What a load of waffle. 4.0 aka pyro has never been in the roadmap. This is the first time it’s been on a roadmap and is scheduled to be the next major patch after 3.24. Luckily for me and others we’ve explored and played in pyro already
Just enjoy the parts of the journey you're able to brother. @@jeroxis9975I came to star citizen in 2018, saw the state it was in (3.18?), said.. Uhm.. not right now, I simply didn't have time to play 6 hours and have it crash 3 times, so I stopped. Picked it up again at the start of this year (2024) and find it actually playable! I was impressed enough to give them some funding. Of course there are still some crazy bugs. Now I'm "bracing" (lol) for 3.24 and expecting to put it down for months until they sort out the majority of the bugs.. we'll see. Long way to say, putting it down is legit to maintain sanity, the dream will live on as some will continue to carry and when you're ready, just come on back. 😊

OK hold up. They were also talking about i-cache then and pyro has always been contingent on server meshing. We all know that i-cache didnt work. it didnt scale and they had to start from scratch and said as such in 2022. Now I totally agree they have been teasing pyro for a VERY long time. But also on that note, there was opportunities to try it in the test branch of star citizen. They have pyro. They've had pyro for a while. They didnt have servermeshing.
I hate that they make such a huge point of night vision being light enhancement, that is what current real night vision is. I have worn night vision for weeks when running night missions and in the middle of Iraq if there was no moon it barely did a damn thing and you were still blinded by darkness.
yeah it’s stupid how they’re doing that. its like going full send on an ‘actually’ moment then being completely wrong about it 🤣🤣🤣 Cant see shit without existing or supplementary light/photons with NVGs
@@skaring-devIR can be spotted pretty easily by the enemy. Light enhancement is the better term, they don’t emit any signature, but as mentioned above. Requires some sort of light source to function
At one of the Q&A shows, CIG said that they will make this particular version of night vision and specifically for scopes, since the current game engine allows it to be done cheaply, as a small addition, without much coding and without disrupting already existing visuals concepts. Doing something like IR or night vision for helmet visors/ship's cockpit would require introducing completely new technology.
Man how cool would it be if 'Social Features' meant like small armistice zones where players can meet and trade/buy/sell goods like in Rust or DayZ or something. If something like that came into the game, I dont think anyone would be upset if there were a few random locations in Pyro where we could have a player-driven flea market of sorts that required small armisitice zones (like half the size of a mining facility on Stanton).
Aaaaaand 20 more years to the dev cycle. I stopped playing whataboutism a long time ago. With the time it takes to build and polish even the most basic systems, if all the mechanics and tech isn't already there or being built, I wouldn't expect anything.
I've given up on SC and S42. Backing since Jan 2014, answered the call in 2016. Been on hold ever since watching the game get dumbed down left right and center. It just sucks at this point.
I'm pretty much ALWAYS in favor of holding a patch if it's not ready, and 3.24 has been not ready. So for that, I'm actually thankful and give praise for the restraint. On the other hand, obviously our expectations were completely set incorrectly for this, and it's also frustrating that this is all stuff that was originally slated for 3.23 in the first place. I want to separate these ideas in hopes CIG doesn't think the community is just complaining regardless of what they do. Hold patches, 100%, but also set better expectations. That's my take. Glad it's still coming along though. 4.0 is going to be a big indicator of whether or not I keep following this project.
@@orangeoffline5-6 is a bit of a stretch but they are a little bit more of a big deal. Still just an example of them not living up to the expectations they set.
12 live publishes last year (2023), 6 by this time last year. 5 live publishes this year, arguably 1 less than last year but if 3.24.0 comes before 09/20/2024 then it will be exactly the same as last year.
Still say there is *zero* reason for the 30 second timer. Are we really saying that security in the future will be worse than it is *now?* A simple key, or keycode to lock our ships and hangars feels like an obvious thing; and yet those who only like playing when it is at someone else's expense is yet again catered towards.
Most likely, it's a stop-gap for NPC AI, who would likely issue warnings to leave. Besides, depending on the ship and hangar size, 30s isn't much time to cause trouble anyway. It takes about that long to get to my ship entrance even at full sprint. Also, the first tuning is rarely the final tuning.
