      Its really just quali that is his big issue. His kinda at that stage similar to vettel (not performance level obviously) during late 2018 - 2020. I feel as their age, if the car isnt to their liking they find it harder to get the maximum out of it and loss confidence. But if the car is to Hamilton preference i can defo see him beating Lando without doubt. and beating Charles (not by a lot Rosberg 2014 type levels prob less). Can 100% have a good fight and hopefully geting the better of Max :)

    • @endlessmotion2255
      @endlessmotion2255 4 часа назад +9

      @M_A_S_K_Ofc True qualifying seems to be his issue but unlike Vettel he hasn't just been simply slow. You can see with his onboards that he found the Mercedes rear snapping on him in high speed corners and was always driving on edge waiting for it to go. It might just be a driving style thing and he doesn't suit these regs and era of cars but we'll find out soon enough for sure. If he's happier with the Ferrari chassis on Saturdays then he'll be in the mix. He's still got championship winning race pace on Sundays

If he struggles and Charles is in the position to win. Helping Charles will also ve suitable for this moment of career. I hope he enjoys his time in his dream Ferrari. Lewis has made a bold choice, one that demonstrates a wish to keep racing, keep developing and pushing himself to the limit. Beyond racing it is also a chance to embed the dream of greater diversity in the sport with the brand that is most associated with F1. If anyone can move team, get competetive quickly and give the chamoionship a run for the money it is Lewis. I would also add - having the experience of both Lewis and Charles as Ferrari develop the 2026 car is very very useful, I hope and wish that Lewis gets number 8 - he is already up there with Schumacher, Senna and Fangio as one of the greatest drivers ever seen in the sport - more than that - the way he has matured, the way he has carried the mantle of being one of the 'greats' speaks to his class and his wider engagement with the world. Should he win in 2025 or 2026 - it would be truly deserved. Best of luck Sir Lewis.

    'Team LH' (that includes the majority of the pundits at Sky Sports F1) are in a total state of denial that his age is catching up with him. He's not as fast as he used to be (lost to Russell the past two seasons) and he's making more mistakes now than he ever has in the past. Father time remains undefeated, and no, you can't draw a straight line between Lewis and Alonso - every athlete ages differently and it's clear Lewis is in decline if you're watching F1 objectively, instead of watching the sport like a cheerleader.

    Never listen to the masses. They tend to follow the herd and have no opinions of their own. Alonso drove well in 23 as well as Lewis which shows when they have a consistent car. He beat George that same year as well so idk what that commentator is on about lol anyways he’ll be competitive without a doubt.

    Lewis needs a dominant car to shine, and he's proven that over the years. When he doesn’t have the fastest car, his overtaking skills don’t really stand out. Most of his championships came with the quickest car, often with a 30-50bhp advantage-just like Max with the RB19 in 2023, where no one could touch him. The only title Lewis won without the best car was in 2008, against a relatively weak rival in Massa (and even that season wasn’t without controversy). Let’s be honest, he’s been exposed a bit by Russell, and most of his teammates have run him close-apart from Kovalainen. The British media loves hyping up their own, but I don’t see Lewis as one of the GOATs. He had huge luck in switching teams! Perhaps he is lucky again!

    If the car characteristics suit him then i have fate he can win the 8th. But even bringing a good fight to max and Charles is admirable enough imo which i feel people forget exactly how old Hamilton is and how really good his competition is. For Hamilton to win he has to beat Max whos already a top 10 greatest driver to enter this sport (minimum) and Charles who prob won of the fastest drivers we have seen in the 21st century on 1 lap pace and still is improving his race management. Im Hamilton fan so i 100% back him to reclaim his 8th championship

    I am a bit doubtful that he can. He's going to be Leclerc's biggest enemy and we know how fast Leclerc is. My bet is that Leclerc's age and hunger + experience at Ferrari is going to be 0.1s difference at qualy and race is going to be similar to Sainz's. Probably a bit like Rosberg and Schumi were at Mercedes. But let's see. It's going to be a mega year that's for sure.

    The amount of disrespect Charles gets is getting annoying. He had the most points in the second half of the season among all drivers including Max and Lando. Most consistent as well. If he didn't start from 19 by taking a new engine in Abu Dhabi he could have beat Lando for second place. Also, if it weren't for those couple of races after Barcelona, he could have very well been close to winning it all. There will be immense pressure in 2025 but we all know how good Charles is in quali and I believe he will beat Lewis. It will be close all year but my money is on CL all the way.

    • @Zhuuri

      Well you want the 'if ' game, if Lando did not crush with Max in Austria, if Lando didn't get screwed up by the strategy in Canada and Silverstone, if McLaren gave Lando priority in Hungary and Monza, if Lando didn't get screwed by the yellow flag in Baku, if the pitwall let Lando know there were yellows in Qatar, if Max didn't play dirty on Lando in Mexico and Austin.
      Lando was fighting Max while Charles was fighting no one!
