How much this game is slept on and how oblivious people are over the fact that TEAM NEED FOR SPEED HAPPENED angers me , this game was a journey and a half for me
That and its soundtrack (including the ‘gladiator’ remix and such). Very underrated stuff imo
@@toonzoku9478 absolutely , shift2 really likes its remixes , from the main menu to rival intros and race ending remixes .

Dude I know, I loved both of the shift games
This game was an absolute marvel ! I spent way too much time playing it. Being an absolute car enthusiast, especially at the time when I discover Formula Drift and Vaughn Gittin JR, i was mad in love with this game, it felt like a dream coming true for a young kid wanting to do nothing other than being a racing driver, especially drifting. It felt like meeting my heroes, living my own adventure. Till this day I remember simply listening to the menu soundtrack and finding the perfect tuning for my cars.
The only real problem that this game had was odd physics which, outside of drifting, were frustrating at times
I'm a big fan of the cutscenes and the style of this game, played through it last year

This is the game that can get over Project Cars
i compare this game allot with project cars... the both give me the same vibes and chills at certain moments. however the music at shift 2 realy gives you the adrenaline and emotions drivers have before a big race. 1 game i hope to continue this real gt3/1 vibe is assetto corsa competizione. that also feels realistic and because of that also someway scary if you go 3 wide towards turn 1... i do mis the intense music in that game too however
@@Dutch_Chucky yeah, i love that game and i play it on my xbox 360, has alot scary moments and gives adrenaline at first person mode

Watching this cut-scenes brings me back to 12 y.o me finally joining my dad's interests in F1 & Motogp, but I instead attracted to Formula Drift & sports car racing. Now I'm a huge motorsport fans watching all sorts of racing from Fd to rally to imsa, nascar, & Indy, F1, wec, supergt, motogp, wsbk, and everything in between. And this game is one of the founding foundations of that. Thank you Need For Speed 🙏🏻
If only back in those days sim racing a thing this game would been a platform 😊 back in days everybody was shouting yet i love this shift and shift 2 and best track racing back in the days . Also everything started with pro Street ❤️❤️

How good was Jamie Campbell Walter , really?
Literally, he only scored himself a 14th position finish and this was in 2005. He never had any class wins, neither.
@@retroybd2780 wdym he is literally the final boss of racing. He would end Verstappen, Hamilton or Schumacher's career in an instant.
He won the British GT title in 1999 and FIA GT Championship in 2000, then the WEC GTE Am title in 2013 after the game was released. Regarding purely FIA GT1, which is what the game made him out to be an expert at, he did two of the three seasons and won 1 race in the 20 events he entered. He may have been the final boss of the game, but certainly not a world-beater.
