Hey! Loving all your videos. Is it possible for you guys to add Redshift tests? It is a very popular render engine that focuses on using GPUs and is very fast compared to other methods. The Xcode benchmark @3:50 is not a proper comparison. The Xcode time for the Intel iMacs should be much lower. I bought a refurbished base model iMac Pro from Amazon last year and I am very happy with it and it operates very well for my day to day uses. I wish Apple would offer an updated iMac Pro.
this is great for pro users but it sucks for the normal user who used to be able to get a 27" iMac with KB and Mouse for under $2000. I do not like the direction Apple is going. The mini and new display still cost more than a better spec'd 27" from 2020, and the 2020 model had upgradable ram. The 24" is too limited ( sorta like the 21.5" used to be ) but the new display and mini or Studio cost way more. Good video for the professionals though.
There's also a 14 and 18 core iMac pro. You can get these used in mint condition for around 3-4k USD. This is what I did, because upgrading my software for Apple Silicon would have been another 2000 USD.
My job is 3D visualizations, so more cores and a good cooling system are important to me. A used iMac Pro 18 core was the best affordable solution for me (used Mac Pros 2019 are still way too expensive) The most expensive software I would have to upgrade is Cinema 4D R20 which runs perfectly on any Intel Mac but needs an upgrade to R23/24/25 to work with M1. In which country do you live?
I’m just still amazed how Apple silicon has insane efficiency and then somehow managed to push more performance at the same time, imagine how that efficiency scales globally too, it’s a great step into saving power for other resources and ultimately our planet
So would getting a M1 Ultra Studio be a BIG difference in speed compared to a 3.6 i9 27" iMac 2020? Live Streaming, FCP, Guitar Audio pluggins and Basic everyday usage.
The studio display may beat the old IMac Pro as it should since the IMac Pro is an older generation. This should not surprise anyone. Most professional video editors would use these and that is what dominates the discussion on your RUclips and on other geek radio podcasts. I think an even bigger market and discussion should be centered around just the larger 27’ iMac (not the “pro”) but there is very little discussion on that product. Consumers don’t need the old IMac “pro” nor its replacement Mac Studio. What they need is a 27’ IMac with mini-led, pro motion, center stage, and maybe the ability to upgrade the processor to M1 Pro. They want the larger monitor and maybe a little more power.
Y’all want to hear something crazy, so for my senior year of high school I made a documentary that was made up of interviews from teachers on my class, class of 2021, and student interviews. It was about an hour long. I used Resolve to edit it and I kid you not, my M1 MacBook Pro finished in 28 minutes. I also have a pc that has a 6700xt and it exported in 26 and this was using its encoders. I know AMD graphics cards aren’t the best but still impressive that the M1 could keep up. The video contained a mix of h.264 and h.265 footage. The sad thing is only like ten out of the fifty kids in my grade decided to show up to see it
Its all about the screen and $. I do all PRINT work, magazine design, 500 pages a month across several titles. 5K screen has become a standard in my workflow. 4K screen next to it just not as sharp. ram,Ive been running a 2014 iMac, 32/1 TB flash + 2 extra screens for years... but time to upgrade. Even with 32 GB of ram, tons of ram swapping was hindering. Waited patiently, cause I knew the mini wasnt gonna cut it.... wanted a 32" iMac sooooo bad... only to get this. Studio 64/1tb + 5K display = $4500. And 12 week waiting. No way. Even if I went with a nice 32" 4K Dell/Benq/Proart = $4000. So picked up a refurb 2020 iMac, 8 core, 1 TB, for $1800. Added 128 GB ram for $400... half the cost. Get to keep 5K screen, plenty of GPU and still fast flash + Tbolt. Maybe in a few years a studio might be ok for some. Of course, then you have to deal with iOS Monterey. Yes. I said iOS. Its awful..
Not surprised. M1 has only been faster and faster. My issue is the damn price compared to the iMac 27". Felt so good to get an excellent performance all-in-one for its price. Now you have to pay a lot more for a bit less convenience. Heaven forbid they have a bigger version of even their 24" iMacs. Preferably more GPU cores.
Great comparison! Much appreciated. Apple tells me my iMac Pro is worth $1445 on trade-in, which isn't close to enough to cover the cost of upgrading to a Studio Ultra machine (since I would need a display as welll), and while the Max is better, that would really be a sideways move from my perspective. I think I'm going to wait a few more years and then replace the iMac Pro with whatever Apple has at that time. One thining I wanted to point out is the iMac Pro machines had 10GBE in them and that was a main reason I bought that over the i9 machines because it permitted me to move all my drives to the server room and still have very good speed access to my files. These Studio machines appear to all have the 10 GBE built in, so that is great.
