I'm confused. The instructions say to "install" prior to travel but "activate" upon arrival. When I scan the installation QR code it says "ready to activate". IDK how to "install" but not "activate" the esim.

Terrible confusing. It is not possible to install without activating it as the activation is the step required to finalize the installation. And, if you install it, the data plan starts counting. Plus, although the FAQ section suggests the data plan only starts after enabling data roaming, the same page at its very bottom indicates the days start counting at activation. Please, fix this, and provide customers with a clear and direct explanation about when the data plan days start counting.

The activate option means that the eSIM will be installed on the cell phone, but, it will not start counting the package immediately, for that the eSIM roaming must be active, something that must be done manually after installation.

At the 2:05 mark if you are following the instructions to the letter (and you have not arrived at the destination country), your phones Cellular Data will now be selected to HolaFly. However, if you are still in your destination country this is a problem as you will have no access to your normal (primary) data. As such, a very small extra step is required (if you have not departed): make sure "Cellular Data" is still "Primary". Then when you arrive at your destination change it to "HolaFly".
