Nathan could have decided not to reenlist as Mounty bought land built a family home and married E. There I have more creativity than tinker or birdbrain. He loved the land and was a prosperous farmer. She can write about a farming life. Lucas married Fiona, their life was full of having parties , raise a family and watching his emotional cripple mother defrost. I just outlined another season. Will top off with the Joy of Rosemary and Lee’s twins. Boy and girl. And how R figures it all out. Boom! How many would enjoy my story lines?!
After watching the first 3 episodes of season 6 over and over, I saw a connection between Lucas and Fiona. They seemed to really challenge each other in real, healthy ways. I could have definately seen them become both a sweet and sassy couple. I didn't quite see them having parties all of the time, but maybe every so often? They could have also bonded with Jesse and Clara. After all, Lucas and Jesse did make amends in the last Christmas movie. I find it ironic that Nathan bonded with Lee and Bill, while Lucas seemed to bond more with the rest of the ensemble characters. Jack liked everyone, but we could always tell that he was closest to Lee and Bill.
He just doesn’t listen. Like he thinks Team Nathan will come back but most aren’t. It’s sad cause I loved that show but now they ruined it. They say constructive criticism is good but THET DONT LISTEN TO IT. they just say we are being hateful but in reality we are concerned about the direction of the show

Actually, as a marketing professional, I always appreciated comments on both sides. It's not always easy to get people to admit what they like or don't like about a product. Both sides are very helpful in improving the product going forward. It's really never about what the company wants, it's all about what the customer wants. If I got that wrong, it certainly was NEVER acceptable to blame the customer for it. Rather, I would thank him/her, revise the specifics of the product and test to see if we got it right. Because at the end of the day, if the product ain't right, it doesn't sell, the company loses to a competitor, and nobody gets paid.
Mary Beth, Exactly, instead of offering a product that they knew the majority of their customers wanted to buy, they offered us what they wanted to sell. And now it’s the customer’s fault.
Yes, which is why I was shocked to read Brian Bird say „oh so everyone’s allowed to voice their opinion but I’m supposed to stay quiet“ I’m paraphrasing…because he is not a consumer of the product he is making the product so acting like his opinion has the same value as the customers was ridiculous. Im only speaking in the context of buyer/seller in this case, of course people should freely voice their opinions but Bird was trying to make people shut up by acting like what he thinks about the show was the only right way to look at it. And of course TL jumped on that train…at the end of the day though there’s only 2 kind of people whose opinion mattered: Team Lucas and Team Nathan. Now, we’ll see which group makes up more of the audience when we see the ratings for next season
Totally subscribed to that mantra, customer usually are valued esp if majority has opined the show/writing was not satisfactory....but earlier on, few Team Lucas says disregarded or does not believe in the theory, said its the writer or TPTB prerogative!! Huh!?? Well, we will see what S 9 or if the show survives even S 9...more the dig in and ignore fans .business as usual thinking...they may have a surprise next year!!
I know, I would agree with that if the success and longevity of the show didn’t depend on how much the audience likes it. There’s a reason sitcoms like Friends and The Big Bang Theory continued telling entertaining stories: they had a live audience and they listened to their reaction. You’d think they would use social media to its advantage for WCTH but they are in their own little bubble and they feel untouchable. This is not going to end well, it already hasn’t
I am grateful because I have been meeting & talking to the most heartwarming loving loyal family matters people I have ever known. Like minded Christians who envelop themselves in the healthy way we should live lives, honest forthright. I miss all the fun we had talking about "the way the show should go" and the writings of the fans who came up with the most exciting endings.
Honestly, as bad as this season was and as messed up the writing, I could have closed my eyes on all of and still supported the show, however, the disrespect and bullying from Brian Bird, John Tinker, Rhonda Rich, and even Paul Greene was what sealed the deal for me to never watch this show again. Not only will I not support this show but I will not support anything any of these people touch. They showed their true colors.
Paul Greene is probably even a bigger phony than Brian Bird. He will say anything using biblical language to engage with Christian viewers. However, if we listen very carefully to what he says, his views align much more with "Christian" New Age than actual Historical Christianity.

