Because type wise it’s starting to get boring and every type combo has mostly already been used. Maybe Sound Holy Rubber Split Flying up into two different typings Bird and Wind Type. Bird can be similar to Bug and Dragon. And Wind could complete the Fire Water Ground/Earth Chart.
Before I get 1001 comments about this: No, Mimikyu is NOT a Pikaclone. It isn’t a rodent, it isn’t electric type, it doesn’t have the electric cheek pouches. The reason it emulates Pikachu is for vastly different reasons then Biology (which is what makes a Pikaclone). You will not convince me otherwise. Edit: Marill isn’t a Pikaclone either and already has evolutions anyway.

Emolga could be a cool reciever of the new "zero to hero" ability as well since he turns into a caped crusader. Plus volt switch is something he learns, could be an interesting expansion on your idea

Multusle and Divisun are cool, but I feel like there was a missed opportunity to give Plusle and Minun a shared pre-evolution like the Hitmons got. Maybe give it a neutral charge motif?
Pokémon that already have low base stat totals probably should not have baby forms… Does anyone really appreciate baby forms like Chingling, Pichu, or Igglybuff? Pokémon with formidable evolved forms are cool because babies evolve with friendship, allowing a dedicated trainer to obtain a power boost early. Riolu, Munchlax, Happiny, and even Elekid and Magby are reasonable baby Pokémon because they have a purpose.
I tried my hand at this general concept before, except I went from cheering to mentoring. Did the multiplying/divining idea too. I think giving them the normal type on top would work really well!
I LOVE MULTUSLE AND DIVISUN. The subtle differences such as the direction of the line across the face, four buttons on multusle to represent the multiplication cross and divisun’s two buttons match the dots of the division sign. Makes me want to see a Pokémon duo based on real and imaginary numbers!
I actually think it was hilarious and adorable that the evolution was just “ok but Pawmi grew up.” It’s not crazy but very cuddly. I get why people are disappointed, but I like it.
I find the line disappointing because I don't like Pawmi so I don't like that it is the one that remains the same. The evos partially fix the horrendous proportions it has, so there's that I guess.
I’m not a big fan of how the last form looks like a old doll that lost its stuff and also got more messier looking with the hair. But I do get what you mean tho.
It’s not even the first time it has happened. Many Gen I evolutions were just “bigger with angry eyes”, and even as recently as Gen V we got Stoutland, which is mostly just “grown-up Lillipup”. Granted, though, Lillipup grows into Herdier and finally Stoutland in a visually distinct, interesting way (and with a glorious mustache to boot). Tl;dr: Stoutland did it better.

I always think Pachirisu is an electric/ice type base on the coloring and the sharp points on the tail so seeing a electric/grass evo caught me off guard but I still think it’s pretty cool.
Yeah I see that too; the funny thing is I tied making an evolution for it too, also based off of Ratatoskr (and later Mercury, it makes sense I swear); it was named Toakirisu and was the Storytelling Pokemon, since Ratatoskr was the messenger that traveled across the 9 realms across Igdrasil; it was Electric/Dragon to symbolize the legends it was based on. The pokemon is known to be a huge gossip and embellish story details. It loves to learn the newest info.
I'll be honest, I always thought Plusle and Minun would get an evolution through some sort of fusion form, combining them both to get a Neutron evolution.
Dedellite is fantastic!! It feels the most like a 100% real Pokemon evolution. If I didn't know the context, I would've thought it was a Paldean evolution leak or something! 😂
I kinda like it, but I'd tried my hand at the pika clones when togedemaru came out. I went with a tooth fairy route. I like my design better but it was a pretty lazy concept (I kinda just made it bigger and gave it fairy wings), so by far this one was getter executed
If there was an episode in the Pokémon anime where Clemont's Dedenne evolves into Dedellite, there would be a scene where Dedenne flies away to his habitat, but Bonnie doesn't want him to go, saying to him "Please, Dedellite. Don't go...", but then Clemont tells her it's gonna be okay, and Dedellite flies away. What you think of this idea? It may be in my AU.

I really like morgotsu’s design and agree with the type splitting, but I think it would be cool if morgotsu was a normal electric type, a lot of times the rounder more food based Pokémon are normal types, as we’ve seen with greedent, munchlax, snorlax, pidove, and so on. I know it’s not a real Pokémon but it’s cool to think about imo
By the way, I Flamigo is so simple because flamingoes can’t protect themselves in anyway, so they use each other to scatter and fly away so predators, can’t get them. That’s why I Flamigo such a simple design. Thank you for your time.

I do like the idea of evolving Morpeko based on what form it's in, however I think in practice it'd be rather annoying to try and aim for one or the other given how the form switching is automatic between turns. Maybe instead of just that you also have to give it an item to hold in battle, and then if it levels up in that form and it's holding the item it evolves. That way it also stays out of messy situations such as it evolving via experience share, or the more unlikely but having to be planned for event of it leveling up twice throughout the same trainer battle in each form.
Maybe make it so holding an item can do it? If leveled up or given a rare candy while holding a good item like leftovers or a berry, it evolves into the full belly evolution, but when holding nothing it evolved into the hangry evolution

You could even go one step further with Plusle and Minun, with Multusle evolving into Exponusle (exponents) and Roonun (root) since exponents and roots are sort of the more advanced versions of multiplication and division (and it also gets most of PEMDAS into it) Edit: Another idea: Onusle and Zeronun as Pichu clones (you learn numbers before equations) and have a Mega Multiplusle and Divisun for exponents and roots

I love the Plusel and Minun ones, I tried to do a similar thing myself with Minun becoming a Ribbon Dancer (using their tail that's become _looooong_ ) and Plusel becoming even more of a cheerleader with big explosion looking pompoms (cause the plus kinda looks like an explosion... if you give it more lines)
Multusle and Divisun look awesome, and love the idea of turning them into clowns. But the multiplication and division symbols don't work, since the plus and minus signs refer to positive and negative electric charges.

the explanation for clamperl evolving into Huntail is because it's head in the center isn't actually a pearl but an a fish egg that when it evolves matures into it's proper fish stage losing the shell, many marine animals lay their eggs in clams, sea anenome, etc as a symbotiotic defence mechanism
Loved the Hangry Evolution for Morpeko! It's not easy to convey scrawny on fuzzy Pokemon but it was done well here. I like the detail of it stealing anyone's food. I imagine many Trainers would find themselves annoyed by this.
Togedemaru is my favorite pika clone and I was very exited what you would do with it, but very worried if you would take away its roundness. Man did you not disappoint. I love it!

the explanation for clamperl evolving into Huntail is because it's head in the center isn't actually a pearl but an a fish egg that when it evolves matures into it's proper fish stage losing the shell, many marine animals lay their eggs in clams, sea anenome, etc as a symbotiotic defence mechanism
Loved the Hangry Evolution for Morpeko! It's not easy to convey scrawny on fuzzy Pokemon but it was done well here. I like the detail of it stealing anyone's food. I imagine many Trainers would find themselves annoyed by this.
These evolutions would make all of these little guys more playable
Togedemaru is my favorite pika clone and I was very exited what you would do with it, but very worried if you would take away its roundness. Man did you not disappoint. I love it!
Pahikiba looks like if Greedent kept its old body (Skwovet) and had its tail grow while also transforming into an electric type somehow
