Thank you so much for your precious friendship, it means everything Игры
Hunter, you have a great opportunity here. You fly a lot in WT and you are often successful. As someone who just started War Thunder in Jan 2020 I can tell you the most challenging thing about WT is learning proper set ups and solutions. Yes there are things on Reddit and on the WT forums but often that info is outdated and not always accurate due to how WT is developed. Fortunately for me, being older and financially secure, it was easy for me to “buy” my way past the frustrations with a given aircraft or vehicle. For a lot of people though this isn’t an option. A series on how to play certain vehicles or even categories of vehicles/aircraft, as well as control set ups could be a huge help to new WT players and even some older WT players who maybe didn’t think about using a vehicle or aircraft a certain way. I think your simple approach to making WT videos could also help some people. Either way keep up the great work. I enjoy your content.
Thanks a lot my friend, I appreciate the kind comment and I'm glad you are enjoying the videos, finding them helpful and also for your passion to War Thunder, I love this game, still enjoying playing it even after 8 years and I feel very happy when I find people with similar passion to this great game, complaining about the negative aspects like balance, SL, RP ... etc is not really my thing. Have a wonderful day :)
@@Hunter_i86 Totally agree with you! Most people i see seem to blame gaijin for everything (which is true, but doesnt mean you should)
And instead of adapting to the imbalance and problems, they complain more and more for something that is unlikely to be fixed in the near future... Not that gaijin shouldnt fix the game, but its better to adapt due to 'climate' change rather than waiting for gaijin to stop the climate change.
friend, you just saved my life, after watching more than 30 videos on how to fly in a sim with keyboard and mouse I finally found the key thanks to your fantastic video. thank you so much!!
Glad I could help my friend, I wasn't expecting this video will help players at all, the whole idea about it was just to show "sense of flight" only! Have fun :)
Finally some sim
Yes
Just did my first sim game with these controls in my ej kai. Very useful and easy to control plus ej Kai has amazing radar I got 9 a2a frags highly recommended. You just got a subscriber 🤙
Great to hear! congrats my friend and thanks a lot for the support, it means a lot to me :)
Thanks a bunch for this dude! Helps a ton.
Nice! Thank you for this
Thanks man! I really been struggling for some plane sim
love it! thanks bro!
The video ive been looking for for 2 years now to try and play air sim. Thank you for this wonderful guide which wt forums never tell you about
You're very welcome! :)
That was a really nice heli landing!
Thanks so much, this put a smile on my face since it worked so well!
Glad it helped! :)
Can't believe I've been looking in the wrong place for setting relative controls for the elevator and aileron axis for 4 months XD. I was just bashing my head into the keyboard since you can't just enable relative control on the axis tune like all the others. Thanks for this! Now I can stop bouncing around until I get back from deployment and to my setup!
Hunter i really thank you , i spent these years suffering trying all the best to prove my fly with the basic settings , but once i tried yours i start to prove my self very well as fighter , thank you sooo much
Great! glad I could help with something my friend, have fun :)
@@Hunter_i86 Thx i wish you a wonderful day o7
I would love it if war thunder could enable to send custom controlls via messages so you just can load them and instantly play. Like its pretty difficult to do a setup for ps4 and controller
Thanks! Always wanted to fly Sim in warthunder, and I've recently got into arma flying and decided to look into controls setup for warthunder. When I saw your video and tried your controls I was actually able to take off and shoot down another plane in test flight, which is miles ahead of what I could do before.
Thanks a lot my friend, I'm glad I could help. I appreciate your generous donation, it means a lot. If you need anything about controls or options DM me or ping me in my Discord server. God bless you
Omfg i didn't know you could turn off the sense of flight, that was the only reason I dont use the cockpit view due to the goddamn pilots heads lowering when I turn 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks! Helped a lot :)
Glad it helped! Zeroing sense of flight is great!
almost 3 years later and this video still helps someone. i'm starting my way into Sim Battles and find the correct configuration to Mouse/Keyboard is the first challenge. your videos help me a lot man. really enjoy your content. keep the good work brother. wish you always the best.
Glad it helped! But I don't understand why people still choose to watch it, it was about "sense of flight" option only.
If you want an updated K&M controls video for a sim starter, check this one, I hope it helps.

@@Hunter_i86 thats the point. One 'simple' thing for a begginer makes a big difference. I'll watch that one soon. Apreciate man.
Man did something others didn’t and did it damn well
Thank you mate!
No worries!
I been playing dcs lately and now wanted to try WT on sim (been playing WT too since 2014) but i have only played on RB so i wanted to go to SB now with my 23MLD or EJ kai using MnK
This video completely saved my interest in sim. Previously, my aircraft responded to my inputs extremely jerkily and suddenly, but now the experience is buttery smooth. Been having a lot of fun in sim now, thanks Hunter!