The combination of bandwidth, dedicated processors, and unified memory is a winner, the thing reminds me of the O2, which was also a turning point in price, size, and performance, geared to visual pros, and made it possible to do all kinds of wonderful new things.
But mate, your spec on the Imac Pro is way lower: 8c and 32GG ram compared to 20c 64GB ram. Of coirse it'll be a ot lower. I'm dissapointed by your lack of comparison. I'm not going to watch past the 1:30 i stopped at.
In the end what really matter is what you’re capable of doing with it, not the machine that you use which is just a few seconds faster or slower on achieving the same job. Computers are just tools. Nice improvements overall anyway. Good job Max.
To me, if you have the 2020 5700xt version of the iMac intel based, I still think it's not worth upgrading until perhaps M3 Mac Studio or iMac M3. The gains wouldn't be enough to justify the cost. I have both, M1 Pro and iMac 2020 5700xt and the Intel version can easily catch up granted it has more fan noise and does heat up a bit more. To me, I don't mind since I can just walk away from rendering or because I love the 5k screen on my iMac more than my studio display.
Hello! Your comment aligns with my current dilemma, so I would like to ask your opinion. My old 2013 IMAC 27inch crashed last week. I just ordered a 2020 IMAC i7, 1TB, Radeon 5700XT 16, 8gb memory but will upgrade. Now I am considering the Mac Studio2 and adding a studio display, because of the performance on Final Cut Pro, which is what I use. What are your thoughts? The 2020 IMAC is $2100 shipped to me. The 2023 Mac Studio will be the $2000 version with a $1400 Studio Display, so around $3400. Anyone's opinion is welcomed. Thanks!
Great video! This is the exact performance comparison i've been waiting for. It's quite impressive just how well an iMac pro holds up after all these years. Thanks
I just 'upgraded' to the Studio M1 Max, coming from a 2019 iMac with the i9, only upgrade was to 64GB memory. I've run the benchmarks on my local machines and while the M1 Max wins on paper, I'm almost certain my 2019 iMac is faster. For reference, on my 2019 iMac, I had two Samsung 27" displays @ 1080 connected via HDMI to USB-C. On my Studio M1 Max, I have the Studio Display and two LG 27" Ultrafine @ 2160. My pre-purchase excitement kind of died down once I was up-and-running. I'm a little concerned because I just purchased a third LG UltraFine, I'm just hoping things don't get worse.
I hope you guys are retesting the Max and Ultra Studio machines with Final Cut 10.6.2. And I'm hoping there's a substantial difference. Thanks for all your efforts!
Like your contents! One small suggestion ... Will it be better if you use different colors to differentiate "higher is better" and "lower is better" results? Such as green for the former and red for the later, etc.
I honestly still see the iMac Pro with the xeon 10 cores or higher as a better value than paying for the Mac Studio, Studio Display, Keyboard and Mouse in my opinion. The iMac Pro and 27inch iMac may be slower depending on some instances, specs and compatibility of the software your using but for the price they go for now and the power they have specially if you spec it out it will last a long time plus they come with everything build in and won’t have problems with adaptation for some plug ins. Apple’s silicone is impressive but I feel its been over hyped a bit, so for me I would still prefer a 27inch iMac which I could upgrade the ram easily or a high end iMac Pro for a cheaper price than the new Mac Studio and the ridiculously priced Studio Display plus mouse and keyboard.
