Some great ideas Valerie. The bustier is going to be interesting! Loved the Mood fabric & the jumpsuit you're wearing too 👍 Can't wait to see what you make
Another great video! Your inspiration process is so logical and produced great finds. I especially love the quilted sweatshirt look. You’ve inspired me to give that one a try!
So fun to find your channel Valerie. Another thing I love about Sew Frugal whichever year. Love the quilted sleeves on the hoodie idea and love that you chose Anthropology for your inspiration. Can't wait to see what you make. I have probably close to 100 free patterns from watching Sew Frugal over the past three years. xx Karen
You did some excellent research and planning on this video! Absolutely fabulous!! I love the fabric you've chosen to be the bat wing top. Perfect pairing!
I have 2 pairs of sweatpants that don't fit that I have been brainstorming on how to make into a jumper or dress. I don't want to buy more fabric but the idea of incorporating quilted fabric is the perfect solution. I love Anthropology too.
Hi Valerie, I have found your channel through sew frugal and just love your infectious happy personality! So obviously subscribed 😄Thanks for sharing some lovely ideas, I really liked the jumpsuit and hoodie suggestion. Happy sewing xx
Love this approach for picking patterns, rather than diving into the sea of free patterns with no direction and getting overwhelmed 😵💫 Your picks are all fabulous, can't go wrong with whichever you choose to do first! 🤩
I’m new to your channel and discovered you because I am a great fan of sew frugal ( 👍👍to Sam and Ruan ) ….this year I’m definitely going to enter ! Thankyou for your style inspirations and patterns ❤
Great vlog Valerie! I’m really excited for this sewing challenge and shopping my stash. I hope you make the Mood blouse with the beautiful Mood fabric! 💚💛🤎
All you pick a free patterns and your stash fabrics are gorgeous. It is hard to pick one because all patterns and styles are cute. I can't wait to see your makes. Well done Valerie. Thank you for sharing.❤❤
It’s very awesome to be introduced to your channel through #sewfrugal! I like your taste, and thanks for walking us through your inspiration process. Btw, jealous that you’ve got olive green double gauze in your stash 🤤
So nice to be introduced to your channel Valerie. I love all your Sew Frugal Anthropologie-esque pattern picks and think they'll all look great! I'm excited to try out both the jumpsuit patterns. Thanks for all the fab ideas!
Love this idea! Often it seems like it's the fabric designs that make the brands distinctive - there's only so many base garment shapes that seem to be used
My first Sew Frugal video of 2024 (and the first time on your channel!) and the first inspiration/pattern choice sent me scurrying to my stash...Only I've already printed out the Mood Boxwood Hoodie-so it's that one AND the last one Tapestry corset for my daughter! I have a pile of uphostery sample I inherited from my grandmother who she was named after. I'm excited. Thank you!
@@what_valerie_makes I'm thinking do up the patchwork for the shoulders, quilt them onto the sweatshirt, the fleece acting as wadding and backing, measure armscye stitiching line and true up with sleeve. The quilted sleeve cap won't ease so a little planning ahead should save aggravation. Then hand stitch a binding on the seam allowance to make the inside look finished. And I showed the corset to my daughter-She iiked the sweatshirt more....
Great ideas and found your channel through Sewn on the Tyne who recommended you as part of the sew frugal vlogs tour. I’ve now subscribed as I love your style and ideas. X
Welcome and thank you! Also, same. I can't justify spending that kind of money on a top🫣 but I guess that's one of the perks of knowing how to sew your own clothes!
