just enjoy the riding ones. Personally I’ve found them informative and have given me some ideas in particular fitting the healteck thunder box
I was told get the most expensive computer you can afford, it will last longer and be much quicker. Also the old windows is not being supported after 2025.
I feel for the poor souls who bring their sad lives frustrations to content like yours. Hard to dismiss them I guess but the vast majority enjoy your content and your enjoyment of bikes in general as well as your humour. Look at he MacBook M1 M2 etc for video editing not cheap but good value and performance. Ride safe.
It's a truism that the best quality video of any era, is hampered by the cost of the technology to process and edit it. My four year old camera shoots at 200 Mbps, beyond any capabilities of my computer and I assume things have increased since then.
Keep it up Dave, you’ve got my support amongst you many thousands of viewers. I enjoy ALL that you do. I have never understood people that feel obliged to be negative and nasty. Its simple, if you don’t like something, don’t watch it. Keep up the good work, you’re a good chap.

This is Your Channel. Your decisions are entirely up to you. Some will appreciate it, I think, and a small number of ''entitled'' viewers out of thousands may be brassed off with it. I do not have USB or TFT facilities on my bike but the technology, for me, is interesting. I have seen this attitude emerge on other channels. Thanks for uploading these videos.
It may be a 'hobby', but it's also a subsequent financial and time consuming 'job'. Blimey, why are people so negative? I certainly get the point about editing Dave. Very time consuming. I have seen product reviews where false claims have been made ie an energy bar claimed to be good for you when it’s full of sugar . I binned that person, so I can see some viewers being suspicious. However, being rude is not on so I would block them. It can be a big advertising opportunity for product makers and sellers so an honest review is always sought after.
Hi Dave, I used to build my own PCs so id suggest a AM4 based system with a Ryzen 5900x and a DDR4 32GB set up youll have 12 cores 24 threads. Reason being is that AM5, DDR5 is now released depressing the prices of the previous gen items i.e DDR4. As for the GPU you could go for a 3080 or something. Anyway if you want to chat about Im happy too 😊. Good topic on the product reviews! 👍

Whats wrong with product reviews for gods sake !. Keep em coming mate. Man Cave Moto did one on a tyre inflator about a year ago, looked like a good idea, so bought one and its saved my bacon at least twice , brilliant .
The channel is great, ignore the bankers, limited by their narrow world view. They are doing nothing useful in the world and probably do not understand the concept of simply not watching content if of no interest to the them. Keep it up. Most of us enjoy your content, even me from Lancs!

Erm, if you aren't interested in something why do you watch/read/listen etc. to it? All the channels I watch occasionally post stuff I'm not interested in and, guess what, I don't watch it. That doesn't mean the channel is bad. It means I'm not interested in that particular video...

Hey TBW gotta say I see no point in giving negative personal comments on creators for reviews as they inform people of products that could be just what they need to their attention. I bought the Aoocci which I have not yet fitted and since have changed my bike which is by the by .It's up to the viewer to go and check out the product and make their own decision on whether it fulfils their needs and the price is right it more or less just a glimpse of what is available and what it does .Noubt wrong with that mate 😉👌👍

I love product reviews , but as l told you before Dave, l got blocked 🚫 from Stuart Fillinghams channel because l made a very well mannered comment about not liking the idea of replacing side casing on a RE with leather tool bags. I wrote to Stuart who assured me he never blocked 🚫 me but the reality is, I'm Blocked from a channel l really like. All l said was, it's quite difficult to clean the bike with fixed leather tool bags attached. I perfer the plastic side casings with the Triumph decals, which are easy to clean and remove when changing air filter and maintenance.
I expect the truth is more simple that people don't like others getting things for free. I think doing reviews seperatly as you do is a good way as people then don't have to watch, there choice.

Keep doing your stuff . I haveriden for a year because of an accident so l enjoy it. People can cause a lot of problems being brave hidden, but reviews help people us bikers. Its great to see the great Yorkshire areas .

There is so much stuff out there aimed at motorcyclists, some of it useful and very good, some of it rubbish, so I find it very useful when somebody I trust does a review and gives an honest opinion. Its unlikely if an office PC has a dedicated graphics card (usually onboard or integrated into the chip) Use CPUZ or similar to identify your motherboard and the see if a CPU upgrade is possible.
I bought an Aoocci C5 as a result of your review video, and I absolutely love it. I've spent 3 times what that cost just buying a satnav in the past. The 18% discount was the icing on the cake.
Like my mate Doubleboost says about his cooking videos: "If you don't like them, don't watch them".
It's the same with your reviews. If you don't like them, don't watch!