Paul Greene supported the end game and had some not so nice words for T N fans...he totally turned me off by not acknowledging the TN opinion or the storylines that was way off even abt him and Faith...wishy washy scenes. Now he's gone, on new project or to be diplomatic could not say honestly his opinion. After all he is a HM actor/job protection....its Erin K I feel sad in way, her character in S8 and poss S 9 may not recover.

Apologies are meaningful when you need to admit you did something wrong ,and are really sorry for it.Brian Bird will never admit that he and John Tinker did anything wrong, by ignoring the whole story line of Jeanette Okes books and more importantly ignoring what they knew that 70% of the WCTH fan base wanted to happen. The characters Nathan and Lucas are both good at what they do, but Nathan is what Hope Valley is about and he can really draw you into his story.On the other hand Lucas is a rich business man that doesn't even fit the story of Hope Valley,a school teacher and a saloon owner kind of ruined the whole character of the town that we loved watching each week.
Yup! If we summarize it even more broadly: the essence of the show is the rich girl getting together with the frontier guy. Making her get together with the rich guy kills the whole essence. We watched because WCTH was about bringing two unlikely people together…which was explored a lot in S2/3 or so. This was the chance to tell an even more unlikely yet magical story and at the same time give the fans what they were craving for since Jack and Elizabeth were married: the couple living together and leading a happy married life.

