    Recently got the Tamron 35-150 for my fx3 after weeks of thinking and comparing to the 70-200 GM II. Thankfully for your review and @petersarellas videos!!! Also I think what really made me choose this is just its versatility. 35mm vs 70mm is way bigger difference than 150mm vs 200mm. (clear image zoom can cover that range, but its literally only 2 team sports that require longer focal length (NFL and Soccer) for everything else 35-150/225 (40-250 with the x1.13 crop, active steady shot turned on) is more than enough. PS.: Nowadays for vertical content crop people tend to shoot a little wider anyway... also on an A7IV at 4k60fps I can get around 55-340mm out of this lens with the x1.5 crop and additional clear image zoom) if I don't need 120fps that the fx3 provides.

    Thank you for your videos as they've really been a huge help because I'm looking to get started with videography to film my town's basketball teams. Problem I'm having now is a bit of analysis paralysis! I can decide between the Sony FX30 and the Sony ZV-E10. I've procrastinated so long in buying a camera (2 months) that I actually now have the budget for FX30 and the Tamron 28-75. I'm just stuck thinking the FX30 is too much tech for a noob and it'll be wasted so I should just go with the ZV-E10 and grow into the FX30. I know you've mentioned about testing your creativity but some of things I'd love to be able to do, like speed ramping, I really need the FX30, right?. I'm afraid if I go with the ZV-E10 I'll be disappointed that I can't really do all that I want to do even though I know I won't be able to do everything I want to do right away cause I have a lot to learn.
    Please help me make a decision! The more I spend waffling on a camera decision the further away I am from getting experience. Thank you!

    • @BeyondTheGame_E
      @BeyondTheGame_E  8 месяцев назад +1

      I would go for the FX30 if I were you. Learning on the ZV-E10 won't be that much easier than learning on the FX30 so there's no point in buying two cameras over 2 years. Go with the FX30 but don't necessarily go straight for the full cinema modes. Start with the more basic setups and work your way up.

    Good afternoon I enjoy your videos and have a question about timeline rates. I usually record in 60fps so I can slow down some parts I recently wanted to try 120. So would I be using a 60 or 120 timeline for the entire video and just slow my certain parts? This is what makes sense to me but I see stuff about using a 24fps timeline but that seems all my video would have to be slo mo correct?

    • @BeyondTheGame_E
      @BeyondTheGame_E  9 месяцев назад

      When filming in 60 or 120fps with the intention to slow down parts of your footage in post, your timeline should always be 24 or 30fps. Filming at 60 to slow down in post but using a 60 timeline defeats the purpose because it's the same as filming in 30 and editing in 30. Thank you and sorry if I forgot to mention it but the audio unit is part of the handle that comes with the FX3. So, it's not an accessory that you can purchase separately.

      @@twright2478 haha don't sweat it, honest mistake. And really mean it when I say that I should have been more clear. I talked about the FX3 like everyone knows it almost as well as I do.

    I also have a deity s mic 2s and I don't get how you fit it in to the audio handle??????????

      This is always a problem on Sony XLR mic holders. You can use rubber bands around the mic to make it thicker or buy this amzn.to/3Nt8DRU

      Yes definitely. I just wouldn't recommend it if you plan on filming the entire game from start to finish like a live broadcast.

    man i just find the 35-150 tamron to be too sluggish for shooting basketball, but that could be because im literally the size of a child.

      Depends what you mean by sluggish but yeah, it is certainly heavy.
