I was hired by a school this year and have been making hype videos for them. Just finishing up my basketball intro videos and will get going on their hype videos this weekend. All your videos have helped tremendously. Before this year I was mainly corporate and weddings. I photograph with two Sony A1’s and do most of my videos with two Sony y A7siii’s. I do 99.999% of my filming in sLog as well. Only tip I would add I want my exposure meter showing +1.7 so I set my ISO to auto and exposure dial to +1.7 that way I have only less thing to adjust. Everything else is manual. Thanks again for all the info you put out there, your bundle and soundfx’s will be a staple in my FCPx edits!!!:)
Love it! You have the best channel of its kind. I would love to know how you pick your proper exposure at the beginning of each indoor game (and for changing light outdoors).
This video was great but just had a quick question. When I was trying to set my picture profile to S-log3 it says I cant due to me using Cine el as my log shooting am I doing somthing wrong? Just swiched over from canon and slightly confused.
It's pretty much the same thing. But every time the exact setting option I used in this video is not available, just pick the highest quality option available instead.
Hello all! I’m just getting into sports videography, and intend on shooting the majority of my high school’s home events this year (football, basketball, soccer, volleyball & cross country). So, I have a few question regarding the camera I purchased, the Canon EOS Rebel T7 (currently have the 18-55mm lens that came with it & a 75-300mm I bought separately). Is it good for sports videography? Does anyone believe there are better setup options out there on a budget (anywhere from $600-$700)?
This is a great place to start. Nothing wrong with that. As you film more and more with this kit, you’ll have a better idea of what you’re missing and what you want to invest in next.
What you think about filming a basketball footage with iphone 14 pro max? Is possible to have amazing results, especially those deep cinematic videos of athletes. I usually have baseline or sideline positions so i can be really near to the players.
It won’t be as cinematic as a mirrorless camera but you can still get good results. Here’s a video I made about filming basketball with that same phone ruclips.net/video/wsy1Lglw5Rs/видео.htmlsi=52t9RvVGolqpO-Sh
@@oscargasennelwe3364 On your lens (close to the glass) it should mention the diameter of your lens. This should be a number between 55 and 82mm. That's the size of the variable ND filter you should buy.
@@oscargasennelwe3364 Same as in the video but probably stay away from S-LOG3. Check my video about picture profiles to see your options ruclips.net/video/s1vtQ7TPWxY/видео.htmlsi=3cKbOdEtznya0Irm
So needed this video because I'm just starting out and I was wondering what settings I should use. Can these settings be used for a Canon? If not, is there video settings you recommend?
Settings are the same on every camera. Some highest quality options won't be available on cheaper models, and the settings menu will look different on each camera brand, but the functions are all the same.
Im pretty sure I went through every meaningful setting one by one. I even included a free pdf with all the info written down. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Is there a setting in my recipe that surprises you or that you disagree with?
I’ve been waiting for you to make a video like this. Thank you!!
You’re welcome ☺️
You’ve saved me so much time over the past few months with your great videos.
Glad I can help! 👍🏽

Thank you! I film in SLOG3 so I try to keep my exposure meter between 1.3-1.7 as much as possible.
WOW. You must be a mind reader and knew I needed this. I've just been adjusting things in post. Good looking out!!!!!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! I really appreciate your time and effort to teach these things!
😊
Thanks for this video and thanks for the pdf document as well. They are both very appreciated ❤
You’re welcome! 😊
😂😂😂 you know I love you for this video, fx30 and all .. thank you brother I really appreciate it 🙏🏾
Thank you 😊
could you make a video on laptops budget friendly that are great for editing sport videos with ease
Sorry that’s not something I know much about. I’ve been using Apple computers for the last 15 years so that’s all I know.
You’re the man!
This video was great but just had a quick question. When I was trying to set my picture profile to S-log3 it says I cant due to me using Cine el as my log shooting am I doing somthing wrong? Just swiched over from canon and slightly confused.
Cine EI is a LOG shooting mode and, once you're in Cine EI, you are automatically using S-LOG3 and all the other PP options are blocked.
@@BeyondTheGame_E Ah makes sense, Thank you for being so helpful!
Hey legend what about settings for the ZV-E10?
Just do the same things I did in this video and pick the highest quality option available.
Need that step by step video settings for the zve-10

What lense do you recommend or do you like to use regularly indoors?
Depends on your budget but here's one I recommend for all sports ruclips.net/video/MP84NHcRBHw/видео.html
Thank you. Found it after I asked the question😇@@BeyondTheGame_E
Please help with the soccer (outfield) settings. I struggle sometimes with it🍷🏃♂️.
It’s basically the same thing but with an extra variable ND filter to control the exposure.
I use a Sony ZV-E10 with a 18-200mm lense, which ND filter can I buy🍷🏃♂️?

do have have any settings that is good for the sony zv e10 for basketball photography and videography?
This is pretty much what the settings in this video are. Not for photography though I only do video.

@@BeyondTheGame_E Just what I needed to know. Do these same settings apply to football?
@@vickiadj pretty much but with football you’ll need to use a variable ND filter.
Do these settings work for the a6400 like are the settings all around
Yes but some won’t be available on the A6400.
@@BeyondTheGame_E perfect thank you
Can u get a copyright strike on a video with no copyright claim on it
Yes. If there’s a good reason for your video to get a strike, you won’t get a claim first as a warning of something, you’ll get a strike straight up.
Canon settings?
Sorry I only have Sony cameras. But it's exactly the same. Only some terminology might be slightly different.
Man’s didn’t explain anything
