eh, stats play into it. it is a ranked mode after all. Some of the characters just hit harder, faster and have better technique. As an example, Chiaotzu effectively has no ultimate at all because if you use it, you are reduced to 1 hp...and it doesn't even get a damage bonus for this trade off...

From what I have seen so far, the best way to deal with this type of play would be to master the perfect charged smash. Back in BT3, this teleported ya a good distance towards the enemy and smacked it back. If Wheelo cannot close in, you have a lot less stress.

Giants genuinely are the reason why I stopped playing Ranked when I reached A Rank, and I can fully admit that I’m not good against them. While I do believe they need to be nerfed by a lot, I’m not gonna sit back and pretend I don’t have skill issues against them too, I do, and I just will not have patience for them. This character specifically shows the real problems with the game. Most giants have some amount of drawbacks, but wheelo has none. He can infinite grab combos. Idk why, but the devs thought that all giants deserved untechable grabs. But they forgot to make wheelo slow enough to not be able to use it in a literally infinite. If wheelo grabs you once, you're losing a character since its an infinite. His grab range is soo large that hitstun makes it impossible to sidestep in time even while spamming sidesteps. Not even SSJ4 gogeta or broly have anything that strong. Then they also gave wheelo a insta spark as well. He also has the advantages that most giants have. They are uncontested unless you get behind them. But only if you can get behind will you ever be able to outskill a giant. They have super armor+untechable grabs+the biggest range for melee attacks in the game.
im kinda surprised that giant characters were not made grabbable & rushable, it would be cool to do a rush on a giant & just wach as your guy smacks around apes, mechs & monsters that tower over em, but oh well, guess its back to the old charge&beam loop, the beams do bend now wich makes that work even more but still

I use a PlayStation controller on PC, if that information matters, and I was told by the game that hitting block (R1) is how it's done, but it always seems to drop around my second dodge. Is there a point where I hit X and Square instead? Like, for the "manual input" or whatever? Do I need to be holding a certain direction while pressing? Or am I doing nothing wrong and I simply need to get good at this?