Meh the mac studio & studio display are a much better deal as they are faster in just about everything. Single core performance is the most important spec as most software doesn’t utilize multiple cores. The studio mac is almost twice as fast in that regard
@@chidorirasenganz The point isn’t wether or not the m1 is more power or not. My point is that for more than 95% of the mac users a high spec 27inch iMac or iMac Pro will still be over kill for a cheaper price and it includes more for less. The M1 Mac Mini may be more powerful in some stuff but you still have to buy the over priced monitor, the over priced keyboard and mouse. With the 27inch iMacs you still get very powerful machines and they already have a screen that is basically the same as the Studio Display. The difference that it does have for the majority of people it will be either unnoticeable or won’t care. Just because Apple releases a new computer now every year doesn’t mean the older ones are instantly useless. For me I can see myself buying a high spec’d iMac Pro for way lower than it used to be and have a powerful machine that still looks and works good for everything I need. So like I said on my first comment. For me I still prefer a high end 27inch iMac or iMac Pro and will feel like Im getting more for less and won’t have to think about compatibility issues from programs or plug ins running bad in Rossetta 2
@@ANGERINSIDE that’s exactly what I did. I just purchased an 8 core 27 inch IMac from Apple refurbished with the 5700xt and purchased 3rd party 128GB ram. I originally just wanted a better display to work with my MB pro but when I saw the price of the studio display for $1600 it made sense to just by a high end iMac for about the same price 😎
A great review as always guys, but I think if you are outside the world of video editing and even light video editing the iMac 2020 and the iMac Pro are still workhorses. We use Macs for my work and one of the things we do work in is Virtualization and if that is your world as much as we love these new Macs we can not transition over. For new team members coming to the group, we have to search the company's inventory for the Intel Macs because we still can't use the new machines.
How much of a performance upgrade would there be getting the base M1 Max adding 64gig Unified Ram and the extra GPU cores to 32? Is it worth it? In all your reviews to date you have not covered this info.
I have the i9 10 core 5700XT 16gb fully specked out. I use Lightroom Classic, Photoshop and FCPX. It is doing a pretty good job, but is sluggish a lot of the time. Thinking about upgrading to a Studio M1 Max. Do you think this would speed things up enough to be worth it? I've only had it for 2 years.
Hard to tell. It should speed up click to click operations by about 40% , which makes things very snappy. I went with iMac pro 10 core 64Gb Ram for photography - pretty happy with the performance and the savings. 5K monitors are nice but not necessary for photo editing. What did you end up doing?
I have Studio Display but I finally bought a MBP14 to connect it with. Mac mini is still a good choice (but end of product cycle) It should be refreshed this year.
Would you be able to let us know if the After Effects benchmarks were run on the release (Intel-optimized) version of AE at the time, or the M1-optimized (then beta, now release) versions of AE? Thanks for your review, it's helpful as I'm spec-ing out potential refresh for my classroom.
hi. my problem is when i pay money for new mac then i maybe have to buy an new interface and some of my favorites plug ins plus like Expansion BFD2 because might wont work on new mac and it would be out of my budget. so what would you say, how long will the intel macs like iMac i9 10 core be supported by Apple updates? thanks for your time and sorry for my bad English i hope you would get what im trying to say ;)
I only see this video as a way to convince people on older intel Mac’s to switch over. I doubt this will convince people using newer computers with 10th or 12th gen intel chips or AMD ryzen 5000 chips to switch to Apple silicon. 10th gen is already over 2 years old so of course it’s slower than the competition in the high end market
It's kinda like comparing GTX 1080 with Radeon RX 6800 XT and saying "look how AMD killed Nvidia". :D Yes, M1 chips are neat, but comparing current gen M1 chips to iMac's with old gen Intel chips? :D
But I paid $2500 cad Apple refurbished for my 2020 iMac 27" 5700xt, whereas the M1 Max costs $2500 cad, plus you needa monitor and keyboard and mouse.+++++ My iMac got the 8gb ram and 1tb ssd, upgradded ram to 64GB aftermarket for $240 cad. M1 Max 32 core with 1tb and apple display was going to cost me $5647 cad, saving me $3147 buying iMac? What do you think.
my 2013 iMac crashed and I just bought the same machine as you have. How is it? Now I am contemplating spending the extra money for the Mac Studio2 with display. Like you I would be spending $1500 more. How is your 2020 iMac performing? Thanks!
@@atifrana917 I haven't had any issues I have the Apple Care warranty, so not worried. So far it runs like a dream, playing War Thunder in it regularly.
Hahaha, I'm not surprised by this result, but I've seen many times before that iMac Pro users "didn't really believe" that there was such a gap. Plus, the M1's low power consumption has the powerful advantage that your UPS can be used for a long time at critical moments with grace and ease.
At 7:50, is your chart wrong, or did you make a mistake? You said that the M1 Max was "faster" in Blender, but it took 58 seconds while the Vega took 50 seconds, and the 5700XT took 48 seconds. Your chart says "lower is better" so what's the story? Then you go on to say that the Ultra is "also faster", which, once again means that that you are saying that the M1 Max is faster than the Vega and the 5700XT. Your chart shows that the Ultra is faster, but the M1 Max was definitely NOT faster. You then go on to explain how Blender isn't optimized for Apple Silicon, but that doesn't change the fact that in it's current configuration, the M1 Max is NOT faster in Blender than then older Vega and 5700XT. Please explain.
