Dad: 😡 Mom: Oh! There you boys are. I've got some nice fresh termites all ready for you. Dad: Termites again?! Mom: Oh ho ho! Feeling braver now are we? Dad: I'll be home late. I got a tunnel to repair. Timon: Was I adopted? Mom: Timon, you two are as different as twilight and dusk. Timon: I'm tired of doing everything his way! Mom: Oh, sweetie, you're almost grown now. And whether your father likes it or not, you'll be making your own way soon. Oh, whatever you do. *sighs* I know you're gonna make me proud. Timon: Do you really think so? Mom: Even Dad. Dad: *grunts* See? It's a jungle out here! Mom: If he lives that long. Timon: Thanks, Mom. Mom: Ohh, don't stay out long.
Why did they think that version of the presentation scene was contradictory? It made way more sense than what they ended up doing, with Pumbaa's fart making everyone bow!
8:02 That would also have been a great scene of how Timon was present at Simba's introduction scene, and much better, because it would have increased his surprise when he discovers that the cub, he had raised with Pumbaa, was the king of the prairies all that time. 4:39 I understood correctly or is that the story of Timon's dad? I'm glad to know what his story was, even though he didn't appears in the movie, because of course now we had to see Timon as "adoptive father", 7:07 I also love this scene between him and his mother, that she will be proud of anything he does.. That's Timon as a child, isn't it? 9:20 This ballad-type version of "That's all I need" really didn't match Timon's personality, I'm glad they reused the melody from the unused song Warthog Rapsody 11:07were they really going to be there too? I don't see anything wrong with it
4:56 Bradley Raymond: And we just felt during this time that we had too many characters; there was a dad and there was a mum... Me:Then why keep Uncle Max and give some of Dad's diologue to him? I'll be surprised Mr Raymond if you know what "too many" is!
They just turned him into the uncle and made his lines a little funnier... fun fact, meercats are actually pretty fierce! THEY EAT SCORPIONS AND FIGHT SNAKES!!! why did they have to portray them as allways scared of everything?
Sounds like Jim Cummings was doing the voice of Rafiki in the first deleted scene when Robert Guillaume was unavailable. However, Robert Guillaume was available to record for the second deleted scene. Heck, he even called Timon and Pumbaa cross-town nuts.
They cut a lot of these scenes for being too complicated? For them or for the audience? Kids are smarter than people give them credit for. I'm SURE the verse about Fearless Buzz and Timon's dad could have been kept in and NO ONE would have been lost. Definitely shows this movie didn't respect its audience as much as the first two did.
I agree. Mostly with Timon's dad. Brad Raymond is silly to use a double meaning saying a dad and mum are too many characters and who do we see in the final film alongside Timon's mum? Uncle Max!! So we're back to the same number of characters. If Timon's mum was Timon's only living family member then it would really live up to what Raymond was saying.
i have a feeling 'too complicated' was code for 'we didnt have the budget', it was a movie made by a lower end disney studio who specialized in cheap sequels, i feel they didnt get the budget they were aiming for
Well they didn’t even say that, and for me when they say things like that it sounds like they are autistic even though they’re not which I think is a bit silly.
In the Fearless Buzz scene, one of the singers sounded an awful lot like Max. O_o In the first scene with Timon's dad, the two narrators said that his lines were transferred to Timon's mom. Didn't they forget to mention someone? Like a certain meerkat known as UNCLE MAX??? Dad's lines were transferred to him too! Why count him out, huh? I do think all the scenes were great. :D
These scenes are very funny and good :-) Shame they all have to be taken out somehow. 😞😞 Wish they could've keep them in the final film. The Lion King film franchise are always the best!

You're gonna have to come up with a better explanation then that!!!
