Watching this now is so surreal. Not often do you get to see the moment your favorite performer's career began. Laura seems like the sweetest, most down to earth person. I'm so glad she won because she truly deserves every role & opportunity she's gotten since. And also - it's really nice to see that even all these years later, she and Ashley are not only still friends, but GOOD friends. And who knows? This show may very well have been part of what eventually brought Ashley and Jeremy together! Hard to say. But either way, it's a wonderful thing to see how far these two ladies have come.
They say she's one of the nicest people. She is also highly respected in the Broadway community. She really deserves all of it. After watching this she worked her butt off. Love you Laura. She will win a Tony in the next couple of years.
Laura is so modest-when she says there were girls who were so much skinnier than her- seriously if Laura gets any skinnier we're going to able to blindfold her with dental floss!
OMG. I didn't watch the show, but watching this I just fell in love with her. ANd what a set of pipes! lol I still don't know if I'll go see the show (I HATE Grease), but I live in NYC so I just might if I have nothing else to see. lol
This is so crazy this was so long ago wow and now Ashley is married to weeny Jordan who was Clyde alongside Laura osnes! So funny they were both so good 😊
+ThatQu1rkyGirl16 "You're the One that I Want". It was a competition to see who would be the next leads in Grease.. Andrew Lloyd Webber actually created the shows and were shown on BBC. Samantha Barks, who played Eponine in the movie adaption of Les Mis (and in the London West End) was from one of the shows "I'd Do Anything" for the part of Nancy in Oliver!

But this one's cool because the Laura Osnes won and now she's actually one of the biggest Broadway stars.
Its sad to see Laura's mom here because she died from liver cancer 4 years later when Laura was performing in Bonnie and Clyde!
