An old watch with "2nd Moscow Watch Factory" stamped on the movement plate, dated 1937. An intriguing find, maybe genuine.

The Bulova Accutron Tuning Fork watch
That strap is gorgeous! Can I ask what the lug width is? My dad has the steel one.
The reason those cases of the 1530 had automatic movements is because they were produced 3 years before the quartz movement was ready for production. They produced around 1500 examples of the 1530 and 1630 over 1976-1978 before the oysterquartz was released in 1978. This makes those coveted 1530s and 1630s one of the rarest models that Rolex produced after 1945. I own a 1630 and in pursuit of 1530. Please let me know if you want to sell yours.
👍👍👍👍👍❤️
The notch is because the 6000 has a 6139A movt as opposed to the 6139B of later models . The A and B movts are different thicknesses . A 6139B doesn't fit in a notched case
Thanks for this insight.
Please don't molest that watch Lester. Jk jk, just couldn't help myself.
I have a Bulova Accutron watch 1960s don't know what to do with it.
Thank you! Now I know how it works
Please reach out should you ever consider….1530;)
Very few George Graham watches are in their original cases, this one has been re-cased in the second half of the 18th century. The was probably in a solid gold case originally. Still it’s been nicely done
Its the Same shit closing Like the Joseph Bonnie Bonklip. Only Forstner Bonklip has a Secure closing
Wow
I never was keen to plain 1963 dial and the other designs didnt appeal to me. But this one, its most lovely from them all.
Beautiful linen dial, why isn't it running?
I probably forgot to give it a starting wind. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for a detailed look at what seems to be a terrible design.
why are people taking a special interest in these watches? I am trying to understand because there is one on auction i found. the numbers have fallen loose off the dial, but that looks like it could be fixed easily. I am not sure that your statement about the limited number of these watches is totally true, or maybe it is from sea-gull, but my understanding ."is there are many companies designing this watch. inclluding both "seagull" and "sea-gull" Very confusing. I think people have decided the asthetic is nice and the movement is ok especially for the price. I know i will buy it on auction and find out no watch repair guy will dare meath with it, and i will be stuck trying to figure out how to open it up without scratching it. anyway, why has this watch garnered some interest, is there something special about it? is it worth grabbing one on the cheap, if it needs a little work?
I HAVE A WATCH MADE IN PARIS C, 1700 WORKS FOR 6 MINS, THEN STOPS. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOUR WATCHMAKER HAVE A LOOK AT IT, ITS MOST LIKELY A BENT PIVOT. I DO SO ENJOY VIDIOS LIKE YOURS . THANK`S. ARTHUR .
I have two identical Bonnie Bonklips, and the clasp can indeed release if lifted to a perpendicular angle. However, I only learned of this after a year of worry-free use through other user's reports. It can only happen if you are wearing your watch pimp-style dangling, and I never experienced the band open accidentally.
Could you share the contanct of your watchmaker?
Never seen a black ring around the subdial
I am generally a big fan of vintage watches, I own approx 40. But honestly, where is a reason why those Bonklips aren’t popular anymore.
oh ...finally
is the other way around :))
Thanks for the video. I just bought a Clewco Bonklip bracelet on Ebay for £10 to fit to one of my trench watches.
Thank you for posting. I have an old Krementz Self-Adjustable Watch Band from the USA from my father from the 1950's and a new Fostner Klip. Both are shorter as they each only fold back once with a single klip. The Forstner has two spring locks on each side of the klip for extra security. But even the Krementz with its simple klip over the link remained secure even after falling numerous times while trying to learn to water ski.
I lost a good watch whilst water skiing. I quickly learnt to wear only watches with secure straps whilst water skiing.
That 1530 is something special.
Sir phone number, and price please,
You speak Russian very nice and very good speak in English😁 - are you Russian ? 😁
I’m English, but yes I did learn Russian many years ago.
You speak russian very well, I know, I'm russian 😊
I have one of these, given to me by the late Carl Duerr, one time CEO at Angelus, in 1968. Sadly it is completely rusted inside and needs a complete remake. Any link to someone who could take this on?
I really like this watch and i want to buy it.so please tell me how much is this watch ?
I don’t have this watch any more, sorry. About $4,000.
This is very different to a Bonclip
A very interesting review, I noticed the bezel and surround is flat compared with the more modern versions where it seems recessed ? from outside to the watch face. I bought my Navitimer in 1966, similar in design to yours but with silver sub dials, the two aircraft logo design and only the 12 marked on the dial the remaining just marked with a bar. This watch has been my only watch and I have worn it is some totally unsuitable working situations without any issues, it has been serviced as and when required. I did not purchase it with an eye on future value but I feel I have had my value for the £30 I paid for it.
I've just bought that exact up/down. $100+. BARGAIN. "Probably just needs a battery"...yeah, like I just need Lucky 13 on roulette. We'll see...I'll risk it.
