The secondary trio is very unique and the designs are amazing!!
here is my guess on what we are gonna get starters wise in Z-A
first, 3 from other regions, who will get regional forms (that don't have Mega forms or have been used in Arceus or SV)
and then, later in the game
we can choose a Kalos starter, who now get a Mega evolution
similar to how the starters in XY worked

I really like the idea of the player being able to go back and forth between two points on the timeline for this game. It feels like a proper evolution of the legends concepts without just literally repeating the same game but in a different region.
Another note on shapeshifting; Zeus, the Greek version of Jupiter, was notorious for shapeshifting into a menagerie of animals when he was up to his tricks
And into people to flirt with other women!
Practically all gods have shapeshifting powers in various myths

I love the Kalosian Serperior and Primarina! They are awesome looking! The artists did a really good job! Kudos to them!
As a rillaboom defender, the new form is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE
Wait I just saw the skeledirge. I really hope these aren't in the game because I WILL NOT KNOW WHO TO CHOOSE FROM THESE ARE ACE.
If these were in the game, I'd go for Serperior and Primarina, which were already two of my favorite starter Pokemon of all time. I will say that the future set is my favorite by far, and I love how you tied them all together with a music theme (and made a version of Rillaboom that I fell in love with immediately upon seeing it, which I didn't think was possible but here we are).
Not only is the two sets of starter Pokémon very clever, but it also reflects a theme that is talked about, yet not expanded on when discussing Legends Z-A; improving on Gen 6 and its flaws, due to lacking a third version.
Many other Pokémon fans talk about how Legends Z-A can improve on X and Y, yet neglect to acknowledge how outside of this game existing.

I have a Theory. I predicted that the main Gameplay loop of the game would we going out of the city to gather resources to expand the city. Adding Upgrades and adding additional buildings. While out gathering resources, you would encounter wild Pokemon which you could catch to help you gather resources. Resources are also used to craft balls and other items.
Also i liked your theory that you could travel between the past and the present^_^
Can you try "Quagsire of Every Type" while you're at it? You already did a Wooper video after all. And there's even a lot of real-life Salamanders, Newts, and Axolotls you can easily chose depending of each type

Regardless of the route the go with the starters and the game itself, I have to give you (and the artists) so many kudos for how detailed you are! You always are with your designs but you made sure every little detail connected! Love it

Imagine Sprigatio is one of the starters and the final evolution is based on Puss in Boots.
Not only is it a French FairyTale, but some fans were disappointed Meowscarda didn't have a sword in its final evolution.
These are all so creative and inspired! I especially love the water dragon type Primarina.

I've so badly want a rillaboom that is more bigfoot than gorilla, and I'm glad to say you scratched that itch!
Primarina and skeledirge are personal favourites, my primarina has gotten me through shield and scarlet, while skeledirge got me to masterball rank!

Design look extraordinary! Choosing Kalosian Rillaboom and Skeledirge look dope as heck going to gave this 10/10.
Kalosian Empoleon look pretty cool design going to give this 8/10. Kalosain Charizard look amazing give it a Fire/Psychic, but it kind of look like Fire/Fairy colored scheme going to rate this 6/10.

These were such thoroughly fleshed out concepts, that make for brilliant Starter designs. Would love to see if we recieve designs at least half as good as your ideas in LZA proper.
I don’t know what I was expecting but seeing Joker pop up in Serperior’s segment was a pleasant surprise

Omg you fixed our boi fuecoco's final form QQ. I feel like Charizard is overused, but I LOVE the ideas for Empoleon and Serperior.
It’s funny because her first set almost has the same typing as the gen 9 starters but different inspirations. Very cool and I’m not a charizard lover but I LOOOOVE THE magic Charizard! Very good as always

A Kalosian Charizard which is the only version that can evolve into Mega Charizard Z actually makes a lot of sense and is probably the direction they’ll go
I had really wished Scorbunny was chosen instead of Fuecoco, but then you revealed the musical theme and I understood, lol.
That being said, if I had to choose 1 starter from both sides, I'd choose Serperior and Primarina. However, I also love Empoleon and Rillaboom, so I'd choose that combo for a different play through. (Fire types usually aren't my preference.)
Also, you version of Rillaboom is SO COOL! You fixed the awkward proportions of the original and it's hammer is wicked. Love the colours too!

I don't think they would make a kalosian charizard, because the Kanto starters already had appeared in Kalos.

These designs add incredible and it makes me sad knowing that we won’t be getting them in the game. I’m expecting a set of starters to get regional forms while another will get mega evolutions (probably the OG Kalos starters)
I think emboar would've been better with an ares representation considering that boars, alongside wolves, are both Ares' patron animals.
Yep. By far my favorite interpretation of the ZA starters I’ve seen. This RULES. So incredibly well thought out on so many levels.

