Personally Dark Saga is My Favorite Album Given it's About My Favorite Comic Book Series SPAWN Also Todd McFarland Who Created SPAWN Did The Album Cover ❤.
Actually, the album cover art was originally supposed to be the art for Spawn #50. When the plans fell through for IE to record the live action Spawn movie soundtrack, Todd gifted the art to Jon and instead used it as a centerfold pinup for the issue. It's also part of the reason most of the songs on Dark Saga are short in length and not the longer epics we had come to expect from Iced Earth.
Actually the female vocals are Matt's SISTER. Matt's wife, Heather, is Jon Schaffer's sister.

Matt Barlow is one of my favorites male singers in metal music. The other two are Michael Poulsen (Volbeat) and Attila Dorn (Powerwolf). This song is a masterpiece

This is a concept album about the story of Todd MacFarlane's comic book anti-hero Spawn. Yes, that Spawn. He's on the cover of the album you were admiring the art of.
Matt and Ripper on vocals (1995-2008) was definitely my "era" of Iced Earth, which probably coincides with me falling completely off the Iced Earth wagon after and I'm okay with that!
The "Something Wicked Saga" felt like things had been brought to a natural close anyway. It's nice to have *those* things at least, given what has happened, since!

despite political problems, Iced Earth has some really solid songs. Stormrider, Travel in Stygian, Phantom of the Opera Ghost, Burnt Offerings.. Can't go wrong with any of these.

The only person really reacting!! love that guy he really gets it. And Iced Earth Barlow times were absolutelly phainomenal. The live at Athens album is just unique.

You have a great sense of humor "Feeling it? I'm not feeling it either". LMAO! :) As for the song, this is one of Iced Earth's absolute classics. It has held up very well over the years.

To be honest, you should listen to the Alive in Athens versions of any Iced Earth song. He sounds better live. Sad he is no longer the lead singer as he retired to become a cop. 🤦🤷♂️

"Pick a word and it's bound to fit me in some description" you should be more careful there. There's a lot of words we can pick that you wouldn't want in some description.
Iced earth has some amazing songs throughout their career. Matt Barlow (singer here) was Iced Earth's best vocalist by far. My only suggestion would be maybe less analysis in the song and put it at the end. My personal opinion is constant pausing and talking takes away from the experience in their songs. Respectfully