No need to say, "As far as this. As far as that." Just say "for this," and "for that." Or, "in this and "in that." Also, no need to keep saying, "With that said." It gets very, very, very, VERY repetitious. (Nota bene from a professional broadcaster--and a fan.)
I have the 10 core I9 iMac with the 16GB 5700XT GPU and do a combination of Web Design in Photoshop, Graphic Design in Illustrator, Photography in Lightroom, Web Development in Sublime and Music Production using Ableton. My iMac is fairly solid. Looking at those benchmarks, I feel like maybe either the 32 core Max or the 48 core Ultra would be my best options.
The studios are good for a 1st gen product, and the ultra will most likely get software optimizations that will really allow it to open up in terms of gpu speed. I still prefer the all in one design, personally - but if I was going for anything above the base model, the studio is a better option for longevity. The studio display is not well priced - far too expensive for what it can currently do. If they made use of the a series chip in there, and allowed for at least tvOS to run on the display independently, then it might have made a bigger splash. Apple really should have at least worked out how to do promotion on this display, if not mini LED. Fingers still crossed for that 27” iMac with that tech included.
I have a 4-year-old iMac Pro with 8 cores. Thanks for the comparison. I need the 4 TB SSD, so I guess I have to get the M1 Ultra. We are supposed to replenish every 3 years so I am overdue already. Good to see the big boost in Xcode performance.
These are all *very* niche real life benchmarks. I would argue that the majority of the people will never use this software. I want to see other examples as well, such as how good these things are in data science, statistics or modeling, vs CUDA and so on. I get it. These chips are good, but EVERY reviewer does the same thing: Cinebench and co and it does not help.
This is a mac for studios. So by it’s definition it’s nichie. That said I think that the each niche should be handled by SMEs rather than people who have no experience with that niche
@@chidorirasenganz That is true (that is a mac for studios) but every other mac with m1, be it macbook pro, air, etc. has the same tests run on it. And it is getting frustrating not to know what that chip can do OTHER than rendering.
I think that given enough compute the Xcode benchmark becomes more I/O bound than cpu or memory bound. My similar i9 with a 2TB SSD gets below 200 seconds on that benchmark. Also, there are parts of the build process that are single threaded, so single core performance can have a significant effect on build times.
If you look a the benchmark git repo, you can see on the results that the benchmark is heavily relies on single threaded perf, and doesn’t scale well. If you build with ninja or make, the many cores perform much better.
@@tompp2100 I can confirm that cmake/ninja is great for maximizing the use of a machines cores. We have to throttle back the number of cores being used when building locally or the workstation becomes unusable. I have tried using ninja to build Swift or ObjectiveC, we use it for C++.
Guys I love your videos, but you often show incorrect prices. The price of Mac Studio should Include Studio Display, Apple mouse and keyboard. That is what people get with the iMac.
Nice video. You touch upon two key issues Apple has right now; sub-optimal coding & software architecture. It’s a shame you omitted the Affinity Combined scores as these simulate a multi-engine workload and showcase UMA advantage vs discrete systems. Also the Redshift BenchmarkingTool is about to get an update to allow more RAM to be used which should benefit M1 Max/Ultra performance. I wonder if tile memory could be used to hold geometry data for RT?
naked benchmark and real work in a real project are somewhat different... apple silicone, I'm sure it's a breakthrough, but increasing the area of the crystal is a utopia... when the area of the crystal exceeds the area of the ipad, what then? although with such energy efficiency it is possible to arrange the transistor keys not horizontally, but vertically ... in any case, this is very interesting - this is evolution on the air
As much I as I like M1 chips, they're not as fast as these benchmarks make it be. It's always the same benchmarks every time. M1 is like a cluster of ASIC chips put together that do very well in given applications, but when there is no software support, it'll run like a turtle 🤣 This is why x86 CISC is better.
The same applies to x86. If the software support isn't there, it runs like a turtle too. This is why for years, even with intel chips, Macs were much faster for video editing/exporting (Final Cut) than overpowered PCs (Premiere Pro) - not to mention much more stable. The benefits of ARM far outweigh the negatives.
