For her first episode of The Princess Diary, Broadway.com's newest vlogger Laura Osnes brings fans behind the scenes as she transforms into the beloved fairy-tale princess, Cinderella (glass slippers and all!).

I love how she goes and shows the seamstresses the dress on and thanks them! I know every seamstress likes to see their finished work and get a thank you. Laura is a real life princess!

I thought it was so sweet all the dress makers taking your pic. They work so hard and never really get to hear from audiences and such but without them the stories wouldn't be as magical! So awesome!

I remember Laura Osnes when she was on the reality show Grease You're The One That I Want. She ended up being named as the winner of the competition........ she played the role of Sandy in the broadway show.

The glass slippers originated with Charles Perrault's retelling of the story-he had glass, and his version is the most common (later forming the basis of the Disney retelling). The story belonged to oral history, so different tellings had differences that evolved over the years-the German version as recorded by the Brothers Grimm has Aschenputtel (Cinderella) in slippers embroidered with silk and silver.

I would think so, however, in the show, the cabbage cape is never shown. Instead, Crazy Marie gives her a shawl instead of the cabbage cape. I wonder why they changed it.
P.S. I love the outfit Ella is wearing in The Pursuit! It's so pretty lol I also love "The Pursuit" scene. Very fun and exciting.

Madeleine I think there are multiple versions, not 100% sure, but I know with the dresses in the original there was a dress of gold, and the ball lasted three days, which they replicated in the musical with a ball (white gown) and banquet (gold gown).

I realize that the shoes probably aren't really glass, but I never understood why Cinderella had glass slippers. I would be too afraid that they would break while I was walking in them and my foot would get torn apart. Although I bet they would be really useful in a bar fight. (I bet the pair that Laura wears look spectacular on stage).

I have watched every one of these vlogs and have listened to the entire soundtrack but I can't seem to find the opening song of theses vlogs. I know :I can be whatever I want to be" is from In My Own Little Corner but what version is this. The la da da la la da da part doesn't sound familiar

+JustADreamer Or it's for In My Own Little Corner Reprise where its a mini duet between Topher and Ella (Psychic Singing) during a scene change. That part is not on the soundtrack.