@@LucidStrike I can't wait for the AI to have a dynamic AI model, imagine chatgpt level conversations with AI in game using prox, that would be absolutely insane
maybe, but if 4.0 has server meshing still and pyro I feel like most people wont mind. That dynamic totally changes if they dont delivery meshing and pyro in 4.0 though
9:25 - It seems this system will allow for people entering into a contract prior to acquiring the resource. Given the complexity of the economic system CIG suggests they want to create, this contract system might be a necessary function for Quantum in creating real and organic demand, supply, and price signals. The question I have though, is if one can enter into a contract to sell something, can one also enter into a contract to buy something? With information from both buy and sell orders, Quantum could create the beginnings of a stock exchange, determine market values, predict future supply and demand, and direct NPC & players to places with the best supply and/or the best per-unit-price through an information system that allows someone to get real-time information on supply and pricing.
I dare someone at CitizenCon to shout out when CR says something about 4.0 coming: "Coming? It isn't even breathing hard!!!". I love the dream of what Citizen could be and the people I meet when I play are great! The CIG estimates for delivery dates is a lot like NASA's estimates for returning to the moon . . . never on target. When we're critical of CIG's delivery "estimates" (even though CR has many times given specific dates) we aren't ripping the developers, programmers, and staff. Most of us get that they're inventing new technologies to even make the dream become a reality. It's just time the higher ups recognize they aren't that great at these aggressive estimates and a more conservative one may be in order. Everyone would think they're miracle workers if they always delivered before the estimated due date rather than always late by years.
Rdr2 had a 500 million dollar budget and SC has made over 700million and its still in alpha. Hurts to say as a die hard fan we may never see a finish product
star citizen is NOT in alpha, that is an excuse to always try and get away with having bugs or faults with the games functions. it is no more an alpha as starwars battlefront II is an alpha, or red dead redemption 2 is an alpha, or how GTA V is an alpha. its essentially a fully released game. and to call it an alpha is an insult to all gamers who deserve better. note im not saying that SC is bad. but its definetly not in the alpha phase anymore, its more what you would call an early access title which is beyond alpha and beta stages, but not quite 1.0 release.
They need to get rid of the auto teleportation after 30 seconds. Give us an opportunity to kill potential thieves. I dont want to get into a firefight just to have the other player disappear while Im shooting him. Its immersion breaking and overly redundant, especially considering the opportunities they have to even get into our hangars in the first place are few and far between.
Hey Just wanted to say night vision in the sense we know today is just light enhancement. good ones have a IR light on them to produce their own light in pitch black situations. but wont make a pitch black space visible without that IR light. love the video as always
@@SaltEMike Yea for sure. I was just saying cause many think NVG's work in pitch black when technically they dont. they need IR light to work. Probably just balance reasons they wont in game. but even IR illuminators on NVG's only give like 20-40 feet of light at best.
I've read at least one comment that the commentor's involvement past 4.0 depends on whether or not 4.0 releases on time. Personally, I'm not worried about 4.0 as long as they keep showing there's actual progress or why there's lack of said progress (detailing the difficulties). I do think it would help the community feel kept in the loop if CIGs' updates revealed more relevant release time scales. For example, I think simply giving us a total percentage of each feature's completed state and projected date for testing release would go a long way. If more granularity was provided, I'd like a sub list under each feature of all its related code modules. Each sub listing could have a check mark for when it's completed, otherwise listed as WIP, and finally, in brackets how much of the total percentage for the feature the module takes up. This would give us some idea of what's going on.. they could probably do this fairly easily by sharing data from their internal project trackers, but this development visibility may be a little too transparent for their tastes.
@@ripbraincells8534ouch.. you're not wrong. Still.. it'd be nice to see a tracker to be able to point to it when they don't deliver... .. ok, yea.. we'll never see this.😂
I think CIG has been in a catch 22 for a long time. The base doesnt like it when they arent transparent of where they are. They also dont like it when they tell us something wont make it. I will say even though CIG still tends to be late with major features and gameplay revamps. They have also been steadily become less and less late with their big deliveries as time has gone on. I was sayings 2 years ago they tend to be late by 2 quarters. They have been pushing it down to pretty consistently being a quarter late for big things. All this is to say, yes we have strung along for a long time while CIG has been getting their feat under them. But I think they have been making pretty steady progress ever since they reached feature complete with SQ42.