I don’t understand how he is still employed. It shows the values of the network. How can they support someone that has been so rude. I understand they were fans that got angry and frustrated and maybe did not use kind words but as a show leader he should have shown more respect. But since he or the network don’t value fans why should we watch the show and support them.
Yes it is unbelievable. So many Hearties got blocked for calling him out, but guess who he still allows on his Twitter page: bullies. This one person was ridiculing Team Nathan fans, deliberately targeting them and making fun of them. He saw that person on every WCTH related tweet yet he didn’t block her…he blocked a fan who told him he should reconsider retweeting criticism of the show instead. How is it Christian or even kind to see people cyber bully other people but let them roam free on your page because if you blocked them they would get mad and you would risk losing even more viewers? I seriously don’t get how Bird is still in charge and still feeling good about himself, but I guess his tweet sums it up: people will distort their beliefs to rationalize their poor choices and live with themselves…
How do I turn this huge mistake around you ask? Well....as E is walking down the isle to Lucas...She hears the sound of a horse coming closer, she stops, turns towards the window and sees Nathan . Her heart is pounding, her thoughts spinning in her mind. Slowly she turns back to look at Lucas who looking hurt and knowingly, she turns and runs out the church and calls after. Nathan. Stop I Love You! I love you...he slows down and stops...cautiously turning afraid of being lied to, pain covers him, she throws down the bouquet, Lucas standing at the top of the church stairs..guest behind him in unbelief at what just happened...N dismounts as E runs once again into his arms. I can-no longer fool myself. I have tried so hard to deny my heart, but as I stood in the isle and saw you ride past I owned the truth. I see my life with you, and Ally. Our life on the farm. You are the husband I want, and the father little Jack needs. Marry me,..here, now.. let’s start out family now. I can write more for us Hearties if you like what you’ve read so far.
At this point if that happened I’d like Nathan to say no thanks 😂😁 it was just such a horrible and meaningless season the only way to fix it for me would be to have Elizabeth wake up from a nightmare and reset after episode 2!
I may well be wrong, but I have never heard of a show receive anything like this amount of backlash from it’s viewers. That fact alone should make the powers that be pause , and at least consider the possibility that they may well have made some mistakes. But instead of taking an honest look in the mirror, they have chosen to become more and more arrogant. They really aren’t very good at damage control are they.
They are too personally attached to WCTH so criticism of their work feels like criticism of their character. They are completely unprofessional about all of this
Look up the show "Arrow," it used to be on the CW. They almost got cancelled for killing off a beloved character, then the fandom revolted and tanked the ratings to the tune of EIGHT SERIES LOWS. The Executive Producer/Showrunner on that show's response was: "The fans of the character we killed off are JUST A SMALL VOCAL MINORITY." He received MORE backlash, ore dropping ratings, and was subsequently FIRED the year after. Now he CAN'T GET ANY OTHER WRITING JOBS. Brian Bird will likely suffer the same fate.
I am grateful for a friend who actually challenges me when I need it. Yes, she does encourage me, but she doesn't just sit idly by and let me wallow in self-pity and frustration. She listens, she shows understanding of where I am coming from, but will challenge me to see what attitudes and mind sets, I need to change. IMO, Elizabeth and Abigail did not have that type of relationship, whereas Rosie at least tried to challenge E and E lashed out, big time then eventually made an apology with muffins in the finale. Personally, I found the muffin touch and E's puppy dog face to be pathetic, but that is just my opinion.
No that's not just your opinion I feel the same way I think Krakow felt like she was being mean person in the show even over the people that had already been on the show just don't think she's decorating actress but then again maybe she is she made us believe in her for awhile
I think Krakow is a really good actress, the best out of the whole cast - but she’s also putting on an act for the fans. I know every actor and celebrity does that to some extent but with her it feels like she’s really set on not letting that nice innocent person facade fade. So i don’t know what to think of her at all
@@thelittlescenes1185 , after a while of watching the show, I thought that the supporting actors were the the best (if we have to rank them that is (except with Kavan and Pascal)). However, I understand that just because one actor is one person's cup of tea, another person might see that actor differently. I wouldn't go as far to say that all actors put on a show for their fans, but many of them do. I just don't see Krakow as being anywhere near as transparent as actors Kevin Sorbo and Kirk Cameron. After learning about hollywood actors in general, I just do not see Krakow, Greene, Bird or many of the other actors (if I am being honest) as being much different than the average actor in hollywood.
That’s interesting, I personally sense a difference between them and the average Hollywood actor, maybe because the average Hollywood actor is actually much more famous than they are, but I also feel like they are more likable for that reason: charisma is what gets you there and I feel like the actors you mentioned don’t yet have the level of charisma Hollywood actors have (of course this differs from actor to actor but I’m talking generally). I think most actors just don’t share every part of their life but still share themselves authentically, I feel like Krakow is definitely not sharing authentically but rather presenting herself as something close to her own character. I don’t get that feeling from other actors? I know a lot of people have said that Kevin is the best actor but I’d have to disagree, in the analyses I did of the big scenes Erin performed outstandingly, even though I didn’t like her character and didn’t like how she acted after the show ended I’d have to admit that. The viewer believed everything she played and she played it well whereas in Chris and Kevin I could see the actor shining through here and there which probably isn’t as noticeable when you’re watching the scene on air but if you put it on repeat you can see that.
I gave that a lot of thought I don't think I"m going to watch her movies either. I tried watching Chris's movie, that one I don't remember the name but I'm sorry I just don't think he is the actor that Kevin is.
Chris is a decent ordinary actor. He is nothing to write home about. He doesn’t have the range that Kevin has. Sometimes Kevin doesn’t even have to utter a line his eyes and facial expressions say it all. Maybe that’s the problem a certain actress (and we know who I mean) may not like. that she isn’t the center of attention in their scenes together.