Glad it helped! thanks :)
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you. You have know idea how this is a such a godsend for me. Now I can -- at least -- smoothly glides through the sky, not bumbling around like a flying SARC (no offense South Africa, I like the SARC platform in ground RB).
I'm very glad to help my friend :)
Hunter, could you do an updated tutorial about this? Because things changed since this video
Love it
OMG dude. how do u land that heli so smooth?????????????? Very well done my friend!!!!!!
I thing... Maybe you need make a play list with all controls of the sim battles and tips to play good. Thx for the help!
Holy sht this helps a lot
Ah the good old sense of flight settings, i turned it down to zero in 2016 and never touched it again,i am a mouse and kb sim pilot (Relative Control) , i tried using Joy Stick with head tracking but i just couldn't adapt to it,i have played sim with mouse keyboard for too long to switch now.
just wanted to say a year after this was posted i tried it for the first time and got 13 s2a kills in gripen and i will probably only be playing sim from now on! thanks!!
Happy to hear, good luck :)
Hello, I have a problem that I cannot get rid of the mouse aim for relative control on aim battles so my mouse moves a bit and keeps moving my plane like upwards and I’m not sure how to get rid of the pitch axis bind which I think is causing this issue.
Keep going man and incha Allah u well succeeded ✊
Bro that's haram
What?
GAME CHANGER!!! Sense of Flight wow thank's for showing this :D Now to hunt KA-50's and Ka-52's in my A7D XD
Hello! Thank you very much! For a long time I wanted to play in the simulator mode on airplanes and helicopters with a keyboard and mouse. You saved me with your video! Maybe someone needs my advice. I did everything according to its settings, but the mouse control was still slow. I added sensitivity to the mouse profile. I usually use 4000 DPI, but with his settings I set it to 7100 DPI and everything was perfect. This is the case when I did not regret that I bought an expensive mouse (RAZER Basilisk V3).
Thanks for the additional tips, good luck and have fun pilot .. I'm glad the video was helpful :)
Well that's a pretty neat I didn't know you can do that
Vielen Dank!
Thx
Thanks Mate, o/.
You're welcome!
Great guide Hunter, this actually made me start playing again. Could you upload your setting to google drive or some other service, just to make it even simpler to get the controls correct. Do you use the keyboard when in VR and I have sub'd, you have great content.
I just use mouse & keyboard my friend, I don't have VR .. thanks a lot and I'm glad the video was helpful, for now if you want my controls file you can send me a message on Discord and I will upload the file to you.
changing to relative controlls made the game playable for me now! i cant thank you enough man and i hate that warthunder's default controls are crap
Yeah man, mouse joystick mode is ugly haha, relative mode is not easy but it is closer to games we used to like Battlefield or ARMA for example. Have fun :)
Honestly GOAT’d for this. I’ve been trying to get my sim controls on M&K for months after switching from controller. Does relative control remove that stupid white ring and dot or is there an option to?
Relative control does that, glad to help my friend, thanks. 🙂
@@tiziorodriguez5854 ya. Mm mm. When I played on controller it didn’t have the ring and I did just fine without it. I may not have been the best but I did manage to keep up with M&K players. It’s such an eye sore for me
Every time I use relative controls and reset my pitch and roll. My mouse is always added to one or the other. Cant get it to be just my WASD keys.
Do you have any tips for sim on controller and how did you adjust yourself in the cockpit
TY FOR SHARING BRUH...
how can i make my plane not move while i am fixing a tank? I fix a tank with the Mavericks but when I go to shoot I never hit my missiles. This happens because while I'm aiming my plane goes down, let me explain?
hello can make us the same video with the airplane and helicopter controls in rb mode
TYSM king you ve saved me from cancer
Cheers.
This should be great Thanks! I got so tired of having a joystick (sometimes 2 joysticks) and hotas cluttering my desktop that I just stopped playing sims altogether. There is at least one I can return to now.
Yeah! Sim
I can't remove the mouse from the pitch axis
what buttons do i press to fly?
How can you adjust the camera in the cokc pit like make it go up or down like you did at 1:05
Head movement buttons
I testify that it works really well, I passed from 0 kills to 6 kills in a single match 🥳😺
Glad I could help :)
hello Hunter, I set the controls as in the video, I'm trying with an A4E but I don't understand why the plane tends the nose down and does not go in a straight line with the throttle at 100%
Hello my friend, try trimming buttons, pitch up one specifically but you must know that trimming doesn't work when SAS is on.
I’ve got a bomber and I can never get it above 500m. Any fix? It always just tips.