I'm listening to this in my car right now and I like how it makes me feel like I'm listening to the news. I can't think back to other week in reviews off the top of my head but I just thought it was really cool, the cadence or something the way your presenting makes it feel like news. Obviously it's star citizen news literally but I just think you did an awesome job.
Pyro has BEEN ready. Server Meshing functions. All 4.0 NEEDS in addition are the transit and mission system refactors. ANYTHING else that isn't ready by their target date WILL be pushed to a later patch. Patch releases are more date-driven than feature-driven, which is why we're waiting on what was kicked out of 3.23 for taking too long. Also, it's not like 4.0 is meant to be the end of the alpha. So if you're thinking it won't make it this year because Server Meshing won't be absolutely perfect by then, HA! 😂 4.0 will get whatever Server Meshing CIG gives it, and improvements will come later. 4.0 is hitting this year, almost certainly before CitCon, so it doesn't leave a shadow over CitCon. NO ONE wants another Road to 4.0 CitCon, least of all CIG. And if it has to be a relatively rough launch, so be it. 🤷🏿♂️
if armistice is going away, we'll need this of course. may as well test it this way. i doubt it's bad given. i agree that the next few weeks of scl will be ones to watch.
What I still haven't heard is that the ships like the Carrack and Reclaimer have a discount cost for auto-loading? Since both ships loke a few others have no feasible way to manually unload cargo by hand. All we can do in those 2 ships is stair at the cargo but can't get it out of the ship.
Been away from SC for a month now... 3.24 W1 and Live will have me back at it. Early 4.0 info had me orinally going from Meh to Wow. Great channel stream, Mike.
@emredeniz2 you commented how a complete universe could be created in any kind of decent time scale based on how long it's already taken to get this far.. First off, they've been developing tech that doesn't exist at the scale they're making, that takes time. As far as making entire systems and a universe, that's completely doable by using carefully created procedural systems and then using AI models to monitor and constraining/govern how each system changes over time. This could be used on politics, economies, trade commodity routes, allies, enemies, NPC sim lives, etc etc. The rough data could be generated with the finer details calculated when a citizen actually approaches a relevant part of the universe. Build one tool, intertwine the various aspects, and the dev just needs top level input to roughly tailor the expected basic user experience in that system. Finally create a top level universe system creator that allows the dev to request new systems (and their parameters as previously mentioned). This system creator could assist the dev by automatically creating neighboring systems that have parameters that make sense in relation to their neighbors and when editing could warn the dev of changes that drastically change the current "environments". The tool would probably take some time to code, but once done would allow for rapid creation of solar systems that would make sense in relation to other systems around them. It can be done, it just depends on how hard a dev wants to work their grey matter.
Question? In 3.24 Hangars update. If I have a Freelancer as my starter ship, but In my fleet I have grinded and worked my way up to a UEC bough in Game purchase of a C2 Star lifter, I won't get a hangar that fits the Star lifer? which seems really unfair. It means I will still need to do the whole nonsense of flying to a base on planet and calling up ground vehicles to load them in to my bigger ship. This seems like a cash grab to get you to buy larger ships just to get the this feature.
So when should we expect 3.24 live? End of August ? I have lost even more faith in CIG. Tired of waiting for them to stumble on to a fix for the current problems. Nothing has changed at CIG, we are still on a slow drip of new content.
the manual loading sounds nice, but for people like me who have a very limited amount of time to play the game i want instant money and resources. i am fine with losing some money to have it unloaded instantly for me. say RMC is going for 14k a piece, i would be fine taking 11k or even 10k a piece for it to be an instant off load process. i get they want to make it immersive and more in tune with their vision but players like me cannot spend hours a day waiting on loading and unloading sequences. hell its already bad enough that i take 30 minutes to mine ore with my argo mole, go to have it refined are moderate speed and yield only for it to take 7 hours. thats to long! 2 hours would be more than fair because that allows me to at least go mine more in that time but 7 hours for a single mole? not worth it. and what about the Hull E? the biggest of the Hull series of ships? are they going to create special SCU sized containers for it? because 32SCU containers on that ship to fully load will take hours. what gamer wants to get on and load their ship and get off until its loaded? it should take no more than 3 minutes to fully load a drake caterpillar, no more than roughly 30 minutes to fully load a ship like the Hull E. again the players time is important and we cant be inconvenienced with such drastic load times that eats HEAVILY into our revenue. maybe later down the line they can tweak it more but right now until at least pyro and one other system is out they really need to not do the loading timer unless they are willing to give those of us with reduced playing time an alternative to keep moving quickly albeit with less profit.