OMG thank you for testing After Effects. There are like only a handful of After Effects benchmark videos. Even if AE isn’t fully optimized yet, I just need ballpark estimates to know which model I should budget for. Thanks again!!
LOL @Maxtech you completely screwed up my release schedule! I wouldn't hold my breath. I think they would have kept the 27" iMacs on their site if that was the case. They have kept the intel mac minis for example.
I got my iMac i9 right when Apple announces moving to SoC and don't feel any need to move to Mx until the next generation. I mainly do music not graphic and I monitor CPU and my 32GB RAM and all my work I have plenty of headroom especially CPU. Plus I have the same display as the new Studio Display so all good there too. I can wait and for the next generation or two before moving to SoC and sure waiting will provide more tuning and tweaks to make it worth it then.
The display is not the same as the Studio display is slightly better. With that said, I was kind of upset at the pricing as I paid about $4k for my loaded 2015 27" iMac in Canada. I had $5k set aside to replace it with a loaded new iMac with a bit extra saved for inflation, and now that will just get me into the entry level setup.
Grammar Nazi here. Thanks for the helpful comparison video. Think I'll hang onto my 2020 8-core iMac i7/5500XT 'til we see what the M2 chip brings us... which hopefully will include an iMac Studio machine. BTW: the correct spelling is "spatial."
I suspect that a lot of the studio software out there is undergoing major coding updates to take advantage of the M1 Max and M1 Ultra CPU's. These specs are only going to get better in a short amount of time.
Suggestion: Review of Avid Media Composer numbers on the base and Ultra models. Nome has done ir before and I bet there are some thousands of users willing to watch it.

Consumers don’t need the old IMac “pro” nor its replacement Mac Studio. What they need is a 27’ IMac with mini-led, pro motion, center stage, and maybe the ability to upgrade the processor to M1 Pro. They want the larger monitor and maybe a little more power.
unfortunately, Apple has not come out with a 27" iMac with M1 or M2 cpu's. Hopefully soon though.
@normanmello9884 no signs of any 27" imacs with AS... as of 2024
Y’all want to hear something crazy, so for my senior year of high school I made a documentary that was made up of interviews from teachers on my class, class of 2021, and student interviews. The sad thing is only like ten out of the fifty kids in my grade decided to show up to see it
Is your AE test in the beta? The beta is M1 native, but the shipping version is not.
No mention the cable clutter that the aio imac doesn’t have.
At 7:55 you say the M1 Max is "a little bit faster" but the graphic shows that it is slower. Unless I'm understanding incorrectly?
So, where would one look up that Logic Pro test you used?
Why nothing about the screen? Are they the exact same quality and resolution?
The gain isn’t worth the huge cost difference.😊
Good job Max.
so it doesnt matter that you save 10-15min of encoding? i think your reasoning is very flawed
Thanks
7:57 Are those numbers correct? The M1 Max is the slowest by far, but you said it's faster than the other Intels.
So adding monitors makes it slower?
I don't get the speedometer 2.0 result. On my iMac 27 2020 model with the 3.3 GHz i5, I get 191. How can the 10 core model perform worse
I hope you guys are retesting the Max and Ultra Studio machines with Final Cut 10.6.2. And I'm hoping there's a substantial difference. Thanks for all your efforts!

@@chidorirasenganz Even the cheapest configuration w/ the monitor isn’t anywhere near the same cost as the i7 2020 iMac …
@@digital4282 pretty sure the i7 iMac is beaten by the Mac mini
You said in the video that the M1 Max was faster than the Intel iMacs for the Blender BMW test but the chart shows that both Intel Macs are faster.
Thank you for testing it for After Effects. Means a lot for us working in Motion Graphics.
they didn't kill intel. they killed the people who bought apple intel computers
Me: still working on mac pro 3,1 2008
Max Tech: 27" i9 imac is kinda slow
🤡
A great review as always guys, but I think if you are outside the world of video editing and even light video editing the iMac 2020 and the iMac Pro are still workhorses. We use Macs for my work and one of the things we do work in is Virtualization and if that is your world as much as we love these new Macs we can not transition over. For new team members coming to the group, we have to search the company's inventory for the Intel Macs because we still can't use the new machines.
Breaking news..!! A newly released model beats an older model. How shocking....
In other news, water is wet
No one talks about the Mac Mini / Studio monitor combo. That is the combo 99% of users would be best served with.
