Lewis has made a bold choice, one that demonstrates a wish to keep racing, keep developing and pushing himself to the limit. Beyond racing it is also a chance to embed the dream of greater diversity in the sport with the brand that is most associated with F1. If anyone can move team, get competetive quickly and give the chamoionship a run for the money it is Lewis. I would also add - having the experience of both Lewis and Charles as Ferrari develop the 2026 car is very very useful, I hope and wish that Lewis gets number 8 - he is already up there with Schumacher, Senna and Fangio as one of the greatest drivers ever seen in the sport - more than that - the way he has matured, the way he has carried the mantle of being one of the 'greats' speaks to his class and his wider engagement with the world. Should he win in 2025 or 2026 - it would be truly deserved. Best of luck Sir Lewis.

Let Lewis win his 8th in a Ferrari in an heroic manner, and then retire unexpectedly like Nico after his mission in f1 is complete. Saying this is a Max fan but just would love the story. Thats whats f1 about
Lewis needs a dominant car to shine, and he's proven that over the years. When he doesn’t have the fastest car, his overtaking skills don’t really stand out. Most of his championships came with the quickest car, often with a 30-50bhp advantage-just like Max with the RB19 in 2023, where no one could touch him. The only title Lewis won without the best car was in 2008, against a relatively weak rival in Massa (and even that season wasn’t without controversy). Let’s be honest, he’s been exposed a bit by Russell, and most of his teammates have run him close-apart from Kovalainen. The British media loves hyping up their own, but I don’t see Lewis as one of the GOATs. He had huge luck in switching teams! Perhaps he is lucky again!
I highly doubt it, Lewis is on a downward trajectory and he's just ticking off his bucket list of driving for Ferrari and also making a nice big contract to retire on.
100% True, the same fate will happen to Max in 10 years and any other driver. Watch F1 no modern era f1 driver has won in his 40's and the physical and mental strain only increase every year.
If the car characteristics suit him then i have fate he can win the 8th. But even bringing a good fight to max and Charles is admirable enough imo which i feel people forget exactly how old Hamilton is and how really good his competition is. For Hamilton to win he has to beat Max whos already a top 10 greatest driver to enter this sport (minimum) and Charles who prob won of the fastest drivers we have seen in the 21st century on 1 lap pace and still is improving his race management. Im Hamilton fan so i 100% back him to reclaim his 8th championship

I am a bit doubtful that he can. He's going to be Leclerc's biggest enemy and we know how fast Leclerc is. My bet is that Leclerc's age and hunger + experience at Ferrari is going to be 0.1s difference at qualy and race is going to be similar to Sainz's. Probably a bit like Rosberg and Schumi were at Mercedes. But let's see. It's going to be a mega year that's for sure.

Martin is class, the presenter not so. He's literally writing off someone who dragged a not so decent car to two wins last year. And has 105 wins over 100 poles and 7 world titles, which could've been 10 with luck.
It is too much to ask for. Its a new team he needs time to adjust and Leclerc is not Bottas or Perez…. So if they have a championship car next year, my bet would be on Leclerc. For 2026 season all bets are off as Hamilton would be properly integrated to the team.
Purely depends on the car. LH can be a major plus in the development of this years car. Newey no longer at RB too. Potentially a very competitive season.
The amount of disrespect Charles gets is getting annoying. He had the most points in the second half of the season among all drivers including Max and Lando. Most consistent as well. If he didn't start from 19 by taking a new engine in Abu Dhabi he could have beat Lando for second place. Also, if it weren't for those couple of races after Barcelona, he could have very well been close to winning it all. There will be immense pressure in 2025 but we all know how good Charles is in quali and I believe he will beat Lewis. It will be close all year but my money is on CL all the way.
Well you want the 'if ' game, if Lando did not crush with Max in Austria, if Lando didn't get screwed up by the strategy in Canada and Silverstone, if McLaren gave Lando priority in Hungary and Monza, if Lando didn't get screwed by the yellow flag in Baku, if the pitwall let Lando know there were yellows in Qatar, if Max didn't play dirty on Lando in Mexico and Austin. Lando was fighting Max while Charles was fighting no one!
I believe Charles has youth on his side but if Charles wants respect against Lewis’s career he needs bare minimum a title. Forget our performing him for a year or two if Charles is serious he needs titles.
There’s something that feels so right about this move, can’t put my finger on it, but Lewis seems to have a sixth sense in his judgment I hope I’m right !

