Young guys would get laughed off the job site, but I’ve seen enough older guys that couldn’t physically handle full days anymore that could really add several years onto their careers with these, awesome product as per usual @festool
If any of my guys laughed anyone off the job I’d fire them. I’d rather have a smart kid who takes care of his body instead of some macho douche bag that thinks he can live forever. The idea is to make money and staying healthy is part of the game.
My grandfather my father was painters. I am still here. Thanks to progress.. my dads elders laughed about the extra pockets and called them elephant ears and dissed water based paint etc... my fathers era (born 54) disnt fully belive in flex sanders etc to start with.
agreed, and so what if a young person uses one too? what do these cost, $1200 or so? a ruined shoulder rotator cuff sounds a lot more expensive. hell, probably just a couple sessions of post surgical rehab costs more than that. i can see how these might contribute to injury if worn constantly, since the muscle would be working less, just like wearing a back support brace all day every day only makes the back weaker and atrophied.
For commercial jobs when it’s hours of overhead work, they’ll sell plenty of these I think. Maybe even residential drywallers. The days of working young guys till they break are coming to an end we’re starting g to realize that something like this can make a good worker more efficient and keep him effective longer. The numbers will ultimately dictate it but on commercial jobs it’s going to be a no brainer eventually. I know too many guys with rotator cuff injuries and other shoulder problems. Me, I’m a 53 year old finish carpenter and still in decent shape because I never had a ton of overhead on knee level work, but drywallers? Hanging, sanding, even mudding with boxes. It would be great if the most trusted and skilled guys didn’t burn out and could still work. And there’s fewer people entering the trades now, so us old dudes gotta keep going.
If you think of human being as nothing but a labor resource, then there you go- great take.. If you consider them to be human beings who also work, then you will see how dehumanizing this is. REJECT the transhuman agenda. Look it up, the elites have been planning this human-machine hybrid crap for decades.
I've just had abdominal surgery. 6 incisions. Reaching up is not quite like it used to be, so I think this would be a big help. If love to voice it a try out. Just don't have the spare cash to splash out on spec for it right now. Love Festool. This would make my green and gray box set even better.
When will you do a wireless vr robot so i can work from home as a painter? Been working 20 years and counting. Jokes aside. I need a demo of this in sweden. With my worn body this would really help.
The trades were never an easy calling, and our physical health was never a metric of real concern. Nobody ever thought they’d be throwing bricks or hefting wall frames ‘til they were 70 but sometimes it happens. Let’s let the guys with all the experience stick around long enough to show us how it’s done, without completely destroying their bodies. ❤
I ruptured both my biceps on one qrm, right at the beginning of the renovation of our house. My docs tell me I can never use that arm again to lift anythiing heavy. I wonder if this could be a solution?
Darn it, this exoskeleton is something else. I know that i could do with this type of product and that's because I have spinal problems and have had six surgical operations to help me, the last one was in 2018 following that operation it took me over six months to basically learn how to stand up and walk again. Hence why this type of product would be a benefit for me. That said I was waiting for a set of either wings shooting out from the sides or a jetpack coming out of the rear , now that would be something else 😊😳.
WTH are you talking about . It’s bulky asl and it doesn’t make you stronger it helps you conserve energy by supporting your limbs in repetitive motion tasks.

Clearly massively overpriced for what it is. But still useful if you are older. I remember my dad used to be able to lift 8 huge plasterboard sheets when he was younger but by the time he got to be 70 he was down to only 2.
For 3 grand I’d rather have a bunch of labourers. You’d need a very particular person/job to warrant the purchase. Glad to see them continue innovating but not I doubt there going to sell many
And keep paying possibly sub standard and unreliable day laborers for what is really skilled labor? Personally, if I had a good, reliable taper who was beginning to tire out and was getting tired of overhead work, I’d say $3000 is a bargain. Spend it once and keep getting quality, reliable work. And it’s a lot less expensive than surgery.
😂😂 😂😂 do not buy this crap, 100% will do more bad than good! Might suit the DIY enthusiasts for around the house, this was already a thing back in the late 90's early 00's! Will not work in real world scenarios
That’s not a sustainable one. I can repair this machine if it breaks. I can’t repair muscles as quick if a human breaks. A problem was presented and festool solved it. Macho morons let their pride get in the way and started dropping like flies when they get past a few decades. This is smart and anyone using is even smarter. I’d rather use this so I can play with my kids longer.
I imagine you will see this becoming common place with construction. Looks like a great product.

Well if the Young guys would use something like this they would not be that bad when they get older . Spares your shoulders back etc
@@Herkulez1981 That would be smart and that’s what’s missing in trades. Lots of testosterone but dumb as hell. Dudes think they’re all super heroes.

There’s a lot of people with shoulder injuries this would really help with the return to work process.

I could see this being helpful doing automatic drywall finishing. I blow out my shoulders with the flat boxes
Can I use this for rock climbing?
I ruptured both my biceps on one qrm, right at the beginning of the renovation of our house. My docs tell me I can never use that arm again to lift anythiing heavy. I wonder if this could be a solution?

Imagine getting patted down at the door of a bar and they feel THIS under your clothes?
it's gonna happen eventually.
WTH are you talking about . It’s bulky asl and it doesn’t make you stronger it helps you conserve energy by supporting your limbs in repetitive motion tasks.
Meh. Get back to me when these include leg attachments, and have become automated for repetitive tasks. Wait, what do you mean I'm fired!?
“John, hold this while I wack some screws in it”
“Hold on mate I just gotta wait for my exo active to charge”
FFS!
I can’t tag his seriously 😂😂😂
Actually I might get one for the gym
Yeah... I (and many others) will probably need one of these if we are supposed to survive in this trade.

You cant imagine, but they are used in automotive industry for years now

you have to pay the laborers over and over again, that is if they bother to show up to work sober.
Lockman Plaza
Cruickshank Corner
Elysium
If you need an exoskeleton suit to stick up some masking tape you shouldn’t be at work 😂
Sounds like someone that works a cushy office job 😂
Lots of older folks have to work these jobs. It's hard for some 50 year olds to do this everyday
Festool 50kg rolls of tape, coming soon!
Way overpriced for that cheesy battery, though.
No good for roofers 😂
😂😂 😂😂 do not buy this crap, 100% will do more bad than good! Might suit the DIY enthusiasts for around the house, this was already a thing back in the late 90's early 00's! Will not work in real world scenarios
i have a much cheaper solution, get a gym membership and you wont need one of these
