Iowa's Senior Offensive Tackle Brandon Scherff shows off his attributes in the weight room and on the field that have made him an All-American and projected first round NFL draft pick.
Never seen an offensive lineman highlights that got me excited to watch him play like this beast. Giants do not fuck this up. The only acceptable alternate is denzel perriman and no other!
I'm kinda, sorta on board for Scherff. Our O-line could definitely use him to help keep Teddy from getting killed by some kind of Bill Romanowski wanna-be. My take though, is that unless Slick Rick trades up, or some reasonable facsimile thereof, Scherff's not gonna be there at #11. SOMEBODY is bound to grab this mountain within the top 10. There are a lot of elites at many different positions this time around. At #11, it's really tough to say who will still be there. I like Scherff, Fowler, Jr., Marcus Peters, MAYBE Waynes...(further evaluation needed), Beasley, Gregory, Shane Ray, P J Williams.... Notice my choices are all D. ONE REASON. DEFENSE wins Championships. I'm throwing all of my chips in on Flash breaking out this year. I surely do hope that I'm not disappointed, though there is this gut feeling that keeps gnawing at me, telling me that they're going after another WR, and so far, all the signs point to DeVante Parker, (a Louisville reunion for Bridgewater). IMHO, the more prudent choice would be Cooper (IF he's there), or Kevin Smith, who will most assuredly, not still be available at #11. It's still just a wait and see thing, about EVERYONE CONCERNED. All one can hope for, as a fellow fan of the Purple and gold, is that our draft is a wise and prudent one, grabbing the BPA whenever necessary, to insure some building blocks for the future, with TB5 at the helm. He's just gonna get better. And with a career 64+ completion pct., watching how quickly he developed into a viable starter (without warning, his # came up), being able to dive right in, take control of the huddle, able to recognize when to audible and check down, and able to almost immediately be able to hit EVERY wideout on the Viking roster (with the possible exception of Cordarrell), the future is so bright for Bridgewater, you gotta wear shades. SKOL VIKINGS!!
ilovetoparty1 What makes you believe that we won't take Scherff for the 5th pick. I agree with you Washington's defensive back (Not runningbacks) field is absolutely terrible, however, to say that we have no pass rush isn't true at all, and if that would be the case then how come Ryan Kerrigan was able to get in the backfield all season accumulating 13.5 sacks (7th overall and 2nd in the NFC). Also, I believer people are giving RG3 too much criticism lately and need to lay off. All in one season the man has went through surgery, limitation because of a brace, had to learn a new system that's not friendly to his talents, and had to play behind a line that's horrible and not suitable for the system that Gruden is trying to implement. Let's place you behind terrible offensive line (Beside Trent Williams) that couldn't hold back water, and try to stand in a pocket knowing you're going to get hit every down, look over defenders in your face every down, and try to get things going. It's not going to happen ! Even Aaron Rodgers would have problems playing behind a nonexistent line.
Joshua Seagle Kerrigan is a beast but one player hardly makes a difference if no one else is getting to the QB. and RG3 is a shadow of his former self. I remember first year he played for the Redskins the NFC east were very fearful for him. To be fair you can blame Mike Shanahan for unintentionally getting RG3 hurt. Though with some more expierience RG3 can become a more then decent pocket QB
Love how he plays to the whistle. Usually see the O Line throw one block and just look. He'd be a great addition to Fisher and the Rams. But him at the Guard next to Robinson and the line will be 100x better than this past season.
I don't think he'll get out of the top 5 to be honest. I think he's gonna run a scary quick 40 and he's gonna get drafted really high, which he deserves. Dude is better than Ogbuehi.
I must say after watching footage on this man/beast.....I didn't think their was truly any Tackles worthy of a top 15 pick in this year's draft.....I am a huge Landon Collins fan, and Mr. GEROD reminds me of Mr. Joe Thomas in Cleveland. ......I think this kid has the potential to move over to play RT with the Washington Redskins......he has trade mark of a run block fortress all over him......and his pass blocking and strength makes him an elite power house in my opinion
I'm so proud of this pick. We needed this. Good job Scot. Handling business already in the front office. #HTTR Can't wait to see who we pick at #38 tomorrow.
1:10 - 1:17 is my favorite part. He owned Gregory all day, so they moved the " Top Ten Defensive End " to the other side the rest of the day. Lol. This guy will be an all pro for which ever team drafts him. Go Hawks!!!
I went to school and played on the football team with this guy way back when he was the starting quarterback in high school. One of the biggest, toughest, and most athletic bastards I've known. He is gonna do well in the NFL.
Born December 26, 1991. Played high school football for the Denison Monarchs (IA). Played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Winner of both the 2014 Outland Trophy & the Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year. #1 Draft pick (#5 overall) of the Washington Redskins. A new generation of Hogs? As the late Casey Kasem always said, stay tuned.
This guy is awesome I would love if steelers got him but they don't need offensive tackle but i bet if he were available at 22 they would definitely take him we need pass rusher for our defense and CB but this guy is pure gold.
Nothing I love to see more than a fellow o-lineman being physical and aggressive. I wish I got anywhere close to as talented as he is during my career. What a fuckin beast! Sure he may be a little over the top with the aggression, but its much easier to teach a man to tone down his aggression than it is to teach someone to be more aggressive.
Kobe Jordan Michael Bryant I disagree with you. He won't fall out of the top 10 for sure but top 5 is quite debatable since Mariota and Winston will go first.
Giants offensive line is build pretty well so far from LT to RT with Beatty, TBD, Richburg, Schwartz and Pugh. Now if we add this beast into the LG position it will definitely improve not only our run game, which I believe Andre Williams will be our starting RB, but it will also improve our offense in total. It will give Eli more time in the pocket to throw to our dynamic duo (Cruz and Beckham). And with the additions of Vereen, Harris and Daniels we might have one of the best offenses in the NFL. But, my gut feeling is telling me we might pick up Landon Collins since we're desperately in need of a Safety.
Yes let's go about time there is an offensive lineman as tough as him Giants NEED to draft him they could build around him of the O line and can get that strong offensive line they once had....makes a lot of sense and it is a perfect fit
Damn, that's how you finish blocks! This guy @ RT opposite the Silverback sounds like the making of a nasty o-line! Alfred Morris & RG3 are so happy right now haha
we need more oline highlights
I'm sayin they need to make stats for them as well.
+Blackman21 agree
More than ever now.
Never seen an offensive lineman highlights that got me excited to watch him play like this beast. Giants do not fuck this up. The only acceptable alternate is denzel perriman and no other!
7 years later giants fucked it up
Looking pretty good right now though!
With the 5th pick in the NFL DRAFT the Washington Redskins select Brandon Scherff from Iowan
YES SIR!! Fix that O-Line in this year's draft. #HTTR
Jimmie Beatty I hope the Giants pick him up in the 9th
Jimmie Beatty You nailed it tho lmao
You called it!
NICE!!
We just got a stud.
Great footwork.
He looks like a real life Viking, so he's a must have in Minnesota! Skol!

