    About Us: For over 38 years, Wagan Corp. has been located in the San Francisco Bay Area of California! We hold over 12 Design and Utility Patents with Award Winning products and designs. We care about people, their lives, and strive to better them. These aren’t just words; this is the Mission that our company lives by.
    You're looking for a Solar Floodlight (or two) and noticed that there are a billion different options out there. I'm going to go over the specs, models, and compare some of our Solar Floodlights so that you may find the model that is right for your needs!
    I'd like to start by asking you some questions in order to find out what you need:
    What area(s) are you wanting to illuminate? Is it a driveway, the side of your yard, trash cans, a dirt road, or a basketball court?
    How bright do you need this area to be when illuminated?
    What area(s) are you looking to illuminate?
    Small Area (Dumpster, Side of the Yard, Campsite)
    If you're looking to illuminate a small area with the right amount of light, one of our smaller Solar Floodlights (SFL) would be the perfect addition. For trash can areas, either on the side of your house or for enclosures normally found at businesses, restaurants, and communal living areas, the 1000 Lumen Solar Micro Wall LED Light is a perfect choice. This light is also ideal for camping (I use one myself!)!
    For brighter lighting, larger battery capacity (for those areas that receive less than ideal sun), and increased angling options, the 2000 Lumen Solar Wall Light is the answer to your lighting needs.
    Medium Sized Area (Pathway, Driveway, Yard)
    For those areas that are slightly larger than the average "side of the yard walkway", like a larger pathway, driveway, medium size backyard, or an out-building like a shed, I recommend the Solar + LED Floodlight 800 as it offers a compact/slim size, yet emits a good amount of light.
    If you're the type of person that likes it really bright, then you may opt for the Solar + LED Floodlight 1600; it features double the max output and has nearly double the battery capacity too.
    Large Area (Parking Lot, Walkway, Basketball or Tennis Court)
    If you're looking to illuminate a walking path or a long driveway, the Solar + LED Floodlight 2000 is a great investment. This model has a good amount of "throw" and illuminates a fairly broad area. We just received a picture of a customer who illuminated his backyard tennis court with 3 of these models; and it is bright!
    For those with larger areas of need, the new Solar + LED Floodlight 3000 is a big step up in brightness and features our new A.L.T. Lighting Technology. This light can run up to 10 nights on a single charge!
    If you're "not messing around" and want the best, brightest, and baddest light on the block, then the Solar + LED Floodlight 4800 is going to give you the result that you're looking for. At 4800 max lumens, this light is bright!
    So, what's it gonna be? Still can't decide? Shoot me an email at Customerservice@wagan.com and we can narrow it down for you!

    Hi - I have a farm laneway that I'm trying to light up. Two questions: (1) are there any models where the 'dusk to dawn' feature includes an option to have the light off unless motion is detected, instead of being on at 30% all the time? I don't want the light on unless there's motion or unless I manually turn it on with the remote. And (2) My laneway is oriented North/South and partially treed, so I'm worried about the units with the built-in solar panels instead of the external one. I think I may need to / want to turn the panel to face South rather than having them face East, which is how it would be for an integrated unit. Thanks.

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  2 года назад

      Hi, the answer to your question depends on the light model. Our Solar + LED Floodlight 2000 Remote Controlled (8589-9) will "idle" at 10% brightness, and then ramp-up to 100% when motion is detected.
      Our Solar micro wall light (8570) will go from 0% at idle to 100% when motion is detected, but it is usually intended for smaller paths (it sounds like you're trying to illuminate a rural road of sorts.

    We are trying to illuminate a double-sided ground sign. The sign is around 48" tall x 96" wide. It really just needs to put off enough light to let drivers read the sign, don't want to blind anyone with anything too bright. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  2 года назад +1

      To be honest, I don't know if our lights are right for your needs.
      Our lights are intended to utilize the motion sensor to light up an area when a passerby comes. Once motion ceases and about 30 seconds pass, the light will go into a low-light (dim) mode.
      Some of the lights are remote controlled and can have a timer-mode set to illuminate at a desired brightness for a set amount of time, but this may not be what you need?

      Marcus,
      The brighter the output, the brighter your yard will be, right? While you'll never achieve daylight without some crazy bright (& expensive) lights, I would still suggest our Solar + LED Floodlight 4800 or the soon-to-be released Solar + LED Floodlight 3000. Besides output, the biggest difference between the two is the ALT or Adaptive Lighting Technology found on the 3000 model. I think you'd be happy with the 4800 model IMO.

    I want garden stake lights to light up a walkway and I want the brightest ones? online it either states volts or lumens but how do I know if its the brightest... one says 1.5 volts and other says like 2.4 lumen or 10 lumen or 14 lumen or 20lumen...please help

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  2 года назад +1

      Lumens is a semi-accurate way to determine brightness (not really, but it can get you in the ballpark), where as volts do not measure light output in any way.
      The higher the lumen number, the brighter the light will be.

      Hi there! It depends on the model. Some of them are programmable to stay on at full brightness for a set amount of time, while others will stay on a lower power setting until motion is detected and then ramp up to the full brightness.

    If you mounted the 1600, 2000 and 3000 on poles 10' high, what would be light diameters. From your video, I think I might have purchased the wrong one for the lake lot.

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  2 года назад

      Laine, mounted at 10', each light would produce a light-spread of about 35' (feet) on the ground.
      I would recommend mounting the lights higher if possible to give a better radius.
      At 15 feet, the lights would produce a 52 foot spread.
      The lights with a higher lumen rating will make that spot brighter with more "spill" around the radius.
      Hope this makes sense?

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  Год назад

      Unfortunately, we do not have any sizeable lights in that Kelvin range. Most of our larger area floodlights lights are around 6000K.
      Our smaller lights, the 1000 Lumen Solar Micro Wall LED Light (8570) and the 2000 Lumen Solar Wall Light (8569) are both 4000K.
      If you're ok with 6K color, the Solar + LED Floodlight 4800 (8592) would certainly light up that area.

    Ques ur using lumens.. Meaning the brightness..
    But here in our country its watt.. How do i convert?

    • @WaganTech
      @WaganTech  3 года назад +1

      You can calculate watts from lumens and luminous efficacy. Lumen and watt units represent different quantities, so you can't convert lumens to watts.
      What is normally done is to compare a standard lightbulb output to lumen rating.
      For example, 375 lumens is comparable to a 25W lightbulb.
      900 lumens is around 60W
      1500 lumens is around 100W
      Also consider the beam of the light. If comparing our streetlights to a light bulb, the beam is focused around 180 degrees.
