@AQUAHOLIC I wish we kept it but didn't make sense in Windsor. Dad got us back in a mirage though so all good! I still might need a sprint or targa that kid is still in me
LOVE IT!!! More boats like this. These are the boats average people could get if they really want to. It would make a good retirement boat. Once these sirens of the sea get old enough you don't have to be a millionaire to own one. The yacht makers should like it as well. A healthy used market helps sell the new ones since the owners know their is a market to sell them later.
I saw the thumbnail 3 or 4 times on my homepage, thinking do I really want to see a '92 boat. Glad I did, this is just about perfect. If only I lived in the UK, and had the spare cash around.
There’s a lot of boat there for the money Nick & as I’ve mentioned before with older boats, an additional £30K budget could really put your own stamp on this & add some serious upgrades (purists look away now!). Fab! 😃👋🏻
i used to work for Carver Yachts back in the early 90s up until 2008 and this Fairline reminds me of the boats we used to build. Carver produced many very nice aftcabins that had plenty of space and accomidations and nice warm teak woodwork throughout the boat. That was the time back then when everyone wanted the aftcabin motoryacht with sleeping space at seperate ends of the boat and a high sitting aft deck to lounge on. Now motoryachts have come a long way since then in design and use of space and function. That Fairline is still a very nice and still a usefull livable motoryacht. Thank you Nick for the enjoyable tour of this cool boat!
Like my dear old dad use to say the less pipes the harder it is for the plumbing to get stopped up !! Really like the old school boats !! Cheers Nick !
6:51 It's a subtle thing, but this is what I appreciate about your walkabouts, you just have a keen sense of what is where, in your mind before you say it. Very astute observationing!
I am 47. When i was a teenager, each time i saw a turbo36 it was like you see a bentley at the corner of the street nowadays. During early 90ties it was often the biggest of the marina and everyone was looking at it, the right engines, good cabins, wide, it has everything right. A big corvette 32 which is a similar boat to me.
This boat is pristine, it's like a time capsule. I don't like aft cabins generally because they seem to be floating houses but your comment about a live aboard is spot on. This is a cracking boat and won't be for sale for long.
Nick that was a lovely unbiased review thank you - my boating partner and I have just bought a Fairline Carrera 24. 1992 version needs a bit of tidying but we will bring it back to as near preset one as we can - your vid showed us how well these boats were made so worth us doing - God speed- Chrs Malc
When an old boat has a few modern upgrades they really are quite appealing. It was nice to see that one. Would love to see a 60ft plus old one. Cheers Nick.
Boats such as 60 foot plus wasnt as common back in the day. Of course there are examples, but the vast majority was much smaller. So I think it might be tricky finding something mass produced 60+ feet to review from the 1980s (or earlier).
Awww Nick!! How funny, we just "talked" the other day about our Fairline 36 Sedan if you remember, regarding the size/foot back in the days. And now you show its brother / sister, the Fairline 36 Turbo. What a coincidence! Haha.. I still prefer the Sedan-edition tho, easier access and more "clean" outside and inside. They`re 4,05m wide, that`s massive for a 36 foot boat, at least for its time! So much fun to look inside, so much the same. Thank you! ❤
And thank you Nick for this great show of this Fairline Turbo 36 from 1992 a classic, what a great looking boat it is very well maintain a lovely boat to see Please Nick you can do shows like these every week? What a show again Thanks Nick
I just absolutely love this boat! Being fond of aft cabin layouts to begin with. Fairline hit a home run with this design. It would not surprise me to see a rebirth of this boat with all the updates.
I love these old school boats, having lived for 15 years in Florida I must say a boat like this in Florida would be for sale for about half the price. GPB Equivalent
What a cracking boat!! This would fit perfectly into my dream of a live aboard. Move from the the crappy rainy North West to the Solent and live on this! Take my money now!!
What a stunning boat I love it, a very good price and I love how the owner has modernised it especially with the decks and the raymarine system. Lovely tour thanks Nick!
Ah, wonderful review of a well-cared for classic beauty. Great functionality as well. It’s so much more inviting ( and easier to look at) than the new boats being constructed today.
Great video Nick. Cool you have a classic in the video. it is very well maintained when you consider how old it is. It is also so solidly built it can hold many years to come.
Love this model. Amazing pride of ownership on this one, which is great to see. I do, in fact, juust barely remember cassette! I used to listen to the Magic School Bus books on my tape player/radio! Then I got an iPod for Christmas and it was over 😁
Thank you for doing that one Nick, Wonderful boat, puts a lot of new ones to shame - a clear credit to the owner!! Always been a dream boat of mine & still is ❤️
Why do you think it puts a lot of new boats to shame? I personally like the old Sunseekers. But many of the newer English boat's, like Fairline, Princesses, and Sunseekers are top quality boat's. But I do agree, that you also has to pay top money for these boat's. That's really what it comes down to. Have a nice day
Great boat and one of my favourites from that era. Great value for a big offshore cruiser compared to what the modern equivalent costs! And the thickness of that hull!
What a superb boat and such good value. Some people would look down on it but if you just want to go boating... A great video and enjoyable nostalgia fest!
Another great boat for our viewing pleasure. I really do like the lay out of this one. It gives you far more space and maximises it. Thank you Nick for sharing this one us
I have never before been so smitten by a boat older than I am. I would buy this in a heartbeat. Incredible find Nick! The variety that you feature never ceases to astound me
Oooh, thanks for that Nick, we had one of these as a family boat before the oldies got really old. The diesel hairdryer on ours was my favourite liveaboard feature.
That is a lot of m=boat for the money indeed. I love how they managed to get such a big master, sorry, owners cabin in a boat this size - I guess having an aft cabin can really work.
Nick, I've been a silent follower of your boat reviews for over a year now. Thank you for your thorough tours while keeping your humor, completeness and personality in your tours. You're the best, bar none!
Another very useful weekender or as you say, harbour/liveaboard and a classic original fairline. You certainly got a lot for your money, and still do I've never seen that much storage on a sub 40 foot boat. Another great tour nick from the family run brokerage salterns!
Really enjoyed this one Nick, takes me back to our regatta days bak in the 80’s down Dartmouth. There were plenty of these in the Marina’s and at drop anchor in the river, in fact we spent a week tied up alongside one with our Teal 22 cruiser. Happy days, thank you.
Interesting boat! The salon area is very inviting. The owner's cabin is a really good size. The cassette stereo is a nice touch from the not so distant past 😀. Thank you for showing us this boat. 💐
Lovely classic and still to be seen in good numbers on the Thames. Lots for your money at £82.5k and serious enough to take out in less than perfect weather. And....... it has an old school Barometer - which is always a win for me :-)

These older boats just look right don’t they. Brilliant.
I’d love to have that for a liveaboard. She’s clean enough to be a museum piece. Great tour Nick. Thank you so much.
I love it when you do older used boats!!
Wow! For a boat over 30 years old, THIS one is in great shape. It's refit was very tastefully done.
I can't get over how clean it is, whole place is immaculate.
@♜ pinned by AQUAHOLIC Your not Aquaholic, why are you pretending to be him?
We had a sprint when I was a kid in the early 90s. I used to look through the fairline brochure and just after these, takes me back

Classic boat, classic episode. 14:34 Nick showing true professionalism.
Also, a spot in the Fairline book! Well done!
What I love about this is although it's 30 years old it is perfectly usable. You could step on deck and go straight out to sea. Fabulous.
