Thank you guys for another look into the beauty and history of Britain, always enjoy your presentations. The behind the scenes work put into them is appreciated, the background music so carefully chosen. Thank you very much.
Hello my husband discovered you 2 weeks ago 😄 we are watching lots of your FANTASTIC VIDEOS . I have to say that they are so informative, interesting and you showing us as viewers spectacular places 😃 we are history buffs so we love it ,the cinematography is very good not to fast not to slow - perfect you can loose yourself in your all videos and for us this is the real treat as well , you can capture the moment and see the places so vividly , and very good music so it’s very relaxing . We just wondering are you a history buffs as well ? Kind regards from Cheshire 😄
Hello, thank you for the lovely comment and compliment. We do indeed enjoy our history particularly like the Victorian era. We always used to get frustrated watching youtube videos and not being told what we were looking at or some of its history. We have fun trying to research and find out what we can to share as we go along in our videos. Welcome to the channel!
Thank you we are appreciate a lots , agree with your commitment , we love Yorkshire as well my husband is from Yorkshire ;) but all videos really great , you doing an amazing job !!!!!! 😃
I adore flowers. My answer is, both types of gardens. I love history. The dukedom of Devonshire is especially interesting to me. I hope to go here onw day. Thank you for another wonderful video.
Hi only came across your channel today by chance and glad that I did, expertly researched and wonderfully presented video, weldon &thank you, more please :-)
Your videos are better quality than what we get on the telly. Relaxing and educational, and a beautiful place to visit. Wish I could work in one of these. Imagine having your lunch in one of those gardens. An unfortunate reminder of wealth inequality but still nice to indulge in the escapism that’s comes with viewing these gorgeous homes.
I don't feel all that serious about wealth inequality, it's all around us and we are part of it. So long as we are doing what we can to help the less fortunate, that is all anyone can do. I would just be enjoying the lovely surroundings which it would be a privilege to be able to visit. I have a list of grand homes to visit...
Chatsworth is a truly magnificent estate . I think that a person would need more than one day to really see the place . The gardens alone would take a good day to enjoy to the fullest . I would want to have the time to enjoy looking at the house the furnishings and the art also . The Devonshire's have put a lot of effort into preserving Chatsworth and it looks to be successful .
I agree that more than one day is needed. I don’t think I’d like to rush through the gardens and outdoors or the estate and the tour of the inside of the house. This is my dream destination and I’m determined to enjoy it in a leisurely fashion.
@@judyblackman1215 No, for sure. I'm just sad that the magnificent old buildings we had in Perth were demolished and glass high rises were put in their place. What short history we did have is gone.
Chatsworth House was my most favorite place, but now it's even more my favorite place! I love, love, love ❤ 😍 ❤ this beautiful house and gorgeous gardens! 🥰🥰🥰
You tell us about your travels with such sincerity and enthusiasm that it is impossible not to subscribe to your channel. Thank you! We are waiting for your wonderful videos!
Natural and wild gardens for me. I have been watching because I have an interest in historic buildings and architecture, but the gardens today revealed to me what beautiful photography you take.
Having been twice in the last few weeks, A weekend for the bonfire and fireworks and then this weekend for Chatsworth at Christmas. The house was truly splendid with the theme 20 years of Christmas displays at the house. A fantastic variety of shops to buy that extra special Christmas presents. Looking forward to further visits in the spring 💐
P.S. I have to admit I love the formal gardens and long sweeping lawns with strategically placed trees, 'faux' rivers, and ornate greenhouses. Such things are rare as they require so much land, that most of us will never own. A pretty jumble of bright colors is a joy as well, but within our reach.
My hobby is seeing and hearing about palaces and castles of England,Scotland and France. Also the people who lived in them. Thankyou for your tours, they are wonderful to watch. Technology has its advantages. I'll never see them in person!
Thank you for this video which was a gentle walk down Memory Lane for me. My first school trip at the age of 7 and then a few more visits as an adult, I hope to go back again so thank you for re igniting my interest in a beautiful place.
Beautiful just doesn’t describe this piece of history. I admire the family that works so hard to keep it going and keeping it open to the public. History is important to preserve. Thank you for another amazing piece of history. Are there places preserved of how the little people lived? Would enjoy seeing. Hope you have a blessed week.
Loved your Bakewell and Chatsworth videos. You were very lucky with the weather. Hope you get the opportunity to visit Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall at some point.
We can see the Hunting Tower, above Chatsworth House from our dining room window. Was lucky enough to have a behind the scenes tour of the house some years ago. It was wonderful standing on the roof of the house, looking out over the Parkland, one glorious Autumn evening.
@@MemorySeekers It was an amazing tour, definitely will never forget seeing a totally different side to Chatsworth House. My Grandfather worked on the Estate as a young man and I was lucky enough to meet the former Duchess of Devonshire on a couple of occasions, what a lovely lady.
I think are referring to Lyme? The BBC adaptation in 1995. We hope to visit that one day, we planned to do it the same weekend as Chatsworth but ran out of time.
