Guys, Ashley is wonderful too. For your information, she played Sandy after Laura left. They are both AMAZING Sandy's. They just have different visions on how to sing her part.
In the begining Laura and Ashley were the two I thought would go far and Laura was who I was hoping to win and this performance explains why, she is an excellent singer and gives me the chills when she gets those high notes. Congrats Laura.
This is an extremely difficult decision to make because both contestants are so equally matched. So it essentially comes down to which girl's personality fulfills the Sandy role better. For this reason and this particular part, I opt for the brunette girl. She seems to possess the more innocent, youthful vitality that this part truly calls for.
I just saw laura on broadway in south pacific. I'm so glad she got a jump start on her broadway career and she was really good as nellie, definitely proved she belongs on broadway.
Ashley is great in Priscialla! She signed my Hairspray playbill and we talked about how she worked with Lance Bass in Hairspray! Ashley is just so lucky! Love Ashley!!!
laura is a sweet heart! i met her at this beginnings workshop (( for acting )) where she went when she was younger and she taught one of my classes and she taught us all the choreography to We Go Together She is so fun, and she helped me shut the bathroom stall door cause she figured it out and i couldn't (( yes, i know, weird )) but laura and ashley are both absolutely incredable and either one could have won!!
I saw Ashley as Eponine in my hometown's professional production of Les Miserables. She's my favorite Eponine (aside from Lea Salonga) -- she was incredible!
lizzy tucker I saw an interview once in which Jeremy talked about how he met Ashley; it was through a mutual friend on facebook. Laura and Jeremy have known each other for quite a long time now, they were working on Bonnie and Clyde for years before it went to Broadway. What if Laura was that mutual friend?
Unfortunately she wasn't! But I think it's great that they're all friends www.playbill.com/article/a-fine-showmance-laura-osnes-and-nathan-johnson-talk-about-the-on-stage-kiss-that-changed-everything-and-broadway-double-dates-com-337966
Austin was in 42nd Street... and I was like OMG THAT'S HIM! But I love both.... I loved Laura and still do... but Laura is just as good... I just don't like what they did to the musical afterwards it was bad...

SuperBroadwayNerd I like them both!
Love Ashley
It is time for a male Sandy.
And now Ashley's married to Jeremy Jordan... who Laura kissed eight times a week in Bonnie and Clyde... not awkward at all...
They are really good friends though, Laura and Nathan with Jeremy and Ashley. I say it all worked out pretty well for everybody.
Actually, the day that the Bonnie and Clyde photo shoot happened, Nathan even said that "today is for the show" because he took the photos.
I JUST REALIZED THIS OMG!

Well, they are actors, it’s their jobs, it doesn’t mean they have a life outside of their jobs
The one in yellow. She's a big Broadway star now, she's playing Cinderella and was nominated for a Tony.
I dare someone to call those numbers. Also like 2020 anyone?!?

i think the best thing about this is that laura went on to star with Jeremy Jordan in bonnie and clyde, and now ashley and jeremy are married!
Laura just IS Sandy.

They sound so good together though!

i saw Hairspray last night and i also saw Grease a week ago..
both Ashley and Laura did amazing.
i loved it. XD
They sound just alike!
it's very hard for me to tell who's better.. they're both good!!
Laura Osnes is a freaking genius. Have you heard her in Anything Goes? Ashley just isn't quite right.
Yeah I love the song hopelessly devoted to you song sung by Olivia Newton John sandy
Ashley is so amazing
Laura definitly deserves to win.
No Ashley
They are both amazing!
nominated for two tonys 1 for cinderella as well as 1 for bonnie and clyde last season
Laura and Ashley know each other? I didn't know that!!
they knew eachother before Jeremy and Ashley knew eachother 😂

OddUndeniably haha i love that theory, I was thinking about that also :)

Laura sounds more like a classically trained singer but they are both great.
i think she is so pretty and i think she has a great voice
Ashley IS Sandy - awesome!
Song of John Farrar in Grease. Olivia broke my heart with this song. The version here is very nice. Maybe better than one in Grease Live 2016.
They’re both good and fit my idea of Sandy! It must have been hard for the judges to choose! Did they both play Sandy in the end?
Yes...they both played the role.
I think Laura's Ah-mazing!!!
I would like to see Ashley and Max
Are perfect for to be Danny and Sandy they will win
I think at the beginning of the song they were even but Ashley pulled it out at the end.
A little bit ironic that Ashley is the fiancee of Laura's current co-star. :)
Ashley is too breathy
Screw u hater
why I see it 13 years later?!
Not sure what you're asking
LAURA IS SO CUT
Isn't Ashley married to Jeremy Jordan
Yasmeen Genie yep
Laura so cut :3
the one on the right is definetly more sandy quality....i wished i would have watched the show!
Ashley the best 👍👏👏👏
When you realize Jeremy Jordan is Danny Zuko
@lolasoc131 In the broadway version its right after the dance.
@lolasoc131 this song isnt even in the play. it was written for the movie
doodles6112 yes it is
who is who? I like the brownhaired girl
Jane Willow I'm super late but the brunette is Laura Osnes while the blonde is Ashley Spencer.
@Dndoon Noon No problem! :)
NO-PPPARALLEL!
Laura is the stronger vocalist
Well.... Ashley had a good voice, BUT Laura had an AMAZING VOICE!!!
Nope Ashley all the way. I'm so disappointed in the people that didn't vote for her
isn't ashley sandy now with derek?
I love Laura tho
both r really good but i like ashley
Austin was in 42nd Street... and I was like OMG THAT'S HIM!
But I love both.... I loved Laura and still do... but Laura is just as good...
I just don't like what they did to the musical afterwards it was bad...
@sorano916 that is really ironic
Brunette Sandy's do it better :D
does anyone know what key they are singing in?
who won
because they dressed up for prom!
Who won?
Laura osnes
Blonde ones better.. But both are good
I thought it was Laura and Kate Rockwell
um in the movie sandy was wearing pj's so why are they wearing dresses.
I believe the placement of this song is different in the stage version. It happens after the dance.
laura is a better singer and actor than ashley. plus she has the better voice for sandy, and ashley doesnt
Her Tony nomination begs to differ. watch?v=N1TL0BV28lY
the 2nd girl was better...she hit all the right notes
You need to be more specific
Laura had a better voice
Laura lo hace fatal.
I don't like the voice of the blonde girl.......the other one is much better !!!!!
Her name is Ashley and she's way better than Laura
Laura didn't look like Sandy. And she refused to lighten her hair. Ashley was much better!
+Rose B. The original Sandy was brunette.
+Claire Pappas True. But most people associate Sandy with Olivia Newton John in the film production of Grease.
+Seashore Girl OMG! Who's the original? I was searching about her, but nothing...
+Samantha VF Carole Demas was the first Sandy in the original Broadway production.
+Claire Pappas Really, really thank you Claire. 😉😉
All these aspiring broadway hopefuls sound the same - with that mechanical american accent and vibrato that makes every song no different and boring.
I would like to see Ashley and Max
Are perfect for to be Danny and Sandy they will win
