The notch is because the 6000 has a 6139A movt as opposed to the 6139B of later models . The A and B movts are different thicknesses . A 6139B doesn't fit in a notched case
Hi Lester, I have a April 1970 041919 alas not in as good a condition as yours, but good for a 50 year old watch. Can you recommend a person to give it a full service? Regards Franco