@@mgetsit1184 We don’t know exactly what drove the decision to have Lucas be Elizabeth’s choice and we don’t know yet how it will all shake out, but the fact that Nathan wasn’t chosen coupled with BB saying there will be sparks between Nathan and Faith (not what TN is hoping for) makes it almost a certainty that Nathan’s status on the show will diminish somewhat. The show went out on a limb by going against the wishes of the majority of their fan base, so It is hard to believe they would also do it against the wishes of Erin as an executive producer and heroine of the show. We do know this much, Kevin and Team Nathan were not well represented when decisions were being made. Without direct knowledge of what went on behind the scenes all we can do is give it our best guess. My opinion is that Erin at the very least gave the decision her tacit approval and possibly actively supported it. I fully understand that I could be wrong, but that’s what I believe.

Yes, everyone who told him he should not be retweeting fans Tweets because those fans got attacked by TL….he blocked. He never blocked the bullies that were TL and Team Elizabeth, only the People who told him to apologize and then shut up because he wasn’t helping anyone with those tweets. It is definitely bad damage control - that’s why he didn’t block any mean TL fans. He needs his denial army so that he can make all the people speaking up look like crazy overreacting haters and that way he won’t lose the viewers that are still undecided about whether to continue watching or not. And that way no one will make the rest of the fans Pause and reconsider…it’s all part of his strategy. Come up with some sort of excuse for every piece of criticism, invalidate it so he doesn’t lose more fans.

Found some nourishing entertainment by starting "Once upon a time" from the beginning. And I'm going to watch it till the end where Regina finds her happy ending😃 they were able to tell a whole story although facing different circumstances till the "Happy ending".🌸💟🌻

It’s not even about an old fashioned definition of love, literally every new and modern movie would have come up with a better story than WCTH did! It’s just a good love story period. Old fashioned or not. Lucas and Elizabeth doesn’t fit that category. Love triangles only work when you have a plan for them….or if you don’t have one, at least go with the guy that most viewers WANT the main lead to end up with.

You all are being judgemental and unreasonable. This show is about unconditional love which is what they give to each other on and off screen. Paul Greene supported the end game and had some not so nice words for T N fans...he totally turned me off by not acknowledging the TN opinion or the storylines that was way off even abt him and Faith...wishy washy scenes. Now he's gone, on new project or to be diplomatic could not say honestly his opinion. After all he is a HM actor/job protection....its Erin K I feel sad in way, her character in S8 and poss S 9 may not recover.
Will unsubscribe from Paul Greene podcast, his interviews, musical concert on Fridays ...sounds great before all these, now I dont really feel they appreciate their fans...time will tell..

Apologies are meaningful when you need to admit you did something wrong ,and are really sorry for it.Brian Bird will never admit that he and John Tinker did anything wrong, by ignoring the whole story line of Jeanette Okes books and more importantly ignoring what they knew that 70% of the WCTH fan base wanted to happen. The characters Nathan and Lucas are both good at what they do, but Nathan is what Hope Valley is about and he can really draw you into his story.On the other hand Lucas is a rich business man that doesn't even fit the story of Hope Valley,a school teacher and a saloon owner kind of ruined the whole character of the town that we loved watching each week.
Yup! If we summarize it even more broadly: the essence of the show is the rich girl getting together with the frontier guy. Making her get together with the rich guy kills the whole essence. We watched because WCTH was about bringing two unlikely people together…which was explored a lot in S2/3 or so. This was the chance to tell an even more unlikely yet magical story and at the same time give the fans what they were craving for since Jack and Elizabeth were married: the couple living together and leading a happy married life.

I don’t understand how he is still employed. It shows the values of the network. How can they support someone that has been so rude. I understand they were fans that got angry and frustrated and maybe did not use kind words but as a show leader he should have shown more respect. But since he or the network don’t value fans why should we watch the show and support them.
Yes it is unbelievable. So many Hearties got blocked for calling him out, but guess who he still allows on his Twitter page: bullies. This one person was ridiculing Team Nathan fans, deliberately targeting them and making fun of them. He saw that person on every WCTH related tweet yet he didn’t block her…he blocked a fan who told him he should reconsider retweeting criticism of the show instead.
How is it Christian or even kind to see people cyber bully other people but let them roam free on your page because if you blocked them they would get mad and you would risk losing even more viewers? I seriously don’t get how Bird is still in charge and still feeling good about himself, but I guess his tweet sums it up: people will distort their beliefs to rationalize their poor choices and live with themselves…