Great guide mate! could you tell me what keys do you use for Zoom camara and Mouse look? Thanks
Thanks
ALT + Mouse to free look
Mouse Wheel: Zoom Axis
How can i make the mouse for rolling
And A/D for yawing
Same as battlefield
Edit yaw buttons in controls
Second the best
i like having at least 5 or 15 sense of flight so my head doesnt feel like a camera stick.
How did your head go up in the cockpit at 1:03 ? and how did you zoom the TV for the mavericks?
Head Movement Upward Downward buttons, also old video .. Maverick B can't zoom in\out now.
Wow. And you look around how? Mouse look prevent you from make maneuvers.
Btw is there any snap shot look around solution as this we had in IL2?
ALT button + Mouse
Hunter what name setting You can Launch Mevrik with not use cockpit viewes...
Obama setting
Hello hunter, do u know how to make the movement stable? for example if i need to turn i need to move my mouse and took it and put it on the middle of the mouse pad again and move it again, u know what i mean? sorry my english is bad so idk how to explain it well
Hello, I use WASD to control the plane, mouse is for aiming and slight adjusts.
How do you get ride of the circle that shows your mosue thingy
Relative control mode ruclips.net/video/fOHy1BOBbls/видео.htmlsi=bIma9_SIwu-vy-Bc
Man I've had that option disabled since I was playing biplanes... Always hated the feel of it
Hello there :)
Thanks for guide! But i have a question - how can i invert Pitch axis for mouse? It's pretty uncomfortable for me, when heli pitching nose down, if i move my mouse up(
Try double click Pitch Axis ----> Invert Axis
@@Hunter_i86but it inverts everything , even looking up n down
@@Hunter_i86 Any updates on this?

I just had a question how do you fly the airplane with mouse joystick cause i cant turn the plane on pitch it with the relative view
I use WASD, Q&E to pitch, roll and yaw with the help of the mouse as well.
can't even fly for a second when i set it to relative control, + plane goes down when you want to go up, really interesting video comments.
Because practice matters.
How do you remove the circle with the dot in the middle?
Relative Control mode, not mouse joystick.
Is the clacking sound in the background Sfx from the game? Or your keyboard?
Food video, will be useful to many people who play pc without a controller (I play console)
Clacking sound is from the game not from my keyboard, it has been added recently :)
@@Hunter_i86 cool, ill have to check it out sometime :)
what is sense of flight for? I fly smoothly (imo) on controller with only dampening mode on (or use trim for props)
It's how much your pilot's head (camera) moves around in the cockpit while maneuvering. With SoF at zero, the camera sits still in the set position at all times
Try it and you will feel it 🙂
This setup works fine but it has its flaws like if you hold pitch the plane first starts shaking and after that it goes in to a flat spin no matter the speed if you go like 500kmh and hold the pitch for 5 seconds you will be in a flat spin
I still play on these settings, keyboard and mouse "relative control" mode, it requires practice and time to get used to. Don't hold pitch up button so much, mainly tap it. ruclips.net/video/_7wrKBziB1U/видео.htmlsi=nSmEcM8B2mQ6Qoh2
👍👍👍
I doubt anyone will see this nowadays but one thing that is still happening to me that I can't 'fix' is if I'm pulling just pitch to get my nose up or turn, my plane always twists and almost forces me into a flat spin.
Any tips or way to fix?
I tap it my friend
Hey Hunter, when i select relative controls, i can barely move my aircraft with my mouse. I follow all of your steps, any idea how to fix this?
Hello, I use WASD "mainly" to control the aircraft, practice on "tapping" the pitch up button, and mouse only for slight adjustments. Mouse mainly for free look.
@@Hunter_i86 thank you very much. 😀
When playing sim my aircraft tends to pitch downward without my input, is this natural or can I alter some of my settings to prevent it?
I pitch up\down to resist it
Do you control the plane in sim with just mouse or are you using a lot of keybaord as well? I’ve heard that you don’t wanna use keybaord as much in sim.
Keyboard mainly my friend, pitch and roll with WASD, and mouse for aim and adjusting only. Also mouse mainly used for free looking.
@@Hunter_i86 okay awesome thank you!
I agree with everything you do. But the Control mode is better in the ( mouse joystick ) option and not relative control. my opinion.
is the only thing that did not suit me.
Sure my friend, Mouse Joystick\Relative Control is up to preference, I tried Mouse Joystick but I could not get used to it at all, I wanted to share the sense of flight in this video more than other things, some people might not know about it.
@@Hunter_i86 what is sense of flight?
i dont know what im doing wrong but i cant take off when using this settings. the mouse wont respond and just went to dive into the ground
I use WASD mainly to pitch and roll, mouse only for slight adjustments and mainly for free look.
