- After last weekends 5v5 card featuring Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang, Daniel Dubois and Filip Hrgović it has resulted in the question of what is next for the heavyweight division. We look at how these results play into potential match ups with fighters such as Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker, while also looking at how the Fury Usyk rematch could also shape the heavyweight landscape.
I think Dubois is gonna be a big name in the next era. He's so young and has already fought a few big names
Yeah... but he's slow and has no punch.
@@kuschelwuscheIfor now, he’s got plenty of time if he’s willing to put in the work
@@kuschelwuscheI he has no punch ? 21 wins, 20 KO ... Please learn boxing
Unfortunately he's too young in the mind to ever get to any top level but Brits do a great job of hyping him like they do every other B and C level British fighters 💯
I don't know man. The other day against Hrgovic he literally had no answer for that simple right hand, he ate like 20 of them , if you do that against a good hitter You are dead. He has a heart surely tho
Zhang vs AJ
Dubois vs Parker
Hyrgovic vs Anderson
All 1 card
That would be fire
Zhang vs joshua is the fight to make
I agree. The Dubois fight ain’t going anywhere, they can always do that in a year or two. Zhang is old so time is short, that would be a massive statement win for Joshua given the hurt Zhang has put on Joyce, Wilder, Parker and Hrgovic. He obviously didn’t win all of those but he was a dangerous bastard even in the fights he lost against high level opposition
@@samwarrilow2881 absolutely, zhang is dangerous but let’s not forget what aj did ngannou, i know he’s not a boxer but his chin cannot be questioned, undefeated in ufc, champion, took a mean hook from fury and didn’t wobble, aj got more power then I thought if he can make him drop like that
Dublis vs Parker
Joshua vs Zhang
Dubois could be a big name once the Usyks, Fury’s and Joshua’s of the game retire but he needs to pull back on the dirty fighting. Low blows and headbutts are what come to mind when you think of Dubois and it’s needless.
Pretty confident that usyk will retire after the rematch given that he has said in the past he was going to defend the belts once
Never mind he’s seriously considering becoming 2 time cruiser undisputed champ 💀💀💀
@@Petro250i see him doing it if the champs dont duck him and wait till hes 40
While the best money spinning fight is Dubois vs Joshua at Wembley, I can also see that there may be some hesitation in the Warren camp to put Dubois in such a dangerous fight when he is so close to challenging for the full title. Also, while these cards have been brilliant in bringing these names together, we haven’t seen the matchups we would like, often times with the matches being promised at a later date (see: Joshua vs. Wilder being promised for the next card but then it falls apart).
I can also imagine a world where Joshua goes the WBC route and fights Kabayel for the Silver/Interim WBC belt. Joshua’s never held a WBC title so there’s that allure, and Kabayel is seemingly less dangerous than a fired up, confident Dubois. The Saudis may also favor this route, given Kabayel being a Muslim. The treatment and recognition that His Excellency showed to Zinad after getting destroyed by Bivol shows that they may well favor certain fighters and Kabayel comprehensively taking out AJ would be a coup for the Saudis.
I can also realistically see a Dubois vs. Zhang outing only because it would keep the money in-house with Queensberry. Or Dubois vs Parker to help line up mandatories and make the winner a double mandatory for the WBO and IBF.
There’s also the way out of left field possibility that Zhang, Parker, Dubois, or even Joshua can fight the absurd WBA Regular Champion Mahmoud Charr to get the WBA mandatory. I’m only half joking, but this being boxing, crazier things have happened, and it is probably the lowest hanging fruit to get a mandatory shot.
This being boxing, politics will always be involved with the heavyweights.
That said, my favorite fight of the night was Nick Ball vs. Raymond Ford. Ball is an inexhaustible engine. If he can get more accuracy to go with the volume, that man will quickly unify the division.
I think the mandatory challengers shouldn't be dismissed. These guys fought tooth and nail to get there. Nobody went 4-0 in their backyard and suddenly became the mandatory challenger. They are exceptionally good boxers. If anything, situations where promoters hyped up fighters like Wilder devalued the belts as they fail to win anyone of the other top 10 fighters. We can't complain about "no new stars" but go "hey, not the mandatories... that would be so boring!" every time new fights are proposed.
