Im looking at purchasing this bike over xmas 2024 . Erm - im transitioning from DH standard v10 santa cruz .. Too emtb enduro .. And RANGE is a big must for myself as im forever on the move .. Im not upto date with the motor tech & battery .. yet im forever being informed to go with the BOSCH setup - what is everyones views upon the differences and performance , durability etc - im all ears folks ??? Yee'uuww✌️
We have love for both the Shimano and Bosch setups - they each have their pro's and cons. In fact, we have done a video on this topic! Watch Here: ruclips.net/video/6T8svQj_mDQ/видео.html
Here on western Colorado Rockies, vertical feet of gain is the only relevant metic anybody uses to describe a ride. I am wondering how many vertical feet the EP8- 01 will go before it poops out. Going 30 miles on relatively flat terrain tells me nothing useful. And one of the problems with the original EP8 and it’s battery are that it has less than industry standard climbing range. I am interested in a bike equipped with the EP8-01. I just need to know if it will handle 3000-4000 vertical feet on a single charge.
@@bikesonline yes elevation gain is the most important, I doubt you would be able to do 35miles with 5-6k vert on a single charge. Mentioning the elevation would give us at least some sort of benchmark
@@gnar_tar I'm on the Cannondale Moterra Neo 4, same motor and battery. 21.5 miles, 1,887ft elevation gain, 10.3 miles in boost, 5.4 miles in trail, 5.7 miles in Eco.
I guess if you only use power when absolutely needed in between your workout ride, the battery lasts a lot longer. That’s how I use it and last so much longer.
Polygon from Indonesia, thanks you make Polygon famous brand in the world.i m from Indonesia froud of you Polygon.
excellent test
A good stat to include in the progress of the battery would have been elevation gain, but still an awesome video!
Thank you for watching!
I would love having this bike but with a Bosch motor.
Right on!

Good vid!
Can you maybe comment on the ep801 rattling? Does it improve over the previous ep8 version?
Thanks!
The rattle has definitely improved!
Theres a rattle but not really any worse than a chain
How much vertical?
Are we referencing elevation gain?

What settings was used to get that range?
About 90% in trail mode :)
What about a range extender?
Its not something we offer at this time.
Need to know rider weight and elevation gain for this to be useful. Thanks for the effort though.
No problem!
My Timp Peak with EP801 can do at least 40 miles and 4000ft using Eco mode 95% of ride. Im 200# loaded up.
Nice!!

Makes sense!
