    When I was in school, I didn't like history, but as I got older, I realized it was much more interesting than learning about history in school. I enjoy learning now.

    You both did a great job visiting this museum and not forget how we got the freedom we have. Im Vietnam Marine and have completed allot of my bucket list. I made to Normandy a couple of years ago and was overwhelmed by the amount of our soldiers that gave their lives there. The Local people were really good to Americans. Again great job.

    Hello Mike, Lynn and 4 legged movie stars. One of my Uncles fought in WW1. He lived to be over 100. He was a sharpshooter, today called sniper. He was a very conservative back woods sort of man yet very gentle. Was a master carpenter etc. He shave with his GI issued razor for over 50 years after the war. Traded in his 56 chevy (in 1967) and dealer mechanic came out and said Sir this car has the original brakes on it.. How did you do this.. his reply " well I knew where I was going to stop so I would just start slowing down ahead of where I needed to stop."

    • @WanderingWagners
      @WanderingWagners  Год назад

      Wow, that's very interesting! He sounds like my grandparents with the brakes though haha
      Lynn's grandpa's fought in WWII and he's 100 currently! Crazy how time flies honestly. Hopefully there's never a WWIII

    Hey! Just made a reservation to camp with Reserve America. At the end of reserving, another box popped up called, Sensible weather guarantee. For $2 and some cents a day added for your stay, they offer if it rains for 2 hours or more, you get reimbursed money for a big portion of your trip. Yes, I signed up! The way your camping goes, that would be a good investment. ; - )

    • @WanderingWagners

      Let us know if they actually refund you! We used to have reserve America but they had so many black out dates it wasn't worth it to us.

      @@WanderingWagners Ok but, you'll have to wait for 5 months. My reservations are for Memorial day week. As often as you camp, you might want to try it first. : - )

    The owner of the business I work for is on the board and contributes time and money. I believe the hallway under construction that goes to the top is named after them. I'm always seeing them evaluating new items like the gas masks and pictures. I visited for the first time this year and thought it was fantastic. That first area has a picture of my distant great grandfather. Told my wife to shut up because he was the main bad guy.

    Really cool museum. I don’t know much history about WWI other than trench warfare which. So much to learn about the artillery pieces and support roles to soldiers fighting in the trenches. We gotta add this to our list of places to see. Great video guys!

    Great video! That is a fantastic museum. We’ve been a couple times when we lived in Olathe, KS (sw burb of KCK). You might also enjoy The Arabia Steamboat museum downtown as well. It sank in the late 1800’s and 2 treasure hunters found it in a farmers field buried, where the old MO. River used to be back then. The dug it up. You should go see it and the stuff they got out of it.

    FREE entirely USMC museum in Quantico VA. I went in for 2 hours. Spent 8 closed the place and spent 2 more hours in the outside. USMC for 6.5 years, it motivates the dog doo out of me when Americans look back into history. It's so important. And.... being my MOS was 4131 I have to say you nailed the WB in the museum 🤣🤣🤣
    I'm putting this on my bucket list for a dry day.... I'm going up those steps. 🤣🤣 tip on the USMC museum is take 70 81 66 to 17 Warrenton to 95 or 66 234 to 95. Avoid DC rat race. And bonus. Skyline Drive is enroute for a jeep diversion. That's an all day thing too.

      Yes we still use the waggle and we use it with our smart RV thermostat from MicroAir. It's accurate and we trust it! With the thermostat we can adjust temps on the fly if needed because we have a hot spot at the RV
