Interesting how Aero is enabled out-of-the-box in some of these builds without the need for drivers. Apparently a software component managed the Aero theme rather than hardware or drivers. Makes me wonder why they couldn't have done this for Windows Vista/7?
They were only available to the windows developers, even if you got that build sometimes you will need to get a red pill or blue pill thingy installed.

It is included with VMware. There should be a menu at the top of the VMware interface that contains an option to install VMware tools on the guest OS.

9.0.0 for build 7850, then I ditched VMware tools altogether for all the other builds.