2:40. I love it how when his guy drops back into coverage he just jacks up the dude next to him. Love that attitude!
This guy IS a Hog. Time for the Skins to bring them back. Starting with him.
Washington's backfield is wack and have they also have no defensive pass rush. Plus a non reliable QB. They wont take Schreff
ilovetoparty1 What makes you believe that we won't take Scherff for the 5th pick. Joshua Seagle every player has been injured or plays with braces rg3 is a bust plain and simple in the NFL you have to adapt
Joshua Seagle Kerrigan is a beast but one player hardly makes a difference if no one else is getting to the QB. and RG3 is a shadow of his former self. @@ilovetoparty1 Chase Young cometh! Httr!

man this guy really knows how to get out into the 2nd level and down field. always love oline highlights.
HTTR boys! Big boy big piece for our franchise
It has begun! HTTR!
St. Louis Rams select Brandon Scherff at #10...this guy is a fucking animal!
Mark Jaramillo If he's available, Giants are guaranteed to take him at #9. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone before that though.
SKINS!!!!!!!!
2:42 was my favorite. The DE backs off Scherff into coverage so Scherff just turns and blasts the guy next to him. He's a stud
PLEASE OH PLEASE GIANTS. Draft him now.
He's a mauler I likie!
I agree. The OL is bad. We need this monster
I don't think he'll get out of the top 5 to be honest. I think he's gonna run a scary quick 40 and he's gonna get drafted really high, which he deserves. Dude is better than Ogbuehi.
Four of the worst six teams are weakest at QB and skill positions. He'll be there for the Giants
I hope we do get him
I must say after watching footage on this man/beast.....I didn't think their was truly any Tackles worthy of a top 15 pick in this year's draft.....I am a huge Landon Collins fan, and Mr. GEROD reminds me of Mr. Joe Thomas in Cleveland. ......I think this kid has the potential to move over to play RT with the Washington Redskins......he has trade mark of a run block fortress all over him......and his pass blocking and strength makes him an elite power house in my opinion
***** this man is thee absolute truth.. ...I can see him on the Washington Redskins starting oline......playing RT
Minister Carl Glover U got it right!
1:00 is that guy dead? Damn this guy is a monster.
I'm so proud of this pick. We needed this. Good job Scot. Handling business already in the front office. #HTTR Can't wait to see who we pick at #38 tomorrow.

