Great Catch! Thats one fast alarm!
Thanks. Yeah it is very fast lol
4 days to go also again like always nice vid
Thanks. Yeah, not long now! I have a good, long video to publish on the date.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel ok 👍
Great video
Thanks.
Excellent Shots and Videos! 👍🏻👍🏻 Nice to still see the Mk1 Barriers here in 2023! 👍🏻 That fast alarm is loud! I kind of want to try coming here!
Thank you! Yeah, its nice to see this crossing hasn't changed, and neither has one of the alarms.
Brilliant catches! Cool to see those 153's on the inspection train in particular. Those alarms have startled me even standing further back, let aside standing right next to the faulty one as it activated like in this video would 😅. It has been quite a while and still no change even though it's faulty, but it still does its job!
Thanks! Not sure why standing in-front of that particular Yodalarm was a good idea lol. I don't think I'll be doing that again in a hurry.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Lol
Great video! Nice to still have MK1 barriers here!
Thank you.
Excellent video and Crossing 👍
Thank you!
#3 I liked how you peeked around the barrier. How to make this experience even better? Have the camera on an extended stick? A drone/
I prefer just holding my phone camera in my hands rather than on a stick. It also helps with the stabilisation :)
👍🏻
;)
Why do some crossings with 2 half barriers stop the alarm?
Idk
Idk to
Idk either some half barriers round England do stop
Some older-age half barrier crossings, especially those with the Mk1 "Penguin" barriers, have relays that stop the alarm sounding once the barriers have lowered. This particular crossing is unique as the alarm cuts out a few seconds after the barriers have been down. More modern half barrier crossings have the alarms continue sounding throughout the sequence.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel I believe, wasn't it around 1985 that it became the standard for new AHB crossings' alarms to continue sounding? Same year they introduced the Mk2 barriers, manufactured by Smiths Industries.
Ive seen a channel whos mainly stealing your older videos from like 2019 and 2018 i think
I'll have a look at the content being stolen.
