nice work! the 3000 is like chopping by hand...really makes you craft the sound. no waste, no excess. this groove came together nicely at the end, especially when that snare hit. where'd you cop those records? Looks like some gold. thanks for sharing process...i've owned the mpc 500, 1000, 2000xl, 2000, and 60, and the 3000 is still my favorite (followed by the 2000xl), even though it can be a little slow at times. Respect.
Thanks a lot bro!! Yeah I agree, the 3000 workflow is great because it’s very intuitive, even if it requires a bit of focus to get the chops and pad cut-offs right. I actually grabbed that Tsunoda on Drums record from Hercules Records in Berkeley. As far as ease of workflow and versatility, the MPC 5000 is probably my personal favorite (granted, it’s the unit I’ve used for the longest period of time). The MPC3000 is just behind it in my preferences list and the sound really cannot be matched! Thanks for checking out the vid. ✊🏿
I like both of them for different reasons. The MPC5000 has a lot of functions that make the workflow really fast and convenient! Plus the on-board synth is useful. The MPC3000 has nice warmth to its sound and its limitations make the workflow streamlined/intuitive. Can't go wrong either way!
i could hear this on a commercial as its that catchy and cool vibe yet at the same time having this video shows you have the real fine tuned connection to the machine and skills and record digging. Copyright ur stuff mane. this is tight work. Subbed to ur channel btw. Plus u got the roland mv which is my fav machine :)