As someone who intends to play only as a trader and build an entire empire on it, I am pleased with the hangar stuff. Still, it would be better if there was a security system in place that disintegrated trespasers instantly.
@8:17 How is that secure? If hangars are meant to serve as our home for now, this is the equivalent of not being able to lock your front door. Any space psycho like me is welcomed in with a 30 second timer to rack up a high score of havoc.
Almost think we need a solid quarter of bugs and QOL focus even if its overall not considered the best to get to the end state of the game, it will make it more playable in that meantime
They can't even get hangars to spawn more than one ground vehicle in a personal hangar in New Babbage in Wave 1. I am so done with this game for now. I'll check back in a year.
@9:00 I'm not sure I like the extra steps to do things, both due to the extra time used to get anything done but also because of the extra steps just being extra chances for bugs. CIG has a long history of their UIS bugging out (how many years have we been dealing with the refinery order terminals bugging out?) Edit: Yay, freaking search at last. If it works globally they deserve kudos. If it's just local then I'll hold on to the kudos.
I still play star citizen, but I do not take them seriously on anyhting they say and I have zero confidence that there will ever be any kind of release, their ability to underdeliver is just unmatched
way too much copium.... I just spent 1.5 hours in evo.. spent most of the time trying to buy some ammo and furniture while waiting for server errors, then got on a tram which left without me, leaving me falling to my death... clearly its ready for something, probably a quick sale at Scooter's.....
Scooters rocks, but yea…crazy how different experiences we can have. I played for hours the other day with some issues but not like that. And the bugs I mentioned smashing I confirmed were fixed. The hull c they said was fixed…is not.
I think that the hangar security/safety systems will be temporary, with currently only four locations with personal hangars and a lot of people. And I hope that the auto loading will have a time vs cost balance (bigger boxes = less time but smaller boxes = more time and cheaper) so people with bigger ships don't automatically have larger profit margins or the other way around, people with smaller cargo ships shouldn't be punished for using one. I have to be honest: I hardly play 3.23, while I love the game (don't get me wrong), but there are big changes coming "soon" that I want to experience and those stand in the way of enjoying the current build. Also kinda wondering: are the personal hangar sizes based on your biggest owned ship or biggest flyable ship? And is it based on pledged, loaner or owned ship? I'm confusing myself by overthinking this and I'm spiralling out >_
Yogi's team has real data analysis problems. What they don't seem to know about the behavior of their ships always outpaces what they seem to know and talk about.
I believe absolutely nothing that is said in regards to SC unless it is actually live and playable on the server. Pyro has been a few months away since 2019!
"Let there be light" sneak peak was ray traced global illumination in my thoughts, because apart from that, the setting seemed like any other pyro-based setting.
we need to be able to have some secure areas, hangers are one that should be since it can access all your stuff. Storage should be very secure as well as flexible for party use. non party members should be harshly dealt with and trespassing should be a criminal offense that can resukt n jail time if you get caught.
We’re back to the slowest time of the year for Star Citizen, both in terms of news and everything else. I feel like the 3.24 patch is now ready for wave 1 based upon my own testing of the latest. I’d like to get the wider community feedback and eyes on the changes, as it will be useful feedback to CIG beyond just Evo.
You won't need to go to a space station to use the ship. My understanding is you'll just get an instanced (non-personal) hangar to use when you request it from ASOP?
Mike you're sounding a bit friendlier after they keep roasting you in the videos. I may totally be reading into it, but don't let them get to you (if they did) - you're the only honest creator out there
I've given up on the game. I feel like i've been led on for years and with the removal of jump rings and port olisar and the introduction of MM... The bad stuff just keeps piling on.
