So Glad you Covered Togo & Balto !!
You really do be ugly crying during Togo. I watched it when it was first released and as soon as is showed flashback I knew I would spend most of the movie crying and I did.
Thanks again, Jon, for bringing us the story behind the story we've heard. I've heard this story about 3 or4 times before, but never from someone who researched and divulged it in such detail. And I so appreciate the your attention to what happened to two of the "important" dogs after the run. Thank you once again for a story behind the story rendition!
Wow! I never knew the true story of Balto and I've never heard of Togo before. This was fascinating! Thank you!
I'm from Alaska originally and grew up hearing these stories, even went to the races. It makes me so happy to know that it earned its place here and that people are truly interested. Great job!
Hey, Jon. Hachiko would be a good dog to cover
Expect it's not really messed up what happened to hachi. Heart breaking yes but not messed up.
I am so happy you made this! I loved the movie so much as a kid. I never knew how epic the real story actually was.
How ironic is it that i'm watching this in the middle of the night when the neighborhood dogs are barking and keeping me awake.
I love Balto but have yet to watch Togo. Thanks for this one, excellent delivery. Also, congrats to you and Lauren. Just saw on Facebook your happy news.
I always knew that not everything was true in the movie but I still love Balto. Even though the sequels sucks. But it's interesting to know the true story. Heart goes out to all those brave men and dogs who saved all those people back then.
I've never seen the movies but I am familiar with the true story of this incredible journey. I appreciate the effort you put into the research and retelling of their tale. Thank you. Big love from Manchester UK xXx
For messed up murders Jon should do Jonbenét Ramsey. Today in class we watched part of a documentary about her, and it was the first time anyone in class had heard about her. I had only ever seen pictures of her in magazines but never really knew who she was. I’m really curious to know who Jon thinks the murderer(s) is/are. Just a thought.
So many kids are killed (unfortunately) every year. I never understood why her case got so much more press.
Her dad def knew something look up body language reader and her name this guy makes RUclips videos
Then there's the crazy conspiracy theory about Katy Perry being her lol.
The brother did it
Please don’t stop ever making these type of videos. I really do enjoy them. Thank you and I truly appreciate your hard work.
5:21 he ain't wrong tho, he ain't wrong.😭💁🏾♀️🐺🐶 This wasn't messed up, this was heroically sweet. I'm glad Togo had SOME acknowledgement and had movies about them.😊
I live near Cleveland and have been to the museum dozens of times and Balto has always been my favorite to see and he is very well loved and praised here.
One of my favorite childhood movies thank you so much for makin this video!!!
They just talked about this at my church, obviously not in that much detail, but with the same kind of message you said at the end of helping each other and taking care of other's needs. Really amazing story.
When the recommended is faster than the notifications
I know right!?
Because it's RUclips they only care about money anything that doesn't look like money isn't nothing, if it can make money then it's worthy of recommendation
XxSxssy QxeenxX lmfao ALWAYS!!
What an excellent nutshell history! Thank you! Leonhard was my maternal grandfather's first cousin, and my parents knew him, although I never got the chance. Togo was always his pride and joy -- the best of the best. He also raised and trained Balto, although he didn't think he was as reliable as Togo.
I love that you're talking about something that happened in Alaska 💕 I've been asking for native stories and you know what? This is good enough -- for now
Balto was one of my favorite movies as a kid. 23 years later, I still enjoy it!
You should do a series on the astrological signs. Those would have messed up origins for sure!
I'm honestly so amazed by this story. I think I might just buy a book and read about it. Thank you for sharing this story!...
It’s the perfect note to end on and one we all need to follow
The first video of 2021. I’m so hyped!!! More love and support to your channel, Jon!!!!
that scene going across the broken ice and water awakened my biggest fear
Way to give my childhood the biggest hug it ever had Jon! 😂 This was an epic MUO Episodes and one of my favorites by far!!! Thanks for sharing man! ☺️
Togo did something absolutely extraordinary, Such a hero ❤️ and so is the other sled dogs for making that run possible 👏 amazing
I agree with you at the end of your video. Stand together not apart helping each other out is way better then separating us
Really fantastic vid on my all time favorite childhood underrated animated movie balto and yeah this was a pretty interesting messed up origin i have ever heard and i still don't care what other people think or say at all i love balto no matter what and it will forever stay in my heart ❤
This is my favorite channel and balto used to be my favorite movie and I have probably seen it 1000+ times throughout my childhood so this was the perfect video
It's amazing how dogs will work so hard for an extra tummy rub
Balto was the movie I borrowed from the library on constant repeat as a kid - so excited for this one!!
I love the Togo movie my dad sisters and I all watched it last year on Christmas!😁
John solo, your mustache is looking good and im glad you keep posting. Thank you. You're an awesome guy.
My grandma is smiling down on you telling Togo’s story! She always got SO pissed whenever we’d bring up the Balto story 😂
I'd just thought about rewatching this movie randomly yesterday and remembered how much I loved it as a kid. And lo and behold! I knew it! Jon is a sorcerer!
Even tho i know that movie “Balto” is not completely true and Togo is the real hero the movie still has a special place in my heart.
Both Balto and Togo are the heroes, not either/or.
@@englishatheart All the teams are heroes. Not just Togo and Balto. But the reason why Togo is a bit more the hero then Balto is bc Togo was already to old and he never suppose to be a sled dog bc he was to small to be one. But he proved himself to be a real sled dog so that’s why he was one. (Srry bad English)
@@LadySamurai88 I feel like attributing the hero title to just one dog is very insulting to every single dog and musher than ran that relay. Togo and Balto were not the only dogs there and there is no singular hero. No one dog is more heroic than the other. They all did their jobs as they were suppose to and saved lives and all deserve equal recognition.
Togo is a *FANTASTIC* movie!!! My hubby and I love it :D I cried ugly tears too.
I went through a Balto faze when I was a kid, still love the movie even though it isn’t accurate at all. When I watched a documentary about what actually happened I was heartbroken to see what happened to Balto after the race. Although I’m glad to see Togo and his master lived long happy lives.
I’m actually from Nome Alaska. A friend of mine grew up in the house that received the first serum. It’s a historical landmark :) thanks for covering this
The story of Togo is taught here in my home state of Alaska as part of our Alaska History classes. I still love the Balto movie but its funny to see peoples reactions when they find out Balto was not the hero.
I remember seeing that movie Balto back in elementary school!
Now I want to know more about Hachi: A Dog's Tale, Call of the Wild nd White Fang, well actually any dog story if it has truth to it. Lassie, Rin tin tin, whatever.
I saw an animated movie about White Fang on Netflix.
I'D LOVE TO SEE AN ORIGINS ON HACHIKO OMG
You missed greyfriars bobby from the list
@@annied1827 It was friars Bobby's day off. j/k but honestly I never heard of it. was there movie? thanks for adding it. but when I say "and whatever" that includes all dogs i missed.
i went to see call of the wild having never read the book and sobbed so hard. I cried the entire 30 minute drive home, too. expected it to be a fun movie about harrison ford and a dog. wrecked me.
The Seppalas are super nice.
I met one when my horses ran away when I lived in Wasilla, AK.
I watched the Togo movie, cried my eyes out 💕
They could literally do an entire series of films covering each leg of the relay... and it would be epic!
Such amazing heroes. Can't imagine how difficult it was to complete this task.