Absolutely sick designs all around but I would give anything to make that skeledirge variant real
My prediction will be alternative forms for Serpirior, empoleon and Incinaroar as well as new Megas for the Kalos starters
I really like the second trio. But I think the colors of rillaboom and primarina were a little too similar. I would've maybe tried a more purple color scheme for primarina instead to help set the two apart more. Maybe even play with the coral aspect more and add more to her headress
Maybe would be unpopular in practice, but the Charizard being based on a shape shifter could also be reason to let it mega evolve into both of the normal variant's mega forms, plus its own.

I love all of these! And since you said you're gonna draw regionals, I think they'll use Lillipup like they did Growlithe. It would be sick!
If I had a nickel for every evil dragon living in the Rhône, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Jokes aside, I didn't know of the Drac of Beaucaire because it's a legend from southern Rhône, precisely in the Gard department. There's another one specific to Lyon, a city upstream, responsible for causing floods or droughts as well as eating folks and animals. Its name ? Le Mâchecroute (Chewcrust) !

Theories or not I hope they bring in Torterra or Sceptile. I'd be happy with Meganium or Feraligatr too! Gen 2 and 3 are my jam!
For the past forms, I would be a tie between Kalosian Serperior or Kalosian Charizard, and for the present starter it's again tie between Kalosian Skeledirge or Kalosian Primarina.

I believe we are going to get both regional variant starters & mega evolved starters cuz in X & Y we had access to 2 starter selections our usual regional starter selection and then later the professor gave us the option of a Kanto starter selection I can totally see us getting our mismatched starter selection ends up with the regional form & then later be offered one of the Kalos starters with new Megas

I’m gonna be honest no matter what the starters get I doubt Charmander will ever be in the ring for starters no matter how much GameFreak loves it Megas are coming back so if the starters get Megas it’d be a little rude for one of the starters to have 3 mega evolutions and if they get regional forms it would be a terrible idea for a Pokemon to have both a mega and a regional form in the same game sure Slowbro has a mega and a regional form but they’re in separate games
You my man have converted me to team past and present Z-A! I’ve heard similar theories and now am on board! May have to make some ideas of my own, though must make sure to not copy your epic ideas on the starters. But who fit my theme?

Cool idea: If your theory is correct on traveling to the past and present, you would make a horrible mistake (in the game) making Zygarde appear in the present day. Not in its 10% forme, not 50%, not 100%, but its new 200% forme.

This might be some mild OCD but I think for the next Legends game they will try to fill the other Johto, Unova and Alola starters. So Meganium/Emboar/Primarina and Serperior/Incineroar/Feraligatr
7:49 a base 70 Steel type move feels a little weak for a spread move, and in singles it would prefer Iron head instead

Knocked it out of the park with every single one! I definitely understand why most choose Serperior and Empoleon, and you made a strong case here, loved the Charizard variant. But my favorites were the second set, Kalosian Skeledirge is PERFECT and I want a Fire/Fairy Pokémon so bad, plus Kalosian Primarina is PEAK.
PS: I still do want a Kalosian Meganium xD
I dont see the Violin on Skelledirge, I guess standing the lines could be the strings, like that girl from Umbrella Academy, but then the neck would be facing down, if its the tail?
Could've done Primarina Water/Poison. Since it fits with the Steel, Fairy better than Dragon.
I was kinda thinking fire dragon charizard for a regional variant, since one of the mega charizards is fire dragon.
Serperior would be based on Louis XIV, Empoleon as Napoleon, and any Fire starter as Joan of Arc!
Ooo I love the melusine she was a fairy who was cursed by her mother and she fled to south France and then married a noble who seen her in her melusine form and she turned into a dragon and flew away this is perfect for primarina as its a fairy type and to make it into a dragon type makes it look majestic and ethereal 😍
6:19 I actually think Pokémon:ZA is going to be where you travel to Luminous City in the past and the future due to how the graphic version of Luminous City looks futuristic,but that's my opinion what's yours?

I think we'll get *either* Piplup or Snivy in Legends: Z-A, not both of them together since they come from adjacent generations. Same reason why they likely won't pair Piplup with Torchic besides them both being birds.
Possible combinations: Blaziken, Serperior, & Primarina/Intelleon; or: Meganium, Empoleon, & Incineroar

I desperatly want all these forms to be real especially the superior because i love snivy. (One of the only grass type starters that i like besides turtwig.)
Serperior and Charizard are my favorite grass and fire types respectfully, along with Empoleon being tied for my favorite water type. You my good sir have put me in quite the situation,how could one pick between ones favorites?

I don’t know if this was intentional but the way the sort of “eyelash” on primarina sort of makes it look like as if she’s singing nervously? This could be inline with your inspiration about how “if her husband sees her, she takes the form permanently” so she’s nervous about how she looms or something? Idk. Also that charizard is might cool even though it’s another form for it lol.
also the idea the Unovan starters just become evil when they leave their region is funny to me lol.