Would be nice a comparison with the 18-core Xeon processor iMac Pro and Vega Pro 64X.
Can Mac run the ArcGIS, autoCAD, and minescape app? Thinking about getting one but i dont know if MacOS can run this type of applications?
As long you dont try to compare with Mac Studio i think is worth it..
my 2013 iMac crashed and I just bought the same machine as you have. How is it? Now I am contemplating spending the extra money for the Mac Studio2 with display. Like you I would be spending $1500 more. How is your 2020 iMac performing? Thanks!
@@atifrana917 mine is 2020 27"iMac 8 core Intel 5700xt 16gb.
Have you tested any Insta 360 footage like conversion or editing / export ?! How fast are they in Mac Studio ?! Nice video, Thanks :)
Thank You @MaxTech for including After Effects on this review, very helpful
The i9 iMac seems to hold its own on the Puget Bench score.
Can you please include Capture One Pro in photo editing tests?
I think it's all about ARM architecture and X86 architecture that makes all different to the performance
No need to say, "As far as this. As far as that." Just say "for this," and "for that." Or, "in this and "in that." Also, no need to keep saying, "With that said." It gets very, very, very, VERY repetitious. (Nota bene from a professional broadcaster--and a fan.)
Apple X1 is gonna be a threadripper but silicon
I have the 10 core I9 iMac with the 16GB 5700XT GPU and do a combination of Web Design in Photoshop, Graphic Design in Illustrator, Photography in Lightroom, Web Development in Sublime and Music Production using Ableton. My iMac is fairly solid. Looking at those benchmarks, I feel like maybe either the 32 core Max or the 48 core Ultra would be my best options.
I want a time machine feature for my iPhone where I can locally back up everything to a hard drive

Perfect! Finally supr comparison !!!!
Thank you!
intel mac are really good, im interested to purchase but the price is a joke despite the advent of m1 macs.
Instead of saying "three time less', how about '1/3rd the power'?
That’s true. English second language..
Can we get a video on m1 ultra full spec against intel core i3 overclocked
Why a core i3. That’s a low end intel chip. That should be compared against the base m1 not the m1 ultra
@@crestofhonor2349 it was a joke.
AMD GPUs don’t have CUDA cores
@@crestofhonor2349 That is your main takeaway?
@@chidorirasenganz That is true (that is a mac for studios) but every other mac with m1, be it macbook pro, air, etc. has the same tests run on it. And it is getting frustrating not to know what that chip can do OTHER than rendering.
Still believe we´ll see an M2Pro/Max bigger iMac. Apple names the M1 iMac "24 inch iMac" instead of just "iMac".
We need FCPX asap. I’m still waiting for my ULTRA
Guys I love your videos, but you often show incorrect prices. The price of Mac Studio should Include Studio Display, Apple mouse and keyboard. That is what people get with the iMac.
Notifications gang checking in! Been waiting on this one!
Me too
315 tracks on logic is mad lol! I'm convinced to get the ultra now!
Stop using the BMW scene for benchmarks.
Signed, a Blender developer.
naked benchmark and real work in a real project are somewhat different... apple silicone, I'm sure it's a breakthrough, but increasing the area of the crystal is a utopia... when the area of the crystal exceeds the area of the ipad, what then? although with such energy efficiency it is possible to arrange the transistor keys not horizontally, but vertically ... in any case, this is very interesting - this is evolution on the air
Ahh can you test the speaker different between the Studio Display and the iMac Pro please?
What about the new m1 iMac vs. the base studio Mac
Ugh why can’t apple have more space grey options on their Mac Products looks so much better!
LOL @Maxtech you completely screwed up my release schedule! So the one I made for today will be for next Friday. I'm thinking I may want to start releasing 2 to 3 per week, perhaps a Monday/Wednesday/Friday kind of deal? I'm confident Apple will make a 27" iMac Pro in the near future.
I wouldn't hold my breath. I think they would have kept the 27" iMacs on their site if that was the case. They have kept the intel mac minis for example.
But why compare a 5 year old machine to a new 2022 Mac?
For me, I am after the experience of using an iMac instead of a pc monitor with mac mini or studio.
It's time to throw a Mac Pro in comparison
YES what I was waiting for the iMac Pro test
4K60fps all videos!
Make a review video on Iphone Se 2022
Good thing I shoot raw !
All of those tests pretty much mean nothing to the majority, since most only care about game performance.