I completely agree, I don't wanna see UsykvsFury 3 or UsykvsJoshua 3. I wanna see these three matched up with the next three, the new stars. For example, Fury v Zhang, Joshua v Dubois, and Usyk v Parker. Giant vs Giant, Bodybuilder vs Bodybuilder, Tactician vs Tactician.
Parker should be the guy to fight Usyk. And I would rather see Joshua-Zhang.
Yes he would be the only opponent I would want to see. If Usyk wins the Fury rematch and then defeats Parker then he’s beaten the top 3 guys in this era. You can’t argue with that
I think Wilder just got exposed Fury, parker and zhang are the best Wilder fought and lost to all of them. The only good contender Wilder won against was Luiz Ortiz.
Old Ortiz LOL
Yeah and Ortiz only good by the eye test against mediocre opposition. Did nothing before or since the Wilder fight, crazy that he is cited as Wilder’s best win
Common cloister W
classic krakendoom w
There’s still plenty of fights that can happen
AJ vs Dubios/Hrgovic/Zhang
Yep I'd rather AJ being kept active with these fight rather than wait for an eternity for the big one
Man I gotta see AJ vs Zhang
@@sonang7721 I'd rather see AJ vs Joe parker 2 at least you know Parker's not going to quit like Dubois is known to do. 💯
I'd like to see AJ vs. Zhang next, given how Zhang, at age 41, likely does not have too many more fights left in him.
I don’t think Hrgovic even deserves a shot against AJ

Great Vids .. keep it up
Let’s make a round robin championship… 10 fighters over 4 weeks all out brawl
I can’t believe we never got to see Wilder vs AJ. Smh I’ve been wanting to see that fight for almost 10 years and they could’ve made incredible money. Marinating fights was a dumb meme
for sure ! They could made 30-50 millions each, + a rematch... Crazy
Only one of them was trying to marinate it. The other was calling everyone in England to make that fight in 2017- 2018 💯
@@pdubhnic Yeah but the offers were only going one direction and they weren’t coming from America. Whether or not Wilder’s reasons for turning down the offers were valid, you can’t deny that that was the direction of travel.
@@samwarrilow2881 Def not denying it but I am taking into account the public call out Wilder did with no response from AJ and the curious case of AJ banning Wilder from confronting him in the ring at Wembley after his Parker fight 2018.
Wasn't hard to tell who wasn't trying to fight but I digress. It's a shame they both missed out on the opportunity to go undisputed. 💯
@@pdubhnic Let’s agree to disagree. Joshua was the cash cow in the division, everyone was calling him out yet Joshua was the one making the offers to opponents. It’s all well and good making noise but then refusing every offer. And I remember the thing about the supposed ban entering the ring and from memory that was largely a load of nonsense, all that was said was that we won’t promise that you can enter the ring. Wilder was trying to grow his profile and Joshua’s team were hesitant to let him piggyback off Joshua’s success whilst no contract to fight was in place. Wilder then didn’t bother going to the event without that guarantee
There are so many good potential match up’s that could happen and will probably happen
good upcoming aussie boxing channel. keep it up
Thank u bro!
i want to see parker vs aj, without a dodgy ref this time
The current best heavy weight are: Usyk, Fury, AJ, Zhang, Parker, Dubois. Unless there is a Dark Horse, the next big fights will be between them.
1-If Usyk win vs Fury and AJ beats his next opponent, Fury will fight AJ next to decide No. 2. Meanwhile, if Fury win, a third fight is bound to happen.
2- If Usyk completely defeat Fury and is still hunger. He could test Zhang, Dubois or Parker next, until he beats all the best heavy weights and no one can complain. A rematch with AJ could also happen, but probably not in the next 2 years.
2- AJ will fight Zhang or Dubois next, if AJ win, his next opponent will likely be Fury regardless of the results between Fury and Usyk. If Zhang or Dubios win, their next opponent would be Parker then Fury and Usyk if they beat Parker.
