Welcome to the Tejas region! A fan-made Pokemon region based on the state of Texas! Where you'll find deserts, sprawling plains, bustling cities, and unique monsters waiting to be discovered! If the Tejas region had its own game, Geyserhound would be my starter
I'm from San Antonio and I would 100% choose the Cactillo line.
I already did something similar, the Hermosa region. The starters were Firfume, the Grass Skunk Pokemon, Dimini, The Solar Fin Pokemon (Dimetrodon with a solar panel fin) and Chickadet, the Osprey chick Pokemon

Picking the Grass starter. Yeah I know, the 4x weakness to Fire but steel resists a lot of types and its now immune to Poison

If I could make a suggestion I feel like Oilpup could be called Loilpup so it shows that it’s loyal and still has the oil in the name.

As a Texas native I find this awesome
I really love the idea of a sugar skull Pokémon. But instead of a yes starter I can see it being a part of a Legendary trio. There’s just so much potential for fun designs it would look awesome a part of a trio
Also I may have missed it but please tell me it learns the moves celebrate. I can’t imagine a piñata Pokémon without celebrate. It just feels wrong somehow.

After watching the whole video, I’d say I’m leaning into Scalebito for my starter, just because I like all of its evolutionary line. Also, for Geyerhound’s nemesis, how about a Water/Electric type cat Pokémon based on hydroelectric power as the two of them would square off for territory in the ocean
a Cat Pokemon based on climate acitivists will be the PERFECT villian for Geyserhound.
Wait I just realized something! The starters are just straight up reverse versions of the Kanto starters (except for the Fire one) We have a dual Poison Type starter, a draconic fire starter, and a starter with a cannon on its back.
This feels better than the Gen 9 starters
A good villain for the Oilpup line...how about a cat version of Captain Planet? If you want to change the lore, you could rig it to where these two Pokémon can have a complicated relationship like Batman and Superman.
This is really cool. I am making my own Texas reigon with a grass longhorn, fire bat, and water blue crab. The longhorn is based on western superheros. The bat is based on dancing and live music. The crab is based on football, which is the most popular sport in texas right next to rodeo. Haven't thought of a name though,so give me some name ideas for it

I just moved to Texas and haven't really looked into Texas's history, but this region is a fun way to watch amazing fakemon and learn about Texas history. You're awesome keep it up! I would pick oilpup. A cool villain for geyserhound would be a pokemon representing corporate greed taking advantage of oilpups.
I am so picking the water type, as someone who cares for dogs and literally have 2 dogs in the household. I am also happy it didn't end up like Incinaroar, and instead gives vibes of dog wonder from the blue falcon series if anyone ever heard of it. (I watch a lot of Scooby-Doo so i know it from there)
You know the starters are good when you can’t even deicide which to pick but I have to go with Scalebito, I love how it’s based off a horned lizard and I’ve always wanted a dragon starter, Caladrake looks so silly and I love it. The other starters are also really awesome too and I really love their origins. I really love the Tejas region and I can’t wait to see more whenever they come out. The artist also did a really great job with the designs. I recently got back into Pokemon and I love seeing all your new videos after so long. Anyways great video as always Dobbs ✨

I’ve seen a lot of similar posts but a grass/electric cat based on solar energy could work. It could even be based on the cactus cat since cacti don’t need much water to survive

Geyserhound's rival/enemy can be some sort of cat, or chaotic and danger pollution ( for me its opposite to the concept of Geyserhound )

I knew just from the thumbnail that this was gonna be a region based on my home state!!
I know it’s a little on the nose, but l have an idea for the regional bird of the Tejas Region. Based on the Mockingbird, maybe perhaps make it a Dark/Flying type because of its prankster-esk sort of nature. Going off of the “Mocking” theme and taking it to the next level. Just a random thought.
Wait, didn’t we already have a dragon like starter with Chamander and a Dia De Los Muertos starer with Fuecoco’s final evolution Skeledurge?

If you make regional variants for this region, you should put in Scovillain, but the heads resemble chili peppers
I love these little guys!! It's honestly a really hard choice between the three which means you did a super good job, LOL! I think I'd have to stick with the water pup, though - Oilpup is such a good boy!
I have a southern pokemon region base on southwest from texa to Washington D.C with pokemon character are base on historic people from 1700s - 1900s like martin luther king and George Washington as champion
I am kind of shocked by just how much I love all three of these! Considering this channel has there been about fakemon creation, I would have never expected you to come with one of my favorite starter trios I've ever seen! Each design evolves in a supernatural way in each evolution are both a fun surprise but also a natural continuation of the previous evolutions themes!
My starter choice would be a very tough pick between Almodillo and Inciñerata, although I think I'm leaning a bit towards Almodillo if not just because green is my favorite color and I'm a bit more fan of the tough look then the goofy look, although they're both incredible designs and I would definitely use Inciñerata an a second play through!

I have a suggestion on who Geyserhound’s arch enemy should be it should be some kind of dog enemy like a cat, a fox, or even a coyote, and give it the dark type and whatever else you feel like should be there.

Armadillos are Texas' official state 'small mammal' . Our official state 'large mammal' is, predictably, the Long Horn. At least this was the case years ago when I was a kid.

You can't have a fire dragon starter without the water starter getting a type that is super effective against it

Honestly this is freaking impressive. @eathandobbs IF you intend to do this as a series of sorts I’m certain the other 49 state themed regions would be impressive (and that’s a decently big if I admit)

Im ok with the mid stage but first stage is cuter and the third stage , im sorry, is ugly
Also for some reason whenever i play a new pokemon game for the first time i for some reason, so far have always picked the fire type first although i havent played gen 3-6 and i only played a little of gen 1 and gen 2, mainly because i dont own the other games and gens 1 and 2 belong to my mom

Ironically "Day of the Dead" Has actually been condemned by many of the Non Catholic churches in Mexico because of its association with Spirits and the occult. I don't know I think its cool having a holiday (which is the same day as Halloween in Canada and the USA) where ur deceased grandparents and ancestors can visit u is pretty cool but that's just me.
