I think a proper boat style has a certain appeal. So many yachts try to make you feel as if you're in anything but a boat, which in itself is not a bad thing, but this is a nice reminder you are actually at sea in a boat and not just a luxury apartment with a stunning ocean view.
This. While you can replicate classic design, at somepoint after 2010 they stopped paying attention to these sorts of clean lines. Look at me commenting like I can drop 75k on a boat, much less 750k
@@sh0 Depends. Looking at this channel, you may have classic motor yachts in lines similar to this example, small boats like i.e. Nordhavn designs, various racers and then - yacht-homes. For me as a person from inland country, my eyes are more focused on those yachts/ships types than fast boats and luxury homes as idea of yachting is more about spending time on sea under sails of propeller than moving to place of interest by boat and living on that boat instead of going there by car and living in rented house or hotel. The latter in my eyes provides not that much of an difference.
What a proper passage maker too! Love the fact that she has the serious shore power gear, the red helm station lights, the fuel gear and all the works. Comfy accommodations too. What a find, Nick! Loved every moment of the tour!
That was definitely one of my favorites yet that I've seen on the channel - felt so traditional and yet still very comfortable. It probably helped that it has clearly been impeccably maintained, but that's par for the course on Nick's tours. But I have to say that every space seemed so well-thought-out and practical, while retaining a real feeling of class and comfort. The accommodation was also quite surprising - the master in particular was pretty stunning IMO. Thanks for bringing us this one, while braving the train whistles and the like, Nick!
What a lovely little yacht. You could take her out for a week and not feel like you needed to hurry back. A proper little ship indeed. Thank you for another wonderful tour Nick and I hope Maggie isn't jealous of Jack.
Hard to believe the price considering its abilities and ownership history. You're absolutely correct about the timeless design and accommodations. I don't think it's lacking at all for interior comfort. The owner's cabin is huge for a boat of that length and I love the condition of the silvery grey unfinished teak all around the rails. Exterior stainless is not maintenances free it's just less labor intensive to keep looking new and someone obviously took great care of her. The view of the harbor where she's berthed is just exquisite! A million USD or so is a bargain and you don't get to say that very often.
A kind of superyacht in a modest gift box! Many younger yachts look worn out. Compliments to the owners who owned this beautiful ship. A lot of boat for a modest price! Thanks Nick!
My favourite boat or "little ship" You missed the top opening freezer in the galley. I really love your tours but especially when you do boats like these, your enthusiasm really shines through.
I agree, but am surprised at her rather limited range for a seagoing vessel. I absolutely love her, but wonder if auxiliary fuel tanks could be fitted in somewhere.
Now this little boat has all the charm and character of big vessels but in a charming way, I’m just loving her, i would be very proud to own her. Thank you Nick loved it 👍👍👍
Absolutely love it ! Its condition is a credit to its current & previous owners .. if only I could afford it ☺️. Thanks for another fabulous review Nick, enjoyed that ! Cheers 😉
What a lovely traditional and comfortable boat - it's so refreshing to sea a real sea boat that's built for making voyages rather than the normal poncey gin-palaces designed for sitting in a marina!
Well done Nick. You do such a fine job of a walk through, and you make it look easy. Also, it's nice to see a boat that is clearly being used in real life, and not just a beauty queen at a boat show.
Always love small ships. This one is beautiful. Very well maintained and very practical with nice interiors. The living spaces are surprisingly great with nothing feeling cramped really. Thank you so much Nick. Great video as always :)
A really well kept and upgraded Aquastar. Probably better than a new boat of modern design, and certainly looks better than the outrageous designs of recent times. For 750k an absolute win, win!
I love everything about that apart from its missing a genuinely comfy sofa to relax on indoors when the weather is poor. Anyone who’s spent a bit of time on boats knows the upright space saving style furniture like is opposite the galley is ok to sit on for a short time but not great for lounging on. Other than that, perfection.
After years of your tours, I daresay I'm a bit spoiled and think $750K for this wonderful ship is cheap for all you'd get. I could live very comfortably aboard, and just weigh anchor as the seasons change. The owner has kept it spotless, and upgraded through it's years too. TY Nick, as always.