It’s so obvious that Brian bird was not the right fit for WCTH. He should take his humble self righteous self and fly away to another show.
How do I turn this huge mistake around you ask? Well....as E is walking down the isle to Lucas...She hears the sound of a horse coming closer, she stops, turns towards the window and sees Nathan . Her heart is pounding, her thoughts spinning in her mind. Slowly she turns back to look at Lucas who looking hurt and knowingly, she turns and runs out the church and calls after. Nathan. Stop I Love You! I love you...he slows down and stops...cautiously turning afraid of being lied to, pain covers him, she throws down the bouquet, Lucas standing at the top of the church stairs..guest behind him in unbelief at what just happened...N dismounts as E runs once again into his arms. I can-no longer fool myself. I have tried so hard to deny my heart, but as I stood in the isle and saw you ride past I owned the truth. I see my life with you, and Ally. Our life on the farm. You are the husband I want, and the father little Jack needs. Marry me,..here, now.. let’s start out family now. I can write more for us Hearties if you like what you’ve read so far.

I may well be wrong, but I have never heard of a show receive anything like this amount of backlash from it’s viewers. That fact alone should make the powers that be pause , and at least consider the possibility that they may well have made some mistakes. But instead of taking an honest look in the mirror, they have chosen to become more and more arrogant. They really aren’t very good at damage control are they.
They are too personally attached to WCTH so criticism of their work feels like criticism of their character. They are completely unprofessional about all of this

Look up the show "Arrow," it used to be on the CW. They almost got cancelled for killing off a beloved character, then the fandom revolted and tanked the ratings to the tune of EIGHT SERIES LOWS. The Executive Producer/Showrunner on that show's response was: "The fans of the character we killed off are JUST A SMALL VOCAL MINORITY." He received MORE backlash, ore dropping ratings, and was subsequently FIRED the year after. Now he CAN'T GET ANY OTHER WRITING JOBS. Brian Bird will likely suffer the same fate.

I am grateful for a friend who actually challenges me when I need it. Yes, she does encourage me, but she doesn't just sit idly by and let me wallow in self-pity and frustration. She listens, she shows understanding of where I am coming from, but will challenge me to see what attitudes and mind sets, I need to change. IMO, Elizabeth and Abigail did not have that type of relationship, whereas Rosie at least tried to challenge E and E lashed out, big time then eventually made an apology with muffins in the finale. Personally, I found the muffin touch and E's puppy dog face to be pathetic, but that is just my opinion.
No that's not just your opinion I feel the same way I think Krakow felt like she was being mean person in the show even over the people that had already been on the show just don't think she's decorating actress but then again maybe she is she made us believe in her for awhile

