I wish we could see Selim's rule and watch Murad take him down along with Nurbanu get handled as well. 😂
In selim' s rule, sokollu was the uncrowned sultan... After his death, the power of nurbanu increases as valide..... At that time, a war over the power broke out between nurbanu and safiye... Nurbanu creates problems between Murad and safiye and safiye was send out to the old palace... Murad then have six other concubines and 19 children..... Nurbanu was poisoned by unknown ( may be canfeda hatun, who also serves safiye ).. Then safiye and murad rejoined and she returned to the palace...

He was drunk, but always obedient to Suleyman no matter what the circumstances were, he never disobeyed his single order like Mustafa did, never rebelled like bayzeid did, cihangir was weak, mehmet was vulnerable, selim was extremely smart in my opinion because he might have made himself not worthy of throne so people don't view him as a threat and that's what led him to the throne and all the better candidates got crushed in this struggle