I understand your frustration. There have been many changes recently that I am noz a fan off, including MM. I feel the only teams that know what they are doing are art, planet tech and maybe engine. Game design has gone pretty much off the rails.
Sell orders 'work' or at least can be created already in evo 3.24. But when I try it the buggy Freight Manager confirm screen isn't confirming the delivery when lowering the cargo that was sold.
CIG has a really bad name. So few play, everybody leaves very fast, nothing works, everything is half done. Ships pledged 11 years ago are not even being worked on-that's 11 years of empty promises. The gameplay sucks. Instead of focussing on the MMO, their management team has worked on a billion other games and things with the SC ship money. I don't trust CIG anymore; I am a long-term backer and follower -- my conclusion is that it's a Pozi scheme; they are using new ship sales to keep racking in cash and don't work on the old stuff.
I'm really confused; Has the tech of Night Vision changed? AFAIK since Gen1, Night vision has always been a technology of light enhancement in the visible spectrum but in monochrome. Vision where there is no visible light has usually been in the passive or active IR range and a completely different tech. Or is this a British english thing?
Personally, something I'd like to see eventually (when the game is more stable and fleshed out) is the timer to be kicked out of hangars gone and it just being stand your ground. While I don't particularly want anyone getting on my ship or hiding in my hangar, it was fun trying it once or twice and I've had some surprising experiences with people sneaking on my ship. It may be one of those things though where there should be a small few secure places where you don't need to worry about other people. This just may be one of those places and we leave the stow aways for other locations like mining outposts and such.
At this point CIG beats even Bethesda when it comes to false advertising, broken promises and underdelivery. I thought it was not possible. But here it is.
Im not sure if i missed anything in regards to the hanger size for in game purchased ships. I only real world purchased a cutter, however i own a reclaimer and other large ships from in game currency. Will i have a large personal hanger or one only suited to the tiny ship i started with?
I think they are not doing a ship wipe so the biggest ship you have right now will be the hanger u get.. regardless of store or in game.. and i think thats fair tbh i mean you still earned the ingame ship sooo you should have the hanger for it, unless they wipe the thing?.. and im sure they said they wont if possible.
F8c has more firepower….. The f7a is a military ship, let it be a military ship and not turn into a civilian ship. I didn’t pay for a civilian ship, or a mk 1. The firebird is also a very strong ship, stealth is amazing and the missile barrage is unbeatable, why not nerf that too? Anyways, don’t change my precious f7a mk2, I love it. XD
there needs to be more areas in game where your allowed to basically deal with people without fear of a crime stat . im fine with "secure" areas where you should be charged for aggression . i also think the current system for detecting crimes is just bad , having the coms array just charge you , i think SC needs a witness system if your out in the middle of nowhere how does anyone know? cuz because there is a cell tower over head somewhere doesnt make it immersive
@@doubledigital_ no its not a safe system its not terra , its not magnus or earth which are safe systems stanton is at best a mix of medium and low depending on where you are in the system each ccompany has there own security levels , and the sats need to go period im all for sites having security systems that monitor that you can disable but to have a con array that knows what you do at Ghost hollow is dumb for example or any wreck site for that matter . CIG needs to change this system to a more local one each POI can have a securtiy system if needed which you can disable if nesscary instead of taking down a com sat which shoulndnt see everything even on the other side of the moon or planet
We cant even get 3.24 sorted! There's no way in hell 4.0 is ready in a couple of months! While I still love the project and how far it has come, I would be very appreciative if the devs would stop blowing smoke up my ass and just tell me the truth or not say anything at all until a patch is actually dropping.
>F7A-MK2 drops >F7A is a military model >Military model is designed to have more firepower >People complain about the F7A having too much firepower What?
I almost bought into the F7A, then i remembered all the other fighter models that have been nerfed, and settled into the idea of the Bucaneer as a potential investment oneday maybe
15:50 Pretty he's talkin' about people who claim CIG is being disingenuous when they give estimates, not about people just doubting the estimates. They're not the same kind of salt. Heh.
