Glad to hear your wrist has settled. Just road my bike for the 2nd time this spring and an old thumb/wrist injury reared its ugly head. Hoping it won't be too bad when I start my kayaking season next week. Old injuries sometimes haunt us periodically thereafter. I have a collection of supports and bands to pick through so I can stay active. I also use an angled board for downward dog and planks which really helps. We do what we gotta do. Your fruity balloon sleeve cardigan turned out fantastic! It's the perfect pop over for your collection of puff sleeved tops. Looking forward to the next installment on your MeMade journey. Have a great Birthday holiday🎉
Thank you so much, Nancy! An angled board is a really clever adaptation for yoga. I think it's so important to be realistic with our bodies, where they are today. And yes, those old injuries are a bugger!! You get to the point where you actually forget about them and they rear their ugly head. Also hoping that things settle for you before kayaking season. That sounds really fun and great for you, as a bonus. Wishing you a wonderful spring and summer!
Thank you so much, Tammy! I probably have pushed myself too hard, but sometimes that's what we have to do in order to recognize our limits. We do the best we can!
Thanks for sharing. I’ve been itching to sew, but decided to sell my home and have been wasting time painting, buying an HVAC system, and installing new floors instead of making new clothes.
Isn't it crazy how much we do to make a place nicer to sell it? Why don't we do that when we're living there so that we can enjoy it! 😂 My parents just did the same. I hope you get a good price and enjoy making your new house a home. Also hoping for a serious lack of drama. Moving can be tough. You'll enjoy the sewing all the more when you get time for it again!
Oh yuuummm! Your chai looks delicious! Your makes are all so great! I wonder if you could wear your raspberry circle vest with your raspberry skirt? Good job you on your list! So glad to hear you are making progress on your wrist. Glad to hear you are getting a rest for it, I hope it continues to get better.
Just discovered your channel and love it. Funny that this is one of the first I’ve watched. I’m having exactly the same ulnar nerve issues. It’s been well over a year….glad to hear it improves
Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear that. I've been having a more frustrating week with my ulnar nerve, but it's never a clear upward trajectory. These things take time. I hope that your body heals. ❤️
Beautiful makes. I think I love your vest most. BTW bath maths - usually tesco has them at least here in Ireland. We don't have one because both our bathrooms are small enough that regular big bathmat reaches area where toilet is.
I love your version. I’ve never seen one on sale that looked half as good. Usually seem to be a plain colour loop fabric of a poor quality material. And I loved the inventiveness.
I love the makes! Lol about the Circa 2022 label. I was just going through my label stash and noticed that I have 2 of those left! I was thinking of embroidering a big "4" onto them, but you've inspired me to just use them and move on with my life. 😅
All your makes turned out great! I've been eyeing the La Brea tee for a while and I think I need to get it. I'm definitely going to try the chai recipe too! I never did comment or dm at the beginning of the year, but I would love to see you do a 10 x10 challenge and would participate here or on Instagram
I'm not going to steer you away from the La Brea. It's such a workhorse for me. I hope it works out for you, too. And I'm going to start putting some videos out later this year about a 10x10 wardrobe challenge. I'm planning to start on the 10th of October because it's too cute not to. 😉
Do you use the splints at night when you have some soreness now, Theresa? Your quilted vest is delightful, and I'm so pleased that you were able to recut the top you'd made from the lovely floral/white fabric to make something you love! Is your Harper Cardigan knit a persimmon design? We have small persimmons here in the Ozarks. Enjoyed your video. - Kelly
Fortunately, the wrist hasn't been bad enough to require the splint again. I'm grateful for that because it really lowered my sleep quality. Good question about the persimmons. I assumed they were oranges, which is how the fabric is listed on the website. They don't have so much green on top, though, so you're making me rethink it. Whatever the fruit, I love the fabric. 😉
Happy birthday for next week! Have a wonderful time in Rye. I hope the good weather holds for you. 25th time's the charm, hey? Thrilled to hear you've perfected your chai, and I'm in awe of how systemic your approach to the challenge was. I definitely have more of a sweet tooth than you; it has to be refined white sugar, and it has to be quite a lot 😄 Great month of makes! How lucky to have the perfect weather for your raspberry set right now, too.
Thank you so much, Chloe! I filmed this last week but have had the best birthday week this week. Merchant and Mills did not disappoint!! And I have a super sweet tooth, just less in drinks. I like to balance it with the sweet treats I'm having with my chai. 😉
How sweet. Thank you so much! I took Sewing 101 in High School when I was 16. That taught me the basics of using a machine, following a pattern, etc. The rest has come from experience, with lots of mistakes along the way. I've been sewing now for over 25 years. It's all about practice!
Love your makes this month Theresa, and really glad to hear your hand/ wrist are getting better. Have a lovely week off!
Thank you so much! The weather has been amazing. It's been a fantastic week!
Great that your wrist is well on the mend!!! I just love that Harper! And big yes for your chai!!!
Thanks, Rachael! I love being able to whip up the perfect chai without thinking about it. Living the dream! 😂