Hamilton won the race against the Heuer! If you're going to include 3 watches you have to include the Fontainebleau!
Hamilton were in the same project team as Heuer. In fact, the Hamilton name is only there indirectly because they bought Buren, who were the company chosen by Heuer to supply the micro-rotor movements. The Fontainebleau does have a unique look, it’s true, among the many Chronomatic designs.
@@LesterLovesWatches One could argue that Hamilton, Breitling and Heuer came first as they distributed their watches to stores before Zenith & Seiko did despite their earlier announcements. Heuer had distribution issues and Hamilton got their chronos first out the door. It was close with Breitlings timeframe and whilst I cannot pinpoint who won the race, they all have their part to play in the history of the first chrono.
Hamilton won the race against Heuer?? What are you talking about? They were in the same research team, and as said before Hamilton virtually got a piggy back ride on this great adventure when they bought Buren. Heuer and Breitling were the Daddies of the team here.
@@Pulsonar the daddies?? What are you talking about? Have you even heard of Dubois-Depraz? If you want to talk about piggybacking look up how long Heuer & Breitling used them to do their chronograph research and development before they partnered with the Buren Group when the concept was finalised for them.
Lovely review mate I have this one coming today!
Ha, you are the second person to stop the second hand, and you stopped in almost the same spot as a previous video on this watch. Why?. Would like to see if this gets sluggish heading towards the 12 mark as the knock-offs I heard and have seen become sluggish around the 40-45 second mark.
Hello, great review! BTW, what is the original waterproof of the watch?
Good question. I actually don’t know. My guess would be “don’t swim with it” because of the pushers.
@@LesterLovesWatches OK, thank you
Lj is how a specific Russian Cyrilic letter is represented using our alphabet. It is considered the same as a single letter in Croatian and Serbian. It is not a transcription error. It makes the sound you say, though.
The Russian л is transcribed as l in English, not Lj. Are you talking about another East European language perhaps? The j in the received transliteration of Poljot that I was talking about comes from a German way of transliterating the ё as ‘jo’, which to English eyes and ears seems like the sound jo as in job. It has nothing to do with the Lj in words such as Ljubljana.
@@LesterLovesWatches Who said they transcribed it primarily for the English speakers when there were more non-English speakers who were likely consumers? Such arrogance! I am saying it was not a transcription error because there are many languages that use lj for the Cyrilc equivalent. If you are correct, then they would have spelled it Polot - so you are wrong. Period.
wow!
Big gap between the strap and the body, canine lugs ...ugly
You get a double bonklip😉
They seem to be holding in price well, I just purchased one on the "secondary market".
Good to know. It’s certainly a modern classic.
…While these ‘Engine room’ brands were pushing the state of the art in auto chrono watchmaking, Omega put their trusty old windup Speedmaster onto the moon, and Rolex didn’t even know what to calll their chrono, and what to do with it, until they got a lucky break in auto racing and timely (pardon the pun) Hollywood endorsement.
That 1530 you have is immaculate. Absolutely mint. I wonder why Rolex didn't differentiate the size of the 1530 and 1630. Both have the oystrrquartz case in 36mm. So would the only thing setting them apart be the movement inside?
I've noticed cheap mechanical watch movements, if they don't die, tend to improve with age. I wonder what's the rate on your watch today. Good video. Thanks.
That's a big watch for a little braclet lol. Put it on a time period accurate watch like an a11 or a17 and see how secure it feels.
This was a video about how to fit the bracelet and about its drawbacks, which would both be the same, irrespective of which watch you wore it with. But thanks for the feedback.
Try the forstner klip much more secured I use it on a Zodiac SeaWolf 53 skin diver
Also forstners komfit military very secured and comfortable
sea-gull 1962 or 63 ?

@@LesterLovesWatches lucky man , is really a fantastic rare watch ! 😇
I have a 1530 whats a ball park figure for its value?
I usually look on Chrono and then take off 20%. But these are so rare that if you find a buyer who desperately wants one you can name your price. I would say for a freshly serviced good condition one today, about 10-11K.
@@LesterLovesWatches just to say I got £9500.
@@LesterLovesWatches 10 000€?? For 10 000 I buy one right away :)
It was nice to hear the backstory to the purchase of this watch. I’d like to think it’s genuine. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching. Yes, all genuine. The shop is on the Nikoloz Baratashvili Left Bank.
Sorry, I didn’t make myself clear - I meant I’d like to think the watch is genuine - I wasn’t referring to the story! I’ve seen a number of your videos now - very interesting. You deserve more subscribers. You have some nice watches, will you be doing a State of the Collection anytime?
Mine runs around +30 sec fast/day. No complaints tho. Still ok for a cheap mechanical watch.
Love the vintage inspired design. I believe that the blue are painted, hence they are not thermally blued. I would prefer to have a see-through-caseback, but in this case solid caseback is also nicely done. The acrylic crystal is also vintage cool, but it will easily scratch :(.