"The elevator would sometimes disappear" Is the engine just shit? I've seen things in this game that I've never seen anywhere else. When was the last time you fell through the floor in any other game? I can't figure out how SC manages to be so bad
I think the positive mike that you seem to always leave out is the size of the team they have right now and its not supper huge i admit but its a lot bigger than it was, and also the fact the teams have an office they are working out of.. it is a lot better to have most of the teams under one roof than scattered all over the place. When they said 4.0 is not being blocked.. because of patch now.,.. I can bet you for sure once this patch is out the way the team working on it will be going to 4.0 asap. Im looking forward to this year.. more so because we finally get somewhat of a new game.. who wants to rob someone in hurst for a few boxes and get a crime rep when pyro is the place to be for most players.. including the money makers.. reminds me a little of eve online and 0.0 haha I cant wait ^_^ o7
Sorry Mike, but not jumping on the hype train once again, for the the 199th time, and I do not trust the marketing vids! Will believe it when i see things ingame, but still, the even more Time Sinks that are coming in 3.24 is not what I signed up for, as at the time of my pledge, the tech demo was a different game! ThanX for the week in review though! Cheers
If someday 4.0 happens, and they are able to release more Star Systems faster - it might be time for me to get the game. Otherwise, I’ll stick to Squadron42 (I’m more of a single player guy).
the hornet is fine as is, it is the F7A after all, a military class ship, it should have more and bigger guns than others in the same category cause they are Civilian class idk why people still dont get that... Canons overall however need a nerf, the game feels a lot better with repeaters, especially with precission targeting
Cool. We will have fire… and as I know CIG, we will have broken fire extinguishers…. Rather than a fire, I'd like an assigned hangar marker more than 1km away so people don't get in the way of others...

If something like that came into the game, I dont think anyone would be upset if there were a few random locations in Pyro where we could have a player-driven flea market of sorts that required small armisitice zones (like half the size of a mining facility on Stanton).
That would be kind of sick actually
Aaaaaand 20 more years to the dev cycle. I stopped playing whataboutism a long time ago. With the time it takes to build and polish even the most basic systems, if all the mechanics and tech isn't already there or being built, I wouldn't expect anything.
I've given up on SC and S42.
Backing since Jan 2014, answered the call in 2016. Been on hold ever since watching the game get dumbed down left right and center.
It just sucks at this point.
this 100% is how i feel now.
Heck yeah, SaltEMike branded saltshakers when?
I would order those tonight
Instead of 4 patches a year, somehow we've just started to accept 2. This makes me sad.
well i know it may not help but the 2-3 patches we're getting this year will be the size of 5-6 patches we got before
@@orangeoffline5-6 is a bit of a stretch but they are a little bit more of a big deal. Still just an example of them not living up to the expectations they set.
@@orangeoffline I disagree. I see it as an excuse to get away with doing less.
@@orangeoffline 3.24 is slated to be the smallest quarter patch ever released in terms of new features
30 second timer is a classic game development placeholder, we'll have to see what they do with it
Most likely, it's a stop-gap for NPC AI, who would likely issue warnings to leave.
I was thinking to get myself a new computer this year cause I've wanted to play SC, but I'll wait for SQ42 release and then I'll build a new one.
I'm on my 3rd PC since SC was Playable....
Best specs? Was thinking of upgrading as well to run star citizen better
@@schamarath9923 min 32gb of ram, and you'll need a powerful cpu because it's very cpu bound.
I feel like they're adding more to the 4.0 roadmap so that when they will push back certain things it still feels like a huge update
maybe, but if 4.0 has server meshing still and pyro I feel like most people wont mind. That dynamic totally changes if they dont delivery meshing and pyro in 4.0 though
It’s exactly what they did with 3.23.
Mike has the highest quality vids!
I don't mind longer clips, because your context and feedback on them keeps me engaged. I watch all of the CIG videos but not everyone does.
You very well could be right but it would be nice if it didn’t finish because then the game could keep expanding
An mmo doesn't "come out" they update till its death
star citizen is NOT in alpha, that is an excuse to always try and get away with having bugs or faults with the games functions. it is no more an alpha as starwars battlefront II is an alpha, or red dead redemption 2 is an alpha, or how GTA V is an alpha. its essentially a fully released game. and to call it an alpha is an insult to all gamers who deserve better.
note im not saying that SC is bad. but its definetly not in the alpha phase anymore, its more what you would call an early access title which is beyond alpha and beta stages, but not quite 1.0 release.
