    What this has shown is that CSP needs a vector fill tool

    Thank you so much for sharing the speech balloon technique!!! It shows a very time-saving alternative to drawing up to the lines underneath a linework just to fill that shape without the worry of being too under or over the linework.

    I would want to suggest something, when we use vector with symmetry tool, its great till we keep drawing, but when we want to edit some part, the other part doesnt update, it would great if the other updated too, there could be an toggle button, Thanks!

      Yes! I would like this too. I find it weird the symmetry tool behaves this way, and for erasing you have to use transparent color with your brush to erase

      Uh, idk it worked for me? I think you just need to have snappingcturned on, on the move tool? Maybe im wrong though.. but i could have sworn it was updqting both sides i was moving..

      The eraser tool doesnt have vector snapping on by default but it can be toggled. I think every tool can do this except lasso fill.

    (Google translate) Great about the custom tool. CSP will make a leap the day it includes filling vector strokes with variable width. It is also strange not having the option to export vectors as EPS to market them and not having to depend on Adobe.

    Personally, I hope Celsys make some improvements to the vector workflow. They don't need to turn CSP into the next Adobe Illustrator but they should copy some of AI's powerful vector tools. A tool similar to AI's Live Paint Bucket tool, for example, for creating vector fills. Reducing the number of control points on inked vector lines would be a huge boon also since, currently, you are very limited when you want to make adjustments to the lines. You're better off just redrawing the line, as shown in this video, rather than trying to move the control points. Also, the Pinch Tool is okay but Celsys should look at the Concepts application's Nudge Tool--which is what the Pinch Tool should have been.

    Geníal lo de la herramienta personalizada. CSP dará un salto el día que incluya rellenar trazos vectoriales con ancho variable. Al igual se extraña no tener opción de exportar los vectores como EPS para comercializarlos y no tener que depender de Adobe.

    Line width control is something unique to every artist that makes it their style, why would anyone want to automate that?

    • @silverembers
      @silverembers 2 года назад +5

      I know when animating, I sometimes mess up my line width and it isn’t as consistent as I want it to be. Having an option to adjust it helps me a lot! It doesn’t mean all the lines need to be the same width though, I agree that line art can be a big part of someone’s style
      Though, I will say that the neat thing about this vector tool is the fact that adjusting the width doesn’t always take away from the style ^^

    • @sharkfiesta
      @sharkfiesta 2 года назад +5

      Variety is the spice of life! An artist can have their own style in most pieces and also automate some steps in others! Like the video explains, this just takes a lot of the guesswork and re-doing bits when scaling for print/stickers/various media.

    • @anr5525

      youd be surprise how important line weight consistency is in animation. were usually given a standard on how thick the line is, usually around 4 pixels but entirely depends on the production

    Although I appreciate your effort , it's better to use another software so that you create custom shapes which you can fill with color and it's already a vector drawing. in your example not only you have to draw the lineart in vectors but then you have to re-pass the lineart with baloons (which are shapes in other vector drawing sw) that can be filled... double work = no way