Just to walk in a place of such beauty... not to mention the history and the people and their lives that walked before us, leaves me in awe and speechless ‼️thank you so much for sharing this with us! You and your channel is absolutely amazing 💕💕🙏🙏truly appreciate what you do for us viewers ❤️stay safe and healthy.
I adored Chatsworth when I was on my Jane Austen trip. I love that it is such a popular place for families to spend the day in the grounds and play in the fountain. Looks like you had a perfect day to be there! One of those places I hope to go back to some day. Thank you for your great camera work, with the slow movements etc. so nice to see it all as if we were there, no motion sickness from quick camera movements! 😁
Ah thank you I think we have learned to slow things down and not try anything to fancy. Some of our earlier videos were a bit quick in places. Nice to hear it’s being noticed. Thank you all
@MemorySeekers It takes great skill and attention to detail, the lovely manner in which you allow us to see through your eyes. The beautiful camerawork is doubly enhanced by your wonderfully pleasant, calm narration. Somehow, 'accompanying' you on your tours manages to avoid feeling virtual. I don’t know how you do it, but your videos are borderline medicinal! Just as one can so often feel a photographer’s emotions towards a human subject the instant one looks at a photograph, the love and appreciation of each of the subjects of your videos comes through so tangibly. On behalf of those of us who have not been able to travel due to Covid, thank you so, so much for allowing us to accompany you to these gorgeous places, see through your eyes, and end up feeling renewed and refreshed as a result.
Caroline thank you so much for this lovely comment. It really means a lot to us. We do try hard to make good quality videos and so pleased that has come across to you. Really keeps us going making more videos to share and inspire to visit or learn more about the history. Made our day 😊 best regards.
Oh my what a place. Would love to be lost in those gardens, they are gorgeous. The manor is totally gorgeous. Such a rediculous amount of money spent there. I imagine in times gone by winter would have been unpleasant, such droughts going thru. Stunning video thanks so much. Please stay safe and take care
I really loved this video. You have the perfect mix of narration, music, and silence (to hear the sounds of trickling water in the gardens). Please do more garden tours. I also liked seeing the crowds. Sometimes village tours can seem a little eerie when no one else is around. A truly wonderful video.
Oh, thank you! It is snowy and grey here today, so It was a real treat to virtually wander around those lush gardens. For the record, I like both wild/natural gardens and formal gardens, so to have a balance of both is perfect.
I love your vlogs. They are interesting, with great views and good facts and tips. I have watched many and I find yours to be some of the best. Now I am so anxious to cross the pond again.
Great video but with a few notable ommisions. As you drive through Chatsworth the grounds are frequented by herds of deer. There are various properties owned by Chatsworth estates than you can stay in as holiday let's, the most impressive being the hunting tower which stands above Chatsworth house and is reached by a private road. There are lots of public footpaths that you can walk free of charge, we often park in Baslow and walk into the grounds from there. The house and gardens can be viewed most of the year there is a caravan site in the grounds next to Chatsworth cricket pitch. I have been Al times of the year but I think my favourite is in winter between the deer ruts and snow falls. Its my favourite place and I'm very lucky to live quite near. I will gladly answer anyone's questions about Chatsworth and Bakewell. Hardwick Hall and Haddon Hall both nearby are also a must see. You could spend a very good holiday anytime of the year in the Peak District.
You've done it again! Another fantastic video. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous. I love the color throughout the grounds with the mix of manicured & wild flowers. The home is beautiful & lavishly decorated. Thanks guys! I love y'all!
We were there in February 2020. Stopover from Wales to the ferry in Hull. Unfortunately, the gardens and the building were in hibernation. Now I see what we missed.
What a fantastic house. I never tire of seeing it (in video footage lol) Next time I am in the UK, I really must go see it! One rather gets the impression that the many sculptures and paintings from the Grand Tour collections was that century's way of doing slides or snapshots from their vacations. Their desire to impress and outdo leaves one rather agog! Who could keep up with those Joneses!
This house & gardens are just lovely. It’s on my to do list when I visit next year. Such beautiful history where you are… I can not wait. I can’t believe that people actually lived here. It’s so extremely large. Thank you so much for this guided tour.✨

I truly enjoyed this video. My sister-in-law and I viewed Chatsworth in fall 1999 when none of the fountains were working and we toured only the house but wow! So impressive! Thank you for the all the various gardens and greenhouse views which we were unable to see ourselves!
So pleased you liked our tour. Nice to know you have seen it first hand. Amazing estate to visit.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for the video. I saw a lot of new "stuff" outside that wasn't there in the 70's.
Wow! Stunning! Thank you! Awesome narration as usual. Well done!
Thank you kindly!

So kind thank you!
My new favorite channel. I miss traveling to England so much because of Covid. This helps plan for the future. I think I preferred the more wild gardens.
Ah thank you that is so nice to know. I hope it does give you some good ideas for future trips here. Happy Christmas 🎄
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I can't believe I'll be finally visiting the house in April!