3- Park will need to beat Zhang and/or Dubois to get a shot with Fury and Ulysk. A rematch with AJ could also happen.
Fights i want to see
Joshua vs parker 2, zhang, dubois, fury
Parker vs usyk, Joshua 2, zhang 2, whyte 2, joyce 2, ruiz 2
Zhang vs Joshua, fury, parker 2, bakole, usyk
Dubois vs Joshua, joyce 2, ajagba, makhmudov
Usyk vs Parker, fury 2, zhang, ruiz
Fury vs Joshua, usyk 2, zhang, ruiz
Kabayel vs ruiz, bakole, zhang, parker
Wilder vs joyce, ngannou, joshua, ruiz
Itauma vs huni
Miller vs chisora, whyte, wilder, anderson
Ruiz vs kabayel, parker 2, fury, zhang
I’m still sad wilder didn’t fight AJ instead.
lol wilder would’ve been folded in 1 round
Lol dude is lucky he was reigning over the time when skilled boxer wasn't fighting
I agree. It would have been a good solid win for AJ.
thanks for not being an ai voice
Dubois and Anderson are the future, unless some unknown arises. People look down on Anderson because he was rocked 2 fights ago ,but 1 year ago every body was down on Dubois and look how he turned it around.
I hope Joshua fights Zhang, I’m so uninterested in seeing him fight Dubois
The Saudis and British boxing hierarchy seem to be working together. I love the fights but I am beginning to turn off on several aspects I have noticed. Fury was Knocked out and saved by a ref who was their to do anything he could to help Fury, along with a paid for Canadian judge and terribly biased announcers. Then after Joshua, who is his Excellent jock sniffers other mancrush, damn near sits on his lap during fights. They have Joshua fight a novice and act like he deserves a title shot based on that crap. Turki leaped from his seat when hrgovic was behind and then the ref n dr stopped the fight Dubois was rocked by Hrgovic and the ref walked in and stopped the action, walked Dubois to a corner and then slowly began telling Hrgovic not to push his head down. Knowing a Dubois win could salvage what was lost in Furys defeat which would be a massive title fight between two brits and a stadium full of cash. Did he get the refs attention? I would not be aurprised, Hrgovic was hurt but I didb't think they would stop it. Fury was in alot worse shape. They are trying to sell Joshua vs Dubois now at Wembly in a massive lymie/hooligan wet dream fight for a title and a next up for what should be Usyks second win over Fury. Usyk has to fight his opponents but all these other issues, bias refs, bias judges and horribly bias announcing. He has beaten Joshua twice handily sending him into a cringe worthy 30 minute diatribe that sounded like a 12 yr old girl on her period. He made Dubois quit, flat out take a knee and quit, only to listen to an eruption of stupidy that Dubois was robbed by not getting credit for a nut shot victory. Fury was knocked out in the 9th. The ref panicked and was literally running into Usyk as Usyk was chasing the giant obnoxious bully around the ring for a K.O. win until jumping in and stopping the fight....for enough time as to get Fury out of danger. Why should Fury, Joshua and Dubois be getting their 2nd and 3rd tries when deserving fighters like Kabayel, Zhang and Parker never get the call?
*If anyone thinks that Usyk will retire - you are wrong. Boxing is his life. Money is just a nice bonus. He will fight until his health will allow him and if you look to his history it can last long.*
Usyk vs Zhang is needed, I need to see if Usyk can take zhang’s brain surgeon bangs to the body
British vs. British probably one of the few evente that can outweigh saudi money
I don’t think wilder lost his power Zhang just had a good chin
Nah I just don’t think Wilder has lasting power like zhang or foreman.
He did ko helenius before fighting Parker and Zhang
No, Wilder was just always bad
deontay rlly gotta retire
Fury rematch, 1 title defense then retire
I would enjoy seeing DD getting his ass kicked by AJ
Give wilder a bum or 2 to retire with some ego intact
At the moment he doesn't look like he can beat even bums, really
Naw, Wilder just needs to retire. He just doesn't have it anymore.
Id still watch wilder vs ruiz or wilder vs chisora
Ruiz eats him alive 😂