Holy shit. This guy should go top ten for sure. Straight up beast

Woooooooooooooo this guy makes playing oline so fun!
Now that's what I call finishing your block! He eliminates defenders from the play, and can't wait to see him as a Minnesota Viking!
This guy has a nasty streak a mile wide!! I hope he becomes a NY Giant!!! Go Big Blue!!
that dude is a damn monster
This guy is awesome I would love if steelers got him but they don't need offensive tackle but i bet if he were available at 22 they would definitely take him we need pass rusher for our defense and CB but this guy is pure gold.
Welcome to the New York Football Giants Mister Scherff

Beast mode 24/7! Excellent highlight reel!
Welcome to DC.
I can't get over the fact that he cleans 480 good god💪
I'm so pumped the Skins drafted this dude. He's an absolute savage!
The best OL highlight I've seen in my life ! And probably one of the best OL I've seen also :P
Thats the best oline highlights ive seen in a while!!! Beast
Rams run game would be sick with Tre mason in the backfield, Greg Robinson at Tackle and this guy at Guard..
He is going ninth to the G men. Our offense is going to be on point this year. Just what we need for a super bowl run.
BEAST !!!!!!!
Rams are all over this guy ! Back to back 1st round picks being guards .. we got a physical and nasty o 'line . He's going #10 overall
Love how this guy seems to play with a mean streak and doesn't stop even when he gets his man to the ground
Beast till this day 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
We need this guy in sd
We can use this guy as a replacement for Rhinehart at LG until King Dunlap is gone and move Scherff to LT.
Kobe Jordan Michael Bryant Can't a man dream for a minute?
Kobe Jordan Michael Bryant I disagree with you. He won't fall out of the top 10 for sure but top 5 is quite debatable since Mariota and Winston will go first.
Love the attack he has and the aggression
This guy is a monster WOW

old school nastiness and tenacity, would probably fit as a RT or Guard in the NFL, but still. games are forever one with the big boys on front!
great video!!! Rams need this man. lets get him!
this dude is a monster !
One word, "beast".
Welcome to the family big guy!!! #SkinsNation #HTTR
Future Jags RT. He and Watt will be fun to watch. Bortles to Lee, Touchdown!
more like future Texans RT if hes hopefully still available at #16
Fucking beast. Giants need him.
That's a mean dude haha
he ain't human
These are the good ol iowa days
I used to love pancaking the second level guys, it was a good feeling catching them because they're skinny and fast. Not today son! #O-LINE!
welcome to the club, Scherff.!
He's a beast! Welcome to the Texans Brandon!
😂😂😂
lolwat
+Grand Wonder what? He went to the redskins, cj fiedorowicz went to the texans
Wow! Reminds me of Zack Martin. I can see him as a guard though. Love his aggressive, physical play.
HOLY SHIT! Giants NEED this guy!
Ol boy is bad ass
He is going to be a very good olineman in the NFL. He can play guard. I think he'd be a great RT, not so sure if he is nimble enough for LT.
Yes let's go about time there is an offensive lineman as tough as him Giants NEED to draft him they could build around him of the O line and can get that strong offensive line they once had....makes a lot of sense and it is a perfect fit
brandon scherff highlight before gta 6 is crazy
Can't wait to see this guy in Burgundy and Gold
physical, mean & NASTY...Welcome to the Redskins Brandon...there is a new Scherff in town.....HTTR4LIFE!!!
Damn, that's how you finish blocks! This guy @ RT opposite the Silverback sounds like the making of a nasty o-line! Alfred Morris & RG3 are so happy right now haha
Screw Morris & RG3, it's the Matt Jones & Kirk Cousins show now!
Beast
whoever gets him is lucky. that man is a giant.
I hope we use him for a guard he be destroying defensive lineman on the run. Excellent run blocker!!!!
I love it
I want to be mean and nasty like this guy... I love it
WELCOME TO THE REDSKINS!!!! #HTTR
That judo chop at 2:10.....oh lawd
Should have been a Giant. Goddamn it!
no disrespect to the guy he seems like a beast, but he grabs a LOT of jersey, and holds quite a bit as well
This is how they teach 'em at Iowa. I'm surprised more 4,5 star guys don't consider or come to Iowa. They only turn 3 star linemen into top 5 picks!
Jesus! This guy serves more pancakes than ihop. Sorry guys lol lol lol lol . Damn dominating straight up.
HTTR! great pick
Giants need this BEAST in the OL
he brings that Giant toughness.
Coming from a jets fan.. this guy is a monster. scary as hell
Welcome to Washington! The skins are glad to have you!
Whatever team he lands on I'm gonna make sure to watch how he does in the NFL.
Look at that o line move he did at 2:10 when he slaps the guys arm that's instinctive!
Minnesota has to get this guy now!!!
SKIIINNNSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is better than Leonard Williams. One on one my money would be on Scherff!! Can't wait for the season!!
Savage as fuck.
Love his aggressive play, but a lot of unnecessary roughness calls will be in his future if he doesn't tone it down
rocmd2020 that's just what i was thinking, too.
It's Big Ten football- nobody likes each other!lol
He reminds me of Joe Jacoby with more athleticism. He FINISHES blocks like nobody I've seen in a while. Welcome to the burgundy and gold brother!!!
What's up Paul
move over beatty this hopefully is the next Giants LT
Future RT of the NY Football Giants. Kick Pugh inside to LG.
Lol when that little safety came in......OOF
WELCOME TO DC!!! HTTR!
However, I'm fighting between whether the Redskins should pick between Randy Gregory or Landon Collins in the second round of the draft.
Welcome to washington big brandon lets eat👏👏👏👏💪💪💪##httr4life
Nasty!
every high school O lineman should watch this guy to see how to play nasty and finish the play while playing correctly
Come on Vikings..PLEASE GRAB HIM!!!!