What a beautiful vessel, practical, sturdy and obviously loved and looked after by it's current owner, I'd sooner have this vessel than any of the multi million dollar mega yachts that you have shown, this is a real boat, thank you Nick and I do hope that you show more of this type and quality of vessel. Fair winds.😊
A lovely tour, thank you. I love these kind of boats no fuss just good solid engineering, you can imagine going serious distance across the oceans on a vest like this. Thanks again.
Nice yacht buddy. I like the design layout. That master bedroom was awesome or using one of your words it was a "proper" master bedroom. I love to listen to you English people talk from England because we don't talk like that in the United States here, mainly in rural Missouri. But I'd take this boat on vacation or use as a live aboard because it would be so easy to keep clean I'd think. I loved the upper fly bridge the most. It has a great layout for this size for a "proper" cruiser. An the galley is perfect for making meals while you have 6 or even 12 people onboard fishing and or in the water playing around. Perfect vacation boat especially if you have children or teenagers because they make messes and I think it would be easy to clean up with floors like that. The boat or small yacht is beautiful especially since I've never seen another one like it or even close to it before from all the channels I've been watching. But Nick I have to say, your channel is my number one favorite, plus that I am faithfully watcher. When I see you posted a new video, I have to see what you found because I know it's going to be worth watching. Love your channel buddy. Great job, and you earned another 'at a boy award' from me here in Missouri. I can't wait to see what you post next time. I still wish you would make a specs page showing us all the details like, the length, width, numbers of gallons fuel tanks are, water, the max range it can go in nautical miles, an what speeds with NM, size of motors, number of bedrooms and or with number of crew beds. Please think about it.
I have to say, it’s the 70ft and under “little ships” and trawler style yachts that interest me the most. In fact I’d say anything over 80ft just feels like a floating hotel review!
Aquastar boats are built in Guernsey in the Channel Islands if I'm not mistaken and are a proper bruiser in relation to their seakeeeping capabilities etc. Another interesting tour of this beautifully well kept boat nick one that has definately stood the test of time.
Hello :) I caught you taking a breath or two on this one. I think you like this boat as much as I do. It is kind of at home no matter where it is, relaxed or stormy. I see it doing both quite well. I do love that you said "it is not built around being roomy but more for at sea". Take care 🙂
Nick! What a gem.... This is such a proper boat or ship as you said.... This is truly remarkable. I love these more or less unknown trawler yachts/ Boats that can go anywhere but don't occupy the whole marina. You have really found a very nice little ship. And it also feels - sizewise - like the interior can manage the number of guests. And if one were a bit creative, you could fit a pair of barstools in front of the gally, or a smaller table in front of the settee opposite the gally. This is really a well proportioned ship, thank you so much for this walkthrough ...!!
Raise the kitchen couch up to bar or kitchen counter height and put a step up where you can rest your feet. Maybe I'm wrong, but the way it looks now when you sit there you'd look at the wood/kitchen counter, you wouldn't be eye level with that beautiful window over the sink.
A great tour and as you say a proper A rated boat and not bad top speed either. Thanks as always for posting. Now the wait for part 2 of the Falmouth trio
Love is blind. I was so taken by this little piece of perfection, I started looking in your foot notes for the broker. Like I can afford it! Doh! Stunning yacht, great tour, as always 🙂
Now, this is a little ship i could see you on, Nick. Update little things every year, enjoying the craftmanship. Those leather seats look like they are new.
Beautiful vessel!!! I'm betting she rides pretty nice in chop with that hull shape and CAT A rating. I think that's a very under-rated part of enjoying your boat, even if the seas are a bit rough you aren't getting tossed all over the place. Also the condition is OUTSTANDING, a real testament to the build quality along with the LOVE the previous owner gave her.
love these Aquastar's . Classic design with enough luxury to make it a very comfortable "wave basher' . I'd prefer a smaller galley ( my cooking skills really don't justify one of that size ! ) with more space given over to a proper rear salon space but otherwise a beautiful boat. Thanks for the tour Nick !
That's a nice little ship, I can see why you liked it as well. For me it just feels like it needs a little bit updating on the inside in terms of seats etc

The Dockpower system is a slick piece of kit; it lets you combine two shore power cables into a single supply to feed all your electrical loads. So if you're on two smaller shore lines (32A each) and you have 40A of HVAC gear on board, you won't trip the shore breaker from going over 32A on one service; instead it'll pull equally from both services, combine them, then distribute them as needed to the rest of the boat.