I’ve never understood why someone who watches the content a “RUclipsr “ puts out for free, feels they have the right to give out crap to them for them maybe making a few quid.
I have no issue with anyone putting out a review as long as it’s clear that’s what it is. I think it’s also important that the RUclipsr does actually like the product for their integrity, the audience will soon see through it.
There was a very popular motorcycle content creator who integrated a product into their videos making out it was something they always used. So obvious it wasn’t and it feels like you’re being conned. Not good.
What you do by making it clear it is a review is exactly the way to go. 👍🏻

Reviews explaining the cons as well as the pros are fine, particularly if they are dealing with "normally" priced gear, ie. low to middle price range that most of us would buy. What I personally cannot stand is the gushing reviews of "super premium" (hate that word!) products, telling us what fantastic value the £1500 riding jacket or similar is.

Keep up the good work! Nothing wrong with an honest product review, even when you've received the product as a "free" gift. Considering the cost and time to make a review video, it's not really lucrative for a small channel. I'm not doing them right now, but I totally understand why you would.

Hi Dave I really don't understand why people don't want to see product reviews. You provide a brilliant and interesting channel that over time has given people hours of interesting and enjoyable viewing that's free of charge.
Been a biker myself these product reviews are of interest to me and loads of other proper bikers so keep doing exactly what ya doing Dave take no notice of idiots that more than likely don't even ride motorcycles making stupid comments.

Just keep doing what you need to do to keep your channel going. Everyone has a choice if they don’t like the review they don’t have to watch it just enjoy the riding ones. Personally I’ve found them informative and have given me some ideas in particular fitting the healteck thunder box

I was told get the most expensive computer you can afford, it will last longer and be much quicker. Also the old windows is not being supported after 2025.
I feel for the poor souls who bring their sad lives frustrations to content like yours. Hard to dismiss them I guess but the vast majority enjoy your content and your enjoyment of bikes in general as well as your humour. Look at he MacBook M1 M2 etc for video editing not cheap but good value and performance. Ride safe.
It's a truism that the best quality video of any era, is hampered by the cost of the technology to process and edit it. My four year old camera shoots at 200 Mbps, beyond any capabilities of my computer and I assume things have increased since then.
Keep it up Dave, you’ve got my support amongst you many thousands of viewers. I enjoy ALL that you do. I have never understood people that feel obliged to be negative and nasty. Its simple, if you don’t like something, don’t watch it. Keep up the good work, you’re a good chap.

I certainly get the point about editing Dave. Very time consuming. I have seen product reviews where false claims have been made ie an energy bar claimed to be good for you when it’s full of sugar . I binned that person, so I can see some viewers being suspicious. However, being rude is not on so I would block them. It can be a big advertising opportunity for product makers and sellers so an honest review is always sought after.
Hi Dave, I used to build my own PCs so id suggest a AM4 based system with a Ryzen 5900x and a DDR4 32GB set up youll have 12 cores 24 threads. Reason being is that AM5, DDR5 is now released depressing the prices of the previous gen items i.e DDR4. As for the GPU you could go for a 3080 or something. Anyway if you want to chat about Im happy too 😊. Good topic on the product reviews! 👍

Hi. Please keep the limited product reviews coming. Although I watch you for the rides and the discussion, product reviews are important as I value your opinions. I haven't bought anything from a review you've done yet although I have from Stuart Fillingham's channel.

World is full of opinions normally from ignorant people who have never understood our generation of back to basics . Mend and make do! Is foreign as we dispose of perfectly good things for no reason bar the colour or does not have the latest generation update! (Sorry for the old guy rant!)

Hey TBW gotta say I see no point in giving negative personal comments on creators for reviews as they inform people of products that could be just what they need to their attention. I bought the Aoocci which I have not yet fitted and since have changed my bike which is by the by .It's up to the viewer to go and check out the product and make their own decision on whether it fulfils their needs and the price is right it more or less just a glimpse of what is available and what it does .Noubt wrong with that mate 😉👌👍

I love product reviews , but as l told you before Dave, l got blocked 🚫 from Stuart Fillinghams channel because l made a very well mannered comment about not liking the idea of replacing side casing on a RE with leather tool bags.
I wrote to Stuart who assured me he never blocked 🚫 me but the reality is, I'm Blocked from a channel l really like.
All l said was, it's quite difficult to clean the bike with fixed leather tool bags attached.
I perfer the plastic side casings with the Triumph decals, which are easy to clean and remove when changing air filter and maintenance.
