As a truck driver I am sure glad that someone is still singing these truck driver songs wish more people and groups would these guys just got a few stock points in my book
Hey I'm trying to put a band together to play this kind of music with a psych folk/country-blues edge. What are some other good truck driver songs you'd like to hear?
Greetings from the Emerald Isle of Ireland, love you Charlie, you got do much soul, and love your accoustic playing, fabulous version,of a magical song, Peace and good will,to you and the band🇮🇪🇮🇪
With 16 previous comments stated, I must say that this is one of the special private moments that we will ever get to see. Simply the best band in a long time. Charlie shows all his moves in this one. Excellent video. BBS - Too Country for Rock and Too Much Rock for Country - That my friends is where the Southern Music falls into play. But the heart of Southern Music is the in the Blues, and BBS has it like all the ones before them. - Seen them twice - both times front row in between Charlie and Paul - 2014 Fayetteville, AR then 2014 Springfield, MO - Got Charlie's set list from that one. Truly a GREAT bunch of guys!
REEL DOCTOR NO DOUBT! They are The REAL DEAL! Fixin' to truck on over to Cullman Ala to see them perform for an HOUR at Rock The South. That's how much I dig 'em. Takin' The Grandson with me. I won't take him to a Bar Venue, not just yet :-)
Found these guys on paladia a few years back. I'm an Allman Brothers fan, their music gives me the feeling of "home", so to say. Never did I think another band would do give me that feeling. BBS THANK YOU!!!!! I assure you that live these guys sound just as GOOD, probably BETTER, than studio. Southern Rock lives on! Can't wait to see them again. 🍑🍄🍑🍄🍑🍄🍑
they kick ass and give it all they got every time they play a tune. best band around. been to a lot of their shows and it doesn't get much better than this anywhere ' '
This is one of the best covers I have heard. Clearly, It’s not about the notes - it’s about everything in between. Beautiful. Lowell would approve. God bless. N
I saw these guys open for, I can't remember who. But anyway, it was @ The Sellersville Theater in Sellersville PA, and I thought to myself "How great it is to see some young guys doing some real southern rock (This was many years ago so they were young).
"And I'm still in a whole lot of trouble" Lowell would be proud. This was a wonderful rendition. Thank you. And Thank YOu for the woman filming this for not leaving to pee. I totally dug this.
It took maybe 10 seconds for me to realize the last time i heard this song it was with my beloved Linda R. But i must admitt this cover sounds well. Congrats guys. A southern rock French lover from Normandy.
Cool hand-snare. Great work here folks. Love this song, and this is the first time I've heard your version. Well done folks...Blessings from EdADrummer
You know we love that song Charlie! Come on back to the big Valley, AL sometimes and play it for your distant cousin! I think we've heard this one a million times and still love it!
Lansing, Michigan 4/9/19. Listening to this thinking about a woman I really like, GOD i hope she likes me back...Ghost of Lowell George, Help me out man!!
I think Lowell would love this rendition! I know I do. Some memory I have, I've already commented on this a month ago...gaaaa, I really need to focus, something. lol
Great cover - almost as good as Lowell. Only 2 minor criticisms. 1 - the snare is really annoying. 2 - you need to sing like the sun really comes out when you talk about Mexico. Listen to Lowell do it :-)
I love that song. I drove the back roads so I wouldn't get weighed too in my time.
Great song and great cover by charlie blackberry smoke.
Such a great glimpse of C.Starr greatness. Thanks Brother, after all these years...

Perfect....
Come to scotland
AWESOME FRICKIN SONG!!
BLACKBERRY SMOKE KICKS ASS!!!
Tis 1 sweet intro b row
God bless Little Feat.
could do w/o the snare.....other than that, it's GREAT!
Every gig should require Willin', not Wipe Out!!!
not to shabby lads
keep it 100
0:56 nice
One of my favourite versions, Cajon would have been a much better acoustic sound than the snare, but nearly perfecto!
yeah the snare is a little loud, but its cool how he used it
should have backed away from the mics
Brandon!!!
...godo!!!!!
"I wanna pee so bad but I don't wanna leave." -Friend of videographer.
Abyss always-)
Did she ever get to pee? I need closure!!!
i gotz ta peeeeeee
Fine cover. Warm and rich tribute to the genius of LG. The snare drum, not so much. Brushes, maybe. Snare, no.
Now add Benji Shanks on slide dobro
Loose the snare
Tq
Really nice. Yeah, except for the drum.. 😁
Snare drum played with the thumbs, not good... otherwise really enjoyable if you can tune that out.
Hey. "I been warped by the rain" is the first line. Have a little respect for song writers.
Gregg Allman does a good version
i gotta pee so bad :57
Great cover - almost as good as Lowell. Only 2 minor criticisms. 1 - the snare is really annoying. 2 - you need to sing like the sun really comes out when you talk about Mexico. Listen to Lowell do it :-)
P.S. the singing is beautiful
On 'Willin' lose the snare drum,God that is irritating. I like your acoustic sets.
+David blair Agreed. On other BBS acoustic sets, Brit is playing what they call a Shitar to add some far less offensive percussiony goodness.
yeah..the march feel doesn't work well to say the least.
Yeah, I wish the drummer toned down the dynamics as well. Would have been a lot nicer with a cajon or any other percussion setup with a bass sound.
Benjamin Fisher Just needs three acoustics. One high, one low, and one sweet dreadnought right between.
Amen to that!
