Love the vintage inspired design. I believe that the blue are painted, hence they are not thermally blued. I would prefer to have a see-through-caseback, but in this case solid caseback is also nicely done. The acrylic crystal is also vintage cool, but it will easily scratch :(.
Ha, you are the second person to stop the second hand, and you stopped in almost the same spot as a previous video on this watch. Why?. Would like to see if this gets sluggish heading towards the 12 mark as the knock-offs I heard and have seen become sluggish around the 40-45 second mark.
I've received mine today too, very quick delivery thanks to Julian. The watch is amazing, I see you are not very enthusiastic :) I think it is finished to pretty high standards, the size is perfect and the thickness is quite moderate for a chronograph and it feels even thinner because at least 3 millimetres are occupied by the crystal itself. The watch is such a beauty, the dial is amazing and the hands are gleaming blue (not sure if they are heat blued though). The box is well made and it is much much nicer than almost all Seiko boxes of watches many times more expensive. Overall it is an amazing and special watch, I appreciate the design which is unapologetically chinese and is not a copy or replica of a foreign brand's model. I am happy I could buy this Seagull at that poljot24 bargain price compared to the official 1140 USD official mark.
why are people taking a special interest in these watches? I am trying to understand because there is one on auction i found. the numbers have fallen loose off the dial, but that looks like it could be fixed easily. I am not sure that your statement about the limited number of these watches is totally true, or maybe it is from sea-gull, but my understanding ."is there are many companies designing this watch. inclluding both "seagull" and "sea-gull" Very confusing. I think people have decided the asthetic is nice and the movement is ok especially for the price. I know i will buy it on auction and find out no watch repair guy will dare meath with it, and i will be stuck trying to figure out how to open it up without scratching it. anyway, why has this watch garnered some interest, is there something special about it? is it worth grabbing one on the cheap, if it needs a little work?
I never was keen to plain 1963 dial and the other designs didnt appeal to me. But this one, its most lovely from them all.
