The smart contract allowed the scammers to prevent people from selling the token. So nobody got out before the scammers, unless they did so really early before the contract parameters were modified.

This is a scary aspect of investing in all these small coins. Big upside potential but just as big of a downside. Scams are always going to happen, in every possible way so I hope people just learn from this and invest smarter.

Shiba is proven to not be a scam, and it's developers are completely open about the fact that they're in it for the long haul and are even creating competition while subsequently actively doing things to make sure the coin succeeds... squid game coin literally just came out and should've never had the confidence put into it with even $0.01 with such a badly written concepts and white papers. This is where you realize that a lot of people who invest into crypto really have no clue what they're actually investing in, and only see it as a money grab, which is NOT what cryptocurrency was created for in the first place.

The dollar is a scam (it’s just a piece of paper not backed by anything tangible) and as the value of the dollar tanks as more governments print money out of thin air, it’ll be a good hedge against inflation and governments as a decentralized currency.