I think Krakow is a really good actress, the best out of the whole cast - but she’s also putting on an act for the fans. I know every actor and celebrity does that to some extent but with her it feels like she’s really set on not letting that nice innocent person facade fade. So i don’t know what to think of her at all
@@thelittlescenes1185 , after a while of watching the show, I thought that the supporting actors were the the best (if we have to rank them that is (except with Kavan and Pascal)). However, I understand that just because one actor is one person's cup of tea, another person might see that actor differently. I wouldn't go as far to say that all actors put on a show for their fans, but many of them do. I just don't see Krakow as being anywhere near as transparent as actors Kevin Sorbo and Kirk Cameron. After learning about hollywood actors in general, I just do not see Krakow, Greene, Bird or many of the other actors (if I am being honest) as being much different than the average actor in hollywood.
That’s interesting, I personally sense a difference between them and the average Hollywood actor, maybe because the average Hollywood actor is actually much more famous than they are, but I also feel like they are more likable for that reason: charisma is what gets you there and I feel like the actors you mentioned don’t yet have the level of charisma Hollywood actors have (of course this differs from actor to actor but I’m talking generally). I think most actors just don’t share every part of their life but still share themselves authentically, I feel like Krakow is definitely not sharing authentically but rather presenting herself as something close to her own character. I don’t get that feeling from other actors?
I know a lot of people have said that Kevin is the best actor but I’d have to disagree, in the analyses I did of the big scenes Erin performed outstandingly, even though I didn’t like her character and didn’t like how she acted after the show ended I’d have to admit that. The viewer believed everything she played and she played it well whereas in Chris and Kevin I could see the actor shining through here and there which probably isn’t as noticeable when you’re watching the scene on air but if you put it on repeat you can see that.
I just do not see how bird and Tinker can correct the mess they made of this show I will never watch again any of krakow's movies either
I gave that a lot of thought I don't think I"m going to watch her movies either. I tried watching Chris's movie, that one I don't remember the name but I'm sorry I just don't think he is the actor that Kevin is.
Chris is a decent ordinary actor. He is nothing to write home about. He doesn’t have the range that Kevin has. Sometimes Kevin doesn’t even have to utter a line his eyes and facial expressions say it all. Maybe that’s the problem a certain actress (and we know who I mean) may not like. that she isn’t the center of attention in their scenes together.

I know she's an Exec Producer, but she's contractually obligated to support the show regardless and who knows if she herself supported this outcome? Am I missing something?
@@mgetsit1184 We don’t know exactly what drove the decision to have Lucas be Elizabeth’s choice and we don’t know yet how it will all shake out, but the fact that Nathan wasn’t chosen coupled with BB saying there will be sparks between Nathan and Faith (not what TN is hoping for) makes it almost a certainty that Nathan’s status on the show will diminish somewhat. The show went out on a limb by going against the wishes of the majority of their fan base, so It is hard to believe they would also do it against the wishes of Erin as an executive producer and heroine of the show. We do know this much, Kevin and Team Nathan were not well represented when decisions were being made. Without direct knowledge of what went on behind the scenes all we can do is give it our best guess. My opinion is that Erin at the very least gave the decision her tacit approval and possibly actively supported it. I fully understand that I could be wrong, but that’s what I believe.

Yes, everyone who told him he should not be retweeting fans Tweets because those fans got attacked by TL….he blocked. He never blocked the bullies that were TL and Team Elizabeth, only the People who told him to apologize and then shut up because he wasn’t helping anyone with those tweets.
It is definitely bad damage control - that’s why he didn’t block any mean TL fans. He needs his denial army so that he can make all the people speaking up look like crazy overreacting haters and that way he won’t lose the viewers that are still undecided about whether to continue watching or not. And that way no one will make the rest of the fans Pause and reconsider…it’s all part of his strategy.
Come up with some sort of excuse for every piece of criticism, invalidate it so he doesn’t lose more fans.

Found some nourishing entertainment by starting "Once upon a time" from the beginning. And I'm going to watch it till the end where Regina finds her happy ending😃 they were able to tell a whole story although facing different circumstances till the "Happy ending".🌸💟🌻

It’s not even about an old fashioned definition of love, literally every new and modern movie would have come up with a better story than WCTH did! It’s just a good love story period. Old fashioned or not. Lucas and Elizabeth doesn’t fit that category.
Love triangles only work when you have a plan for them….or if you don’t have one, at least go with the guy that most viewers WANT the main lead to end up with.

You all are being judgemental and unreasonable. This show is about unconditional love which is what they give to each other on and off screen. Yet you talk like their inconsiderate jerks who have no respect for the story. I know that it is not worth being so worked up over. They are trying to give these old-fashioned yet realistic storylines a lot of thought and consideration. Please stop and think about what you're saying and ask yourselves " What would Jesus do?" After all this is supposed to be a wholehearted c christian fanbase to match the show's community. I still have mixed feelings about how it ended.