I like your brain. You are clever at figuring things out.
Well, thank you! It's satisfying when it works out! (It doesn't always. 😉)
Great makes! Love those fabrics from the Stitch Festival you used - the knit-looking cardigan and the vest are adorable!
I did so well at the Stitch Festival! I was not going to sit on those projects.
I don’t like a cuff at the hem so I love your version - great call on the pockets! It looks great!
I really am happy with how it turned out. I think I would have regretted the cuff at the hem. Sometimes things work out just how they should. 😉
lovely makes, especially loved the cardigan and the waistcoat. Great to see you so happy with them. Enjoy your break.
They are both really fun ones to wear. The Stitch Festival was good to me this year!
Love your sinclair x when I made mine I cut the band twice the width and it make a shawl type collar ❤
That's a really lovely idea. I might try that for another version!
So pleased your wrist is getting better - take it easy, and have a fabulous birthday break! 🥂
Thank you so much! It's been a very indulgent and very relaxing week. I'm excited to share next month!
You put out the best videos!! I'm glad you're trying to be careful as you heal.
Thank you so much, Tammy! I probably have pushed myself too hard, but sometimes that's what we have to do in order to recognize our limits. We do the best we can!
Congrats on the chai!
💃💃💃😁

Thank you so much! 💞
Bring on the chai! I will be trying this soon,
It's got star anise, so it might not be your blend. Our tastes are so unique. Let me know what you think, though!
Oh yuuummm! Your chai looks delicious!

Good job you on your list! So glad to hear you are making progress on your wrist. Glad to hear you are getting a rest for it, I hope it continues to get better.
I absolutely need to try that vest/skirt combo! I've got another vest with a similar pink that would also be great. Fun options to experiment with!

Ahh, well it's too late for me. Super happy with my DIY solution, though!

I love the makes! Lol about the Circa 2022 label. I was just going through my label stash and noticed that I have 2 of those left! I was thinking of embroidering a big "4" onto them, but you've inspired me to just use them and move on with my life. 😅
Haha, embroidering over them is a funny idea. But absolutely. It's still circa 2022. I say go for it!!! 😂
Beautiful pieces ❤
Thank you! There's a lot of joy in these makes.
Super makes! Have a wonderful Birthday and a super trip!😊
Thank you so much, Debs! Merchant and Mills was divine. I think I'll have to make a video just about that!
@@LostMyThread Ooo yes please, definitely on my list of places to go to!
Happy birthday!!!
Yay! Thanks! ❤️

Lovely makes, I loved your vest!
Be careful with the bath mat, socks, wake up from sleep and slippering tiles😵🤕😣
Thank you! The bath mat is actually non-slippy on the bottom, so it doesn't really slide around. I appreciate your concern for me, though! ❤️
Happy birthday for next week! Have a wonderful time in Rye. I hope the good weather holds for you.

@LostMyThread Brilliant weather for your birthday week, then, you lucky thing.
It's a beautiful shop, isn't it? Can't wait to see what you got.
U r an amazing seamstress. Did u go to sewing school? 😊
