- The Pistons Didn’t Know He Was Going to be This Good…
Not only were they the first prospects in history to make it to the NBA through a private prep program like OverTime Elite. Amen and Ausar were the first twins in NBA history to be selected in the Top 5 of the same draft. An unprecedented phenomenon that has only increased the hype of one of the most iconic draft classes in recent years.
A lot depends on the career of the Thompson twins. Their current performance in the league is the biggest showcase to observe if an outside agency is able to develop talent in a more effective way than traditional means. An industry that could explode over the next few years, and a potentially huge rival to the NCAA. And the truth is that although it is still extremely early to talk about expectations, it seems that Ausar's NBA career could be very… very promising.
In today's video we look at Ausar Thompson and how the Detroit Pistons did not know he was going to be this good?!...Keep watching to see NBA hooper highlights, nba crosscourt, golden hoops, nba top 10,nba today, nba mvp, house of highlights, first take nba,nba news, inside the nba, Ausar Thompson, Amen Thompson, Overtime Elite, Ausar Thompson Highlights, Ausar Thompson Interview, Ausar Thompson MVP, Detroit Pistons, Pistons, Thompson Brothers, Cade Cunningham, Houston Rockets, Ausar Thompson Defense, Ausar Thompson 2 Way Player, Ausar Defensive Player Of The Year, DPOY, Pistons Basketball

Give this man more MINUTES
When we get a pf that can space the floor
He needs to learn how to shoot efficiently
O okay. He’s helped me tremendously in fantasy at the start of this season. 30+ minutes he was averaging 40 fantasy points a night.
@@DetroitEastAlex Sarr will be so perfect for them
@@Mjayss_ he a center
Detroit has to figure out their roster but definitely need ausar!
XLNC 1:19 😂
They just need a couple years to develop
Feel like people don’t talk about his freak athleticism as much😭
Guy is 6’6 with a 7 foot wingspan as well
Both twins have all the tools they need to become a force in the NBA!
If only Monty has a clue and would actually play this kid instead of playing guys who won't even be on the team next year.
Like kevin knox
Facts need hi and Ivey asap
It's like the NBA's version of the NHL's Sedin twins, Henrick and Daniel
No, these boys actually have talent
@@BigJonahJ ok bro
Amen looks like a star.
He's barely played
and still showed why he gon be the better player
@@hubertsumlin9697
@@hubertsumlin9697he is a superstar
Ausar at the 4 would be be exciting fast paced offense next year, get a good 3&D wing.. i love bogey but his defense not good
lets give lavar ball some credit although he fumbled on h is attempt he pathed the way for athletes to get paid and use differnt outlets
Paved the way
No video on Jaime Jaquez
Soon 👌
i don't know mannn, he reminds me a lot of Michael Kidd‑Gilchrist: an elite athlete and defender, but can't shoot at all. At least his shot isn't broken, so there is still hope. But to have Knox starting over you at times, is quite terrible.
I see the comparison, but I don’t recall MKG having the speed and agility that Ausar has. Ausar would thrive in a fast paced offense and MKG just never had that in his game. He was more like a half-court dud who couldn’t shoot
Amen is gonna be a beast too
We think so too!
He was one of the main reason the Pistons broke the NBA losing streak at 28 games. He got great defense but he can’t shoot
He’s like Dante Exum
@@jadynhasstupid2275 Exum had more problems and more injuries. If the kid works hard in the off season, shooting should go up.
Looking at his minutes, they still don’t know
Its crazy how they win one game after losing 28 and videos pop up with shifting opinions 😂
nah ausar been great defensively this whole season
LaVar Ball started it all
it is on Monty to develop Ausar.
Monty has had some good history developing young talent...
Its making me wonder did we the rockets choose the wrong brother? 😢
Nah just gotta develop
The thumbnail is ishowspeed
😂
this man is legit offensive liability what are we talking about?
True, but you can practice offense. It’s up to Monty to develop that. You can’t teach that athleticism and defensive instinct that he has
@@BarouShohei13 blah
@@benduttonhe put up points and you just said “blah” put up some reasons with your biased opinion.
@@DeZenter 8 ppg, 15% 3pt shooter? tell me hes not an offensive liability, defense just dare him to shoot. he's standing beyond the arc for no reason. if you actually watch games he would kill the offensive flow most of the time, doesn't have deep bag too. he's a great ote player but nba player nah
@@DeZenter "he put up points" thats your criteria? i can put up 2 pts too , that automatically means im contributing to my team?
And people say amen is better than ausar😂
Poor guy is stuck on the Pistons
Cunningham moody and Ausar. Golden state doesn’t deserve Moses. I think the pistons need to get moody out of jail. He already won a chip. It’s time for him to cook. Plus cade and Moses use to be teammates.
So much young talent...Wiseman has been off and on also
Kuminga and Moody for Thompson?
Chill, ausar was good before he got injured dude couldn’t score 10 points after he came back until the win. Don’t dick ride
Hes Josh Hart 2.0 just without a 3 point shot
With extra 3 inches in height and longer wingspan too 🦅
And why that stupid coach don't play him
I would trade ausar you can't be shooting under 20% from 3
That’s not his job to do. His job ist defense and that is something he does very good
Casual
As long as he dont shoot the ball. Its awful. Not jokim Noah shooting foul shots bad, but bad.
paul george was similar as a rookie. if they have good work ethic they can learn to shoot
He's got time to work on his shot, all up to the young guy to work on his game.
This bad you mean?
obviously a casual. lol
He has the 4th highest odds in Roy
Can’t be that good , they just loss 28 games in a row , erase this video please
casual
@@electronights3589 where’s the lie ??
I've watched all their games, they are not as bad as the streak shows, and for sure not the worst team ever
@@jakubliska4730it’s sad because they always crumble down the stretch. Multiple times they’ve lead coming into the 4th only to lose. They gotta build around Cade, Duren and Asuar. Develop them properly and they can really be contenders in the east in the next 4-5 years.
lol