Zac was telling me that these need light to work and would not work in pitch black, that’s why I made the differentiation.
To be fair, they told us 3.24 features were "weeks, not months" away, so their percentage estimates probably aren't worth much.
16:20 - always nice to get a preview to something we may get next year if we are really lucky lol. 4.0 2024 my a$$
Pyro has BEEN ready.
Really looking forward to 4.01 cargo / persistent hangars
Appreciate these videos! Much easier than keeping up with all the news.
Contested areas sounds like a rebranding of Sean Tracy's Theater of War idea.
What I still haven't heard is that the ships like the Carrack and Reclaimer have a discount cost for auto-loading? Since both ships loke a few others have no feasible way to manually unload cargo by hand. All we can do in those 2 ships is stair at the cargo but can't get it out of the ship.
Nothing based on ships for now.
Reclaimer can be loaded fairly easily. Just can’t use the huge 32 scu crates. Carrack? Yeah that’s a big issue
2 hours would be more than fair because that allows me to at least go mine more in that time but 7 hours for a single mole? not worth it. and what about the Hull E? the biggest of the Hull series of ships? are they going to create special SCU sized containers for it? because 32SCU containers on that ship to fully load will take hours. what gamer wants to get on and load their ship and get off until its loaded? it should take no more than 3 minutes to fully load a drake caterpillar, no more than roughly 30 minutes to fully load a ship like the Hull E. again the players time is important and we cant be inconvenienced with such drastic load times that eats HEAVILY into our revenue. maybe later down the line they can tweak it more but right now until at least pyro and one other system is out they really need to not do the loading timer unless they are willing to give those of us with reduced playing time an alternative to keep moving quickly albeit with less profit.
apparently you can "scan" your face with tobii 5 for the character custom
As someone who intends to play only as a trader and build an entire empire on it, I am pleased with the hangar stuff. Still, it would be better if there was a security system in place that disintegrated trespasers instantly.
I kinda expect 4.0 evocati to drop a few days after 3.24 going to live
@8:17 How is that secure? If hangars are meant to serve as our home for now, this is the equivalent of not being able to lock your front door. Any space psycho like me is welcomed in with a 30 second timer to rack up a high score of havoc.
Almost think we need a solid quarter of bugs and QOL focus even if its overall not considered the best to get to the end state of the game, it will make it more playable in that meantime
They can't even get hangars to spawn more than one ground vehicle in a personal hangar in New Babbage in Wave 1. I am so done with this game for now. I'll check back in a year.
20:20 you don’t have to go to a space station you get a temporary hangar at the spaceports. At least that was my experience last build
Would really like to know where the 600i rework is in this roadmap!!
They should just give all players a large hanger period - standardize it
Equity does not milk whales.
Self-destruct Herc in the middle of a jump....would that count as jump combat?
When I hear "upcoming pyro" I always have the Camural Video in my head where the whole video consists of the phrase "the upcoming pyro system" :D:D:D

I thought that was in?
@@SaltEMike nah, just upscaling and vulkan as graphics options. Ray tracing options aren't in yet.
I feel like 4.0 development is going great, and is really only being held back by the cargo guys not getting 3.24 out
we need to be able to have some secure areas, hangers are one that should be since it can access all your stuff.
The 702 million flailing experiment, riddled with glitches and bugs.
Its become such an embarrasing time sink.
Mike you're sounding a bit friendlier after they keep roasting you in the videos. I may totally be reading into it, but don't let them get to you (if they did) - you're the only honest creator out there
I always say what I think, and my critiques of that stuff isn’t for these videos. Trust me, I’m fine and I’m always gonna be me man.
Sodium Michael enjoys the roast.
I've given up on the game. I feel like i've been led on for years and with the removal of jump rings and port olisar and the introduction of MM... The bad stuff just keeps piling on.