@@Hunter_i86 oh okay i thought you were using the mouse for the maneuvering. thanks
How do I aim my gun with these controls
WASD and adjust with mouse
there is a slight problem there bud
in that contol i have to keep my mouse moving when i manuver
is there is anyting else that i don't have to keep my mouse moving evertime ?
2.any plane i fly always banks to the left side and it rarely has any aileron contol
1- I personally use WASD for pitching and rolling, I mean I tab (S) button consistently and slightly when I want to turn, same thing for rudder control by using Q&E, and mouse is just for adjusting aim, I know relative control might not be the best choice for everyone and the majority prefer mouse joystick, so it is up to preference. (This video was about "Sense of Flight" in the first place).
2- I mostly play jets in sim so the engine torque is not a problem but you can use trimming for balancing ailerons and elevator when using propeller planes, do not forget to check the relative control of the trimming buttons as well.
Remember: Both mouse joystick and relative control modes are not ideal for sim piloting, flight stick will always be the best choice but we try our best with what we have.
@@Hunter_i86 Except SU-11. It immediately swerve left when I turn the throttle to 50%, even 40%. I have to gently guide the plane along the runway by constantly adjusting the yaw
Now my throttle is stuck at 47% although everything else helped and overall very helpful
turn on relative control for throttle Axis
Hunter how did you move your head up inside i can do it but have to hold the button so its hard to play holding it but you just clicked and it got up how?
turn on "relative control" in that camera setting, so it won't reset
@@10kmilesy i cant find it. Do you meen on control mode to set relative control? Never mind i found it
@@paolo5140 Turn on relative control in head movement settings.
@@Hunter_i86 yeah found it thanks :)
Is there any way to look around with the mouse with out holding C ?
VR, Track IR, or mouse with C button (I changed it to "ALT" button).
Thank you
I don't know what I did to my controls :(
What? If I set to _relative control_ my mouse is disabled
It is not disabled, only the virtual mouse joystick will disappear.
How do you have your view be set higher in the cockpit?
Head movement buttons
@@Hunter_i86 how do you set that up?
What is the sense of flight
How do you zoom out like in the beginning of the video
Mouse Wheel: Zoom Axis
@@Hunter_i86 my zoom axis doesn’t work anymore, are you having the same problem?
is the plane suposed to pitch downwards as soon as you let go of the mouse?
I keep slightly tapping WASD
@@Hunter_i86 Dang. I really wish the mouse joystick would just place the joystick where I tell the mouse to put it.
@@pandovian_ a little late, but you need to set the SAS mode to damping. It will solve your problem.
@@TheMasterReflect Ah. Problem is, I don't fly anything that has SAS.
I always start to spin out of control when in simulator battles, any help?
Easy on the pitch up button, tap it slightly.
@@Hunter_i86 yeah but thats incredibly irritating to dk
If you happen to have a gamepad - it can replace a joystick for you
is there a way to keep the mouse from ''centering the joystick'' ??
Sorry didn't understand, explain please .. this is relative control mode, not "mouse joystick" mode.
Let me try to word this properly . U know when a joystick has that spring that always pushes it back to the center ? That’s happening I pull the mouse down and the plane responds but then if I whant to sustain a turn I have to keep pushing it down and run out of mousepad … is it suppose to be like that and I have to use keyboard to do the big turns or i what ? I did everything like in ur videos do u use keyboard to do the big turns or what
@@cleitoncampos1642 Sadly there is no way to solve that, I use keyboard buttons WASD\QE to pitch, roll and yaw most of time and mouse only to adjust aim and mainly to free look.
how to get cockpit fov same as urs?
Mouse Wheel: Zoom Axis
Can I also use this zoom mode in realistic mods?
Yes, mouse wheel zoom axis.
@@Hunter_i86 oh thx Thanks for the information
How about prop plane sim control? it's harder to control props when takeoff than jets imo
They are harder for sure, engine torque is the reason.
Don't immediately go for WEP during take off. Increase throttle to 30% or 40% and see where the plane swerve. Adjust accordingly, and when you got the sense of how the plane swerve right or left, go for WEP. Remember: different planes have different tendencies. Warplanes with big engine power usually the worst "swervers"
@@wahyucn 109s are the biggest culprits in that regard, especially variants past the g2 but they are nice to fly in sim other than that
I can't change the camera position to look over the dashboard. I assigned all the buttons and still nothing happens when I press them. Can anyone help?
Mouse look activation in "Common controls"
@@Hunter_i86 Yeah I meant the option called 'Head movement' in 'camera control' , sorry if the question wasn't clear but still thanks for the quick Answer :)
How do you turn?? with A and D??