Perhaps he is lucky again!
imagine all of this and then ferrari do a 2020
"He's stopped crashing a little bit" 😂
I highly doubt it, Lewis is on a downward trajectory and he's just ticking off his bucket list of driving for Ferrari and also making a nice big contract to retire on.
That is an ignorant and uninformed opinion. Full stop. Study F1 mate.
100% True, the same fate will happen to Max in 10 years and any other driver. Watch F1 no modern era f1 driver has won in his 40's and the physical and mental strain only increase every year.
And you'll forgetting who's in the other Ferrari 😐
Well its really up to ferrari providing a championship ready car
Lewis should call Felipe Massa after he drove the Ferrari yesterday
Why?
@@IsSaltytook his car as well😂
😬
If the car characteristics suit him then i have fate he can win the 8th. But even bringing a good fight to max and Charles is admirable enough imo which i feel people forget exactly how old Hamilton is and how really good his competition is. For Hamilton to win he has to beat Max whos already a top 10 greatest driver to enter this sport (minimum) and Charles who prob won of the fastest drivers we have seen in the 21st century on 1 lap pace and still is improving his race management. Im Hamilton fan so i 100% back him to reclaim his 8th championship
No driver 40 or over has even won a race since Mansell in 1994, 31 years ago and before that was Brabham in 1970, 55 years ago! Twice in 55 years!
No chance of the championship, but I think he could get a race win
He's done like what, 40 laps?. And you are yet talking about winning the WC. God sake.
I hope we see fine performances from the rookies over the course of the season as they feel their way in and get accustomed to Formula 1.

Can Ferrari deliver a single race weekend without a cockup?
Martin Brundle is the gold standard in F1 commentary. Sadly, even the second best is far away, let alone the screaming liver commentators... :(
The man looks business in red.glad too see him with ferrari.this could be a good season.
Martin is such a class act and an absolute legend in the F1 world!
I hope sir lewis hamilton and ferrari do well
If I could go out to dinner with any person in the world it would be Martin Brundle.
It’s gonna be a huge ask for Hamilton but even a bunch of wins in red will be fantastic to see.
I will take the wins hey .
Now I'll watch F1 again. Was hoping to see Lewis in a Ferrari. What an amazing way to sign off!
Can't wait to see our champion reminding the sport why he is THE GOAT, THE F1 LEGEND. SLH WE STAND BY YOU ALWAYS!
Outpaced by his teammate for the past 2 years. Great move by Ferrari 😂😂😂
Yes I believe he could

Absolutely, without contestation. No chance.
They are coming for you!🙈
Martin is class, the presenter not so.
Nice little conversation, Martin is a dude. Can't wait for March!
Charles is truly great, but Lewis is the greatest. It's going to be a good season.
I believe Charles has youth on his side but if Charles wants respect against Lewis’s career he needs bare minimum a title. Forget our performing him for a year or two if Charles is serious he needs titles.
What i dont understand is changing an engine in Abu Dhabi?
The last race on the calendar 😂
Whos disrespecting LeClerc? where and when?
Of course the eyes are on LH, its as big if not bigger than when Lauda and Mansell went to Ferrari.
There’s something that feels so right about this move, can’t put my finger on it, but Lewis seems to have a sixth sense in his judgment I hope I’m right !
Congrats on the OBE. I hadn't heard ;)
Lando has got a great chance this year.
Pls stop with this fckn "godfather" thing. Its a tribute to the elegance of Mr. Enzo Ferrari. Without him none of this would've been significant
Without Lancia, Fiat, Maserati, there would have been no Enzo?
Lewis was actually harking back to Schumacher and Todt.
And the Italians loved it! Thats what counts in Italy getting behind the nation, If you dont hit the mark, then that's the time to look, out, same as the international football team.
@alimantado373 i don't get the schumacher&todt reference. Anyway my point was about this stupid, boring and tiring relationship to the mafia for anything that has to do with italy and italians, like this host of sky and the Telegraph did. After a while it's enough, for god's sake
@@erb3bnas if other cultures arent stereotyped lol. Its not even as if people talk bad about it, unlike some other cultures. You guys get called badass mafia bosses when us indians here are always called poor, dirty and stinky (when thats really not the case).
Lewis joining is really the big thing LIKE IT OR NOT !!!
I want the drivers to swear and get angry, I want them to have personalities and not all being boring robots.
MBS is not a nice person
@@kwameofori8947 Who?
Fantastic champion but do we really think he’ll beat LeClerc? He knows the team, knows the language, is probably the fastest over a single lap in F1.
All I know is it’s going to be great to watch!
Lewis is ready to win a championship with Ferrari, hoping it’s in 2025 👌🏎️🇮🇹
Martin is correct, driving in the Ferrari won’t phase him.
Let’s not forget Lewis’s first season, if the Ferrari is as good it was towards the end of last season then Ferrari have a big shout at the constructors championship!!
he really didn’t understand betting odds
No Martin don't give any examples, you'll get a fine 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't think Ferrari can beat Red Bull. He can beat Verstappen with a good car but Ferrari has a history of messing things up just after creating something good
Definitely possible in a Ferrari but will have tough competition from his team mate Leclerc, Norris and Verstappen
I’m sure the language thing won’t matter. Ferraris last champion barely spoke, in any language and still got the job done 😂