Ok
so of all things to get you off SC, fucking circles, a old (whilst cool) station, and a way to break up the meta and eventually make a better game
Cool
I understand your frustration. There have been many changes recently that I am noz a fan off, including MM. I feel the only teams that know what they are doing are art, planet tech and maybe engine. Game design has gone pretty much off the rails.
@@orangeoffline not everyone cares about PvP, or its meta, some of us just want to be able to enjoy flying itself.
awesome ep mike
Thanks for this clear and reasonable update o7
I knew the cargo update was going to be delayed, sounded too good to be true at the time and the fact its taking so long is not surprising at all.
I mean, we all did…this bad though?
Cit-con 2954 : "pyro targeted for summer 2025, but hey, we are selling the F9A mk2"
Great work on these videos Mike! I know it's not always easy but we appreciate it, keep it up!
Any word on ships randomly exploding bug when you exit from the hangars in Orison?
How can 4.0 be still on Target, they can't even get 3.24 into the PTU! 🤷♂
Kind of the point of the video…that are saying it is. Do we buy it?
@@SaltEMike I'm certainly Not buying it, I think we will be lucky to see a stable 3.24 patch by Citizen Con at this point :(

The CitCon Trout is what I heard at first.
I do wonder how these additions will hold up under current lag, desync and server error to mission drop.
Still, i'm hopefull
F8c has more firepower….. The f7a is a military ship, let it be a military ship and not turn into a civilian ship. I didn’t pay for a civilian ship, or a mk 1. The firebird is also a very strong ship, stealth is amazing and the missile barrage is unbeatable, why not nerf that too? Anyways, don’t change my precious f7a mk2, I love it. XD
there needs to be more areas in game where your allowed to basically deal with people without fear of a crime stat . im fine with "secure" areas where you should be charged for aggression . i also think the current system for detecting crimes is just bad , having the coms array just charge you , i think SC needs a witness system if your out in the middle of nowhere how does anyone know? cuz because there is a cell tower over head somewhere doesnt make it immersive
no more cell towers in pyro ^_^ .. stanton is the safe system anyways so its mean to be for everyone.. not just shit hot gamers xD
My mental health has never depended on the developmental progress of any video game, movie, tv series or book series.
Ok…
>F7A-MK2 drops
>F7A is a military model
>Military model is designed to have more firepower
>People complain about the F7A having too much firepower
What?
they shouldn't have released the F7A. at all. we wouldn't be having this problem
I almost bought into the F7A, then i remembered all the other fighter models that have been nerfed, and settled into the idea of the Bucaneer as a potential investment oneday maybe
Hopefully "better late than never" will apply to this situation
15:50 Pretty he's talkin' about people who claim CIG is being disingenuous when they give estimates, not about people just doubting the estimates. They're not the same kind of salt. Heh.
Sneaking onto ships in hangars is the lamest for of emergent gameplay glad its in part being addressed
"The elevator would sometimes disappear"
Is the engine just shit? I've seen things in this game that I've never seen anywhere else. When was the last time you fell through the floor in any other game? I can't figure out how SC manages to be so bad
well light enhancement is night vision. It's not however, heat vision... thankfuly
I cant wait for Pyro coming just after Citizencon, but THIS time for real.... ~.~
Pyro has been the longest road...
Can't wait to get my Zeus! Great update
Im looking forward to this year.. more so because we finally get somewhat of a new game.. who wants to rob someone in hurst for a few boxes and get a crime rep when pyro is the place to be for most players.. including the money makers.. reminds me a little of eve online and 0.0 haha
I cant wait ^_^

Sorry Mike, but not jumping on the hype train once again, for the the 199th time, and I do not trust the marketing vids! Will believe it when i see things ingame, but still, the even more Time Sinks that are coming in 3.24 is not what I signed up for, as at the time of my pledge, the tech demo was a different game!
ThanX for the week in review though! Cheers
I’m with ya man, thanks for watching.
Honestly im over it at this point. Next year or next month is always 4-5 years away. I am just glad I stopped at one ship
It would be awesome if "Grand Prize" was blueprints to craft things. So there is need to gather resources and play further.
That would be amazing
Just fix my damn Cutlass bed logging!
Look, if they had persistent hangars three months ago, maybe I'd be confident that they will get 4.0 out this year.
