I really really love them! especially Empommel! that color scheme is very very delicious I do have one small critique I guess, which doesn't really ruin the experience for me, but kept poking at my head while I watched the video, and especially occured to me at Avernape (as I am very much an Infernape girlie), that this trio (or at the very least, the first two of them) leans a bit too... dangerous? as far as starters go. typically, regardless of their types, starters invoke the feeling of someone who will be your friend no matter what, and I think that was a bit lost in there. I still really do love what you did with them, and especially the lore! always love your work

What do you think about these Ideas, Brandon?
I think this is your best starter trio swap yet! Maybe its the more even dark-psychic-fighting type triangle, or maybe you just have more practice, but every one of these lines was fantastic- id have a super hard time choosing between them. ❤

When I play a Pokémon game based on Sinnoh, I always pick Chimchar,but if these were the actual starters, I would pick Turtrid or Pipunch, but I would only evolve it up to Prinpunch.
Imagine if there's pokemon games where the starters later evolved gaining their weakness attributes. Grass starter > Grass Fire pokemon Fire starter > Fire Water Pokemon Water starter > Water Grass pokemon.
I would really like to see a dark Chimchar or see a pure fighting it would be cool too see what they would look like if it abandoned the fire type but I like the psychic design.
The concepts look amazing. But I just feel bad for Avernape, because Torterror is four times super effective against it, resists ghost, and is completely immune to the psychic type. But I would also be interested in seeing this trio taken to its greatest extreme by making Empommel a fighting fairy type so that Tortterror takes four times the damage from fairy moves can't attack back with dragon moves and has its dark moves double resisted. And then each fully evolved starter would have an immunity to another. Or maybe I just want to see unspeakable horrors befall Torterror for being so overpowered against Avernape (your type swapping of my favorite Sinnoh stater and second favorite starter of all time). In all seriousness great work, I love your concepts and despite the glaring weaknesses, I'd choose Avernape.
The physic infernape line reminds me of zerofuku from Record of Ragnarok. The point that both absorb malice to change the world but lose sanity in the process. Turning wicked and consumed by the malice they absorbed.
Speaking of playing around with types, do you and Karn EX have any plans to give armor evolutions to Unova pokemon? Or, I for one wouldn’t object if you decided to skip ahead to Kalos in time for the Legends ZA release
I have a idea alter pokemon they are a copy of the common pokemon and have a a different type,name and ability they have the exclusive egg group alter ; alter beast they are bosses that you can find causing caos you can calm down using a mistic herb
when i played platinum as a kid i pretended my turtwig was a crossbreed between a vampire turtle (yes those are real) and a snapping turtle, cause mine has crunch and giga drain (when it grew up) along with the normal turtwig powers of earthquake
